List of all the websites that are being targeted starts on page 10. RIP.
If HS can still be around all these years what makes you think they have a chance of taking Nyaa down?
The only things I visit there are:
And I could say about few filesharing sites I get my manga from the scanlators, so it wouldn't be a big lose as long I will keep my bookmark to the individual scanlators and fansubbers pages.
At least they don't target hentai porn sites there,
Interesting that no effort is made to go after fansubber and scanlators. Don't really see this effort affecting /a/non at the slightest. It might hurt casuals with their streams, but no one care about them.
IRC for life
>mfw downloading at 4MB/s from bots
I just noticed this, almost nothing to worry about since this is the case (there never really was much to worry about, but you never know).
All the anime on BakaBT will be up on a different tracker within a day even if every other source goes down.
>all them dead MU links and lost content
> daiz hacks mangatraders
> daiz orders boycott on tokiotosho
> few months later, japan attacks and kills all the biggest anime and manga related websites
I told you this was going to happen.
What is the point of killing the actual fans who buy the stuff to scanlate them?
Killing the big spreading sites is a way to go.
From other side I don't see japanese publishers going after doujin artists, who by stealing their characters popularity and putting them in some situations different from canon depiction, earn some money during comic events.
They should first fix that and make every doujin work free as a true fanart should be.
File hosts are targeted too, so /a/ might have to revert back to using XDCC again for scanlations. Otherwise, none of those sites listed really affect /a/ since anon doesn't stream.
I really can't see them successfully going after torrenting sites like nyaa. Youtube I think will start being really anal about copyrighted stuff like they were back in 2007 and 2008, and that it will work for.
I think that many of the fansub group websites are hosted by Nyaa as well. If Nyaa was taken down they would have to find reliable hosting, most likely in a jurisdiction with weak copyright laws. I doubt that would even be as cheap for them.
Based Japan getting rid of the torrent threat worldwide.
Why would a Berlin-based marketing consulting group be tasked with going after anime/manga torrent and scanlation sites? It really doesn't fit anywhere near their area of specialization.
I just went to those anime streaming sites that I was using years ago before I started downloading my anime. Since when they are in HD? It's probably not true HD but damn, it looks way better now.
Basically this. I already pay for the internet and for the anime or manga I consider good enough to buy. I even pay for the fucking TV here in Germany even though I never watch this shit but I have to pay for it because I have internet.
Fuck this. I don't want to pay all things thrice.
Most of those sites are based in China or won't give a shit.
I'm worried if they go after MangaUpdates even accidentally because the people hosting it are retards and there isn't a backup of it.
Also no Batoto backup either. We should start that up.
By doing what he did. Get nyaa powerful enough, befriend and turn the fansubbing community into a circlejerk, boycott everything else and then let the japanese masters take over from there
There's no simple coincidence that mangatraders, tokyotosho AND exhentai have all been directly put under heavy fire either by the "scene" or by official japanese right holders. Anime is dying folks, hope you'll enjoy dokidoki from now on
Worst case scenario, if all major countries make .torrent files themselves illegal and enforce monitoring of all user activities, we will still have hashes such as magnet links, ed2k, dc or whatever.
all they have to do is submit one claim and youtube will go full buttrape for a few months, flagging all content even remotely related to anime and generally being retarded until people get pissed enough and it stops.
I hope Nyaa goes down so all the casualfags that can't into XDCC will leave.
A backup Batoto and Kissmanga is something that needs to be done.
Stuff that wasn't in the MT rip (A lot of stuff).
Was japanese animation dying before people started to stream it everywhere on the net? No. It's after that started that little animation studios went bankrupted and everyone started to say that anime was only targeting people who would pay for fanservice. So it's time for Japan to reset anime and offer it, itself and not others who want to think they have rights on it, for money as it has always been the case.
If you can't pay for it, well it means it's time for you to get out of your mom's basement.
Let's hope. I think it's the most popular site for normalfags so they'll probably get afraid if they hear that it was taken down because of copyright shit and stop reading manga.
No, shill. I just nostalgia'd when I checked the list and see those streaming websites so I visited few of them that I was using before.
Yeah, old anime are still shit. but have you checked on the ongoing series? The quality is now way better.
If you can make the 00 Unit, you can make a backup. Chop chop, sensei.
It was already popular before people started to massively pirate it. It was everywhere on european TVs and publications and was without any doubts making much more money than now.
Nyaa is rank rank five in their order of precedence and in the notes on the furthest right column it says "to delete"
Guys, they are trying to delete nyaa.
Yes but god isn't his name. The book was talking about the tetragrammaton which was substituted by "lord".
Older people usually don't get this. They only think sharing = evil and that's it. They would never consider the fact that people are actually buying manga because they started to read them online and considered them as good. Or that manga is only popular because of fan translation in the first place.
>If you can't pay for it, well it means it's time for you to get out of your mom's basement.
How does moving out get you more money?
Anime studios have ALWAYS been cutting it close it streaming doesn't help but its hardly the only cause.
