A lot of really old stuff like RAWs to anime that never got a DVD or BD release was lost.

And while I know dubs are a contentious issue on /a/, some really old series from the 80s that only were only mildly popular on local levels in Europe were lost to this and are basically lost forever because the original master tapes do not exist anymore in a lot of cases (and it is unlikely those shows are going to get subbed).

Similarly, while the popular stuff will probably survive this purge aswell, you cannot guarantee everything is going to survive
