I know a lot of people preferred the OAV's ost, but I really liked the subtlty of the tv series' ost. I think it has to do with the relatively simple, understated instrumentation. It really amplified Mari Okada's atmosphere, which she is really good at. This and Wixoss both have this suffocating atmosphere to them, like being completely alone in the middle of a huge city, despite being surrounded.

Seriously, though. I loved the music from the Tsukihime anime. One of the first OST cds I bought. Admittedly didn't have much to choose from, as I only had access to what Geneon brought over, but still a great OST. And the opening was amazing. It's sadly rare we get a proper opening, and not just some random jpop song the label is trying to promote.