Anime airs on TV in Japan for free, Its free while airing and reruns are also free if you can't pirate just record off TV.
Money is mostly made from merchandise something people don't really know is that in Japan they didn't expect people to buy to the DVDs thoes DVD's were supposed to be rental thats why its so much for only a few episodes, People just brought them anyway.
>Anime dies in the west
>SnK and Madokafags need to get new hobbies because they can't into anything other than streams or torrents
Isn't that actually good?
>anime start being hard as hell to provide
>people stop using CR because why not
>/a/ keeps doing their shit as we always do
>summers will actually be good
Normalfags don't torrent anime. normalfags don't watch anime. If they do it's strictly naruto or bleach. Even fewer of those would ever post here. We are already a tiny minority.
This is obviously 4th level sanctions against Russia.Putin wont last long without chinese cartoons.
I'm pretty sure US has been pressuring Sweden for years now because of Hollywood.
If Hollywood and the video game industry can't do shit, how do you expect the anime industry can do something about the piracy?
> fansubs will die because they don't have their circlejerks anymore
> not even raws, let alone subs
> giant queues for downloading on xdcc
> threads every day about how to pirate animu
> most of the hardcore /a/ users are usually retards spending their time in idolmaster and kancolle threads
Enjoy being /jp/ 2.0
I know some that still use it.
Oh, yeah? There's a Naruto and Bleach thread right now that's nearing 500 posts as we speak. And those threads are compose of normalfags and cancer. And don't ever think that they only stay on those threads.
> implying the majority of /a actually cares
Every time I make a thread talking about fansubs and shit, all I see is
> GET HS FAGGOT
> DAIZ AND HIS MAFIA MUST DIE
> BOYCOTT FANSUBS
And so on. It doesn't even really matter at this point, most of you retards just watch CR/funi shit anyway
Daiz killed it.
They are really fucking delusional. I'd rather stop watching their shitty cartoons than pay for them. Even including subscription to sites like CrunchyRoll.
Anime will become even more obscure.
>Roland Berger Strategy Consultants
A new tracker/search engine would be easy to throw up again. It's not like Nyaa needs to actively host torrent files. This is just fear mongering since the whole stopping people from recording and distributing things just doesn't work.
>their government thinks that anime and manga would actually be a viable export without scanlations and fansubs
What morons, the only reason either are bought is due to being able to watch anime and read manga online, not to mention all those publishers look at what is popular online first before publishing it in the west.
>it's fucking run of the mill report that /a/ can't even read
>/a/ spergs out
I know it's summer and Wednesday on top of that but come the fuck on.
Not everything is available on bots you know.
In all honesty, as things stand, Crunchyroll keeps anime a viable export. Most fansubs nowadays are just edits of CR subs anyway.
>all those streaming sites
Do the normals know? If this actually gets bad normals will perform favors for you to use your hard drive anons.
>people start using xdcc
>servers getting too fucked up because of mass use
It's like you don't even remember XDCC way back when. That shit can take ages if there's hundreds of people lining up to download the shit.
Stream sites allow people who use XDCC to actually have good enough speeds to not get fucked up.
Hah. You guys are worrying about nothing if they really think they can do anything to torrent trackers like Nyaa, TPB, Kickass, and Tokyo Toshokan.
If the MPAA and the US Government can't do anything about hollywood movies being uploaded what makes you think Japan can do anything about Anime and Manga?
And we wouldn't have a problem and just wait a bit until they disappear or the mods would ban those those after some time.
The problem are always the few tumblr- and facebook shits on /a/ who want to help retards because they think everything is a "secret club" and that anons are mean.
>Japan plans campaign to curb manga, anime copyright violations abroad. The government will initiate in August a major campaign to curtail the rampant practice, mainly in China
>Implying China will listen to Japs
>Implying China couldn't blow Japan the fuck out in a matter of days if it wanted.
They won't give a shit either as long as nyaa and Daiz don't bend over.
I'm more worried about Batoto and Kissmanga because a lot of that stuff on there hasn't been backed up and they are likely to crumple.
I want to watch things when I want to and how I want to. It needs to be on my physical hard drives, maybe one day when things are at reasonable prices ($5 for a whole season), sure I might consider it.
There's generally no new anime to talk about and it's rather boring during Wednesdays so people spend their time pretending to be retarded like in this thread I guess.
Or Jump release draws even more retards in than I realized.
Well /a/, it's been fun.
What are you all going to do now that anime is going to die over here? I personally might just take up fishing.
Probably because the scale is way too limited. You're going to spend hundreds of thousands in legal costs to take down what amounts to minute losses. XDCC, unlike torrents, are limited by your hardware.
These threads always go the same way, Im surprised nobody mentioned mayan calendar and end of the world yet
This is a chance to wipe out your backlog. PERMANENTLY
>Where to watch
Yeah. It's not like things were secret here anyway. People just have to use their brain and search in the archive or something but normal fags are too stupid for that. It's a good thing because we get rid of retards that way.
I've honestly seen anime fans on other websites who were too stupid to understand torrents. I don't want such idiots on /a/.
I know they probably want to go after the big fish first. But just threatening with legal actions would be enough for most host of XDCC filesharing bots to close down, because legally they have nothing to stand on and risk even jailtime.
people here put to much faith in XDCC.
What can I say? I'm willing to put in some dosh if it means I get a relaxing hobby that occasionally makes me pissed off.
I also have a chance at catching a qt mermaid waifu, r-right?
Manga business is broken in the west because they still pretend they have a consumer market. Reality is, anime and manga are niche, therefore the customers have a Collector mentality, not a Consumer one.
Collectors don't buy because they want something to watch or read, they buy because they already seen the show and absolutely must own a piece of it. Ownership is almost entirely symbolic.
How many TB do I need to download all the manga scanlated in existence?
The manga scene is in much critical situation because of MT going down. And you can't really trust online readers like Batoto because it seem so fragile. They can't even host adult manga for some fucking reason. Mangafox and other different chinese shit won't go down but the quality is so shit.
B-but I use the RSS feeds from Nyaa to automate my XDCC downloads...
>Actually, how come we don't see this?
>What is it with crazy Japs and their inability to market anime outside the country?
The reason we don't see this, is because it would totally destroy the sustainable and reliable business model held in Japan. Making them lose their native market.
I knew kids that wrote celebrity names in their "to kill" books during school too. Nothing happened, the person who wrote list was actually just a pussy all along.
Same thing here, Japan are fucking subuman pussy faggots and won't actually be able to do anything against people who aren't intimidated by their C&Ds.
Anime and manga is becoming more and more socially acceptable. It wouldn't be the first time i see a 30yo housewife reading manga on her Ipad on the train.
But yes, our mentality here is different. The only business model that would work here is a subscription type like crunchyroll
It's ogre. The time of free anime/manga is ded. For all you neckbeards and social rejects to get out and gets jobs, start contributing to society and then buy anime/manga with your own money now. Welcome to the real world, enjoy your stay.
Funny thing is that if all the fansubs and scanlations didn't exist the amount of Western anime fans would be tiny like it was in the 80's.
I guess that now it's big enough they can take down that shit and know that the foreign target market is big enough that they can make money from pay sites.
Like the Chinese would give a fuck
But XDCC on public channels are transparent as fuck. With every download being logged on the channels.
Also, if everyone were to use XDCC, it would barely work for you either due to the general weakness XDCC has towards strain.
>t411 is not on the list.
Feel good to be french.
>Why, are japanese unable to buy manga/anime online?
No. That is the exact thing. They are able to buy anime and manga online. And if they were to purchase anime and manga online at 10th the normal price, the industry would die.
>Oh my god will Nyaa be kill?!
No. You guys need to chill the fuck out.
But Daiz, will manga be kill?
I'm kind of worried about the manga not backed up which is on Batoto and Kissmanga.
Please God, make it happen.
> . And if they were to purchase anime and manga online at 10th the normal price, the industry would die.
You mean like the PC gaming industry did once online was more pro-eminent than retail?
There's a reason why that image is about the Steam. Because it works. A game being or not being on Steam is the difference between successful or not.
Besides, you've seen the charts. It's usually a couple of thousand faggots buying those. I'm sure most of them know about pirating but buy the BDs for collection purposes or for supporting the industry by default.
You also said exhentai would be fine.
> traditional licensing.
In other words, peanuts
What jap-fags don't get is that traditional licensing is a dying breed, for the manga and anime in particular. They need to extend to online markets like music, film, tv and video games are doing.
You are trying to apply business models outside of Japan, on Japan.
The anime industry has tried lowering their prices, and while sales did increase, everyone involved lost money on it. It's why the prices have stayed the same.
>being this retarded
Hey Daiz, stop fucking around in this thread, and finish Barakamon and Gekkan Shoujou
4MB/s is certainly a fuckload more than what is required for watching without buffering, and XDCC is downloaded sequentially, so you can watch it from as soon as you start the download.
> You are trying to apply business models outside of Japan, on Japan.
No, I'm trying to apply business models outside of Japan, OUTSIDE of Japan.
I'm pretty sure that selling anime for peanuts over a popular service would give them an equal or higher amount of money than expensive BDs numbers barely crossing the Manabi line.
I mean, the idea that they make money because of the fanboys who buy the BDs AFTER they have already seen the show is crazy and unhealthy on its own.
NO PLS THIS CAN'T BE HAPPENING
PLS DONT TAKE THE THING THAT STILL KEEPING ME ALIVE
>praying for things that will never happen
You didn't pay attention the last time they went after online readers, huh?
>batoto goes down
>mangafox lives forever
>All this purging
well at least they're thanking us
Say, why do the nips care about translated manga anyway? Like 90% of the publications never get officially translated, it's not aimed at audience outside japan so do they just expect us to learn their language so we can import and read it ourselves or pay to read from a reduced list that should appeal to normalfags in order to have such translation?
This pleases Mugi significantly less.
