What do you do when you run low on space? Do you buy more hard drives? Delete some series? Burn them to DVD?

I am too poor for the first, and no longer want to do the second. What's the best way to burn my animus to a DVD without too much quality loss?

I have an almost limitless supply of DVD+Rs

I will never stream.

>not that easy to get a job while NEET

It's easier than you might think.

There are tons of shitty jobs out there that cycle away half of their staff practically every month, and many of their employees are the dumbest of the dumb, have been exceedingly short sighted in regards to handling their jobs, and have criminal records.

Take one of these jobs (dress nice, be positive, and show confidence that you can do job the right; if they're interviewing you, you have a chance) and hold it down for six months to a year. And get in good with your bosses. All you have to do is always do as you're told, make sure that you're always busy, and be smarter than the aforementioned idiots, and you'll be fine.

Then start looking for a higher paying job. You know how your bosses like you? Get them to give you a good reference. That goes a long ways.

Congratulations, you now probably have a paycheck that you could even move out on if you wanted.

</my story about ending my NEET period>

unless you plan to rewatch it or sharing it with friends, it's kind of a waste of space to keep everything you've downloaded.

If then you want to watch again something you don't have anymore, just download it again.

Exceptions for dead/hardly seeded torrents that takes ages to completely download.

External HDDs are not that expansive nowadays... Not to mention it's worth investing your money into.

For example, I picked up this one for only 50 bucks.

That said, you should also pick up a decent 2~3TB internal HDD as well for convenience. This again doesn't cost that much.
>>
>feelio when terabyte HD
>>
>>110206135
That's what most casuals do. I have a friend who only recently started watching anime again (he hasn't watched it since high school pretty much) and all he's done is watch old series he saw but never finished as a teenager. He's not really into new shows that much.

Comparatively, I pick up 15+ new shows every season and finish about 2 series a month from my backlog.

Out of the two of us, my friend is more typical.

Never buy an external as a complete package, compaines usually put worse HDDs in them since they're intended for the less techy customers. You can't expect the same longevity of performance, unless you know what's inside.

Buy an enclosure for your internal drives if you no longer have free 3.5" slots.
>>
>>110206380
WD is a good company for externals, but it's still wise to stick to 1.5TB and under, because larger external drives are prone to failure. If you're going to buy external drives, then go with smaller ones.

What were you expecting? You either delete anime or buy more harddrives. You can't download more HDD space like you can with RAM.

I have a good internet connection and I'd rather keep storage space for porn. I have loads of eroge just sitting on my PC uninstalled.

100 DVDs is 400GB at best, more like 300 if you don't want them to be a mess. If series is 5GB, you have to burn it on two separate DVDs.

They're extremely inefficient to use because each series requires different DVD. The process of taking one DVD out of PC, looking for another, putting it in, waiting for it to be ready takes ages compared to clicking a folder on HDD.
Burning DVDs takes a lot of time. With HDD you simply keep what you downloaded.
Also, huge difference in reading speed.

I don't think anime is easier to find than porn on the internet. Considering the fact that there is easily more porn than anime on the interwebs. Additionally, unless you want to stream anime, it would require an extra step which makes it a little bit harder. You could say the same thing about porn as well but it is so much more abundant and it comes in many forms besides video. Porn is easier to get than anime. Yet both are easy to get. Quit being retarded.

Burn the HDTVrip (mkv 1280x720 300 mb aprox) to DVD-R. I have 150 dvd burned whit anime. If a better version go out of a good anime, i reburn the dvd. And then delete them frome the pc or the external hdd.
In some point i have been spent more money buying dvd that the price of a 1 TB HDD (moar capacity that the dvd). But i can't whait for the money to buy one.

Still having to wait 20 minutes is quite inconvenient if I want to rewatch a part of a show. It's much better to have it on your drive in the first place.

Take it out of the caddy and hope it's using a SATA->USB adapter. If it is you can just plug it in over standard SATA.

It's probably a standard SATA drive in an enclosure with a USB connector, then. Which is both good and bad because there's a chance that the connector has gone rather than the drive, but you'll actually need the cables to plug it up over SATA to test otherwise.

If you click one of the numbers above with your cursor you will be able to see a post. I made that post. Inside the post are a few sentences where I explain what my reasons are for using Windows and why it's useful. You then have to move your eyes across the text in order for your brain to break down the thoughts I typed for you.

After that you can stop spouting your shit because you don't know what you're talking about and you're better off being silent.

Good luck finding working downloads for not super popular shows. For some shows you cant even find downloads 2 years after they aired

What, you think that counts as a reason?

"Guys, tons and tons of software support."

And yet you couldn't prove the statement, even though it's clearly based on quantity. You couldn't even name on piece of software that makes Windows stand on top of any other operating system.

But hey, you can use Wine on Linux. Now it has tons and tons of Windows software and tons and tons of Linux software. 1+1=2. Fucking magic.

It's Comcast.

Technically speaking in the USA we pay for our internet twice, once with our tax dollars then a second time to the ISP that maintains the servers.

so how much do you pay to comcast per month?

>Fucking please, your taxes are so fucking low.

Point being we pay for the infrastructure of our internet with our taxes every year then the Telecommunications Bill gets renewed by giving the ISP's the money so they can maintain the lines and add new ones, then they "sell" it back to us at an inflated cost.

I'm more pissed at the fact I have to pay Comcast for access at all.

I have this thing OP, I fucking love computers. I came up on hard drives and then my ex brother in law came up on hard drives at the recyc center. They tried to glue the ones from the center but they fucked it up I picked that shit up formated the drives and that shit works fine, I got 4 TBs worth of drives that's free space plus the 820 full and the 2 externals that are 3 TBs total.
>>
>>110224867
You pay jack shit. Maybe if you had to pay actual taxes, you might have infrastructure worth a damn and get something above 10 Mb/s.

OK, what this guy is getting at is that MS re-wrote the Windows kernel for NT (NT kernel) and every version since has been evolved from that and is distinct from the kernel from win 3.1, 95, 98, etc.

He's still a retarded babby "hurrrr i know some obscure technicality u dint i am compooter mastar"

There is no such thing as "the NT OS". They're all NT operating systems. Windows XP is a Windows NT operating system. Windows Vista is a Windows NT operating system. Windows 7 is a Windows NT operating system. Windows 8 is a Windows NT operating system.

As expected of a Wintard. Doesn't even know what he's using.

Yes, this is definitely odd. Bizarre, even. I don't see the word "operating system" in there. How can that be when these posts should claim you are running "the NT OS"?

>When you start leaving out my first post is when I stop trying to argue.
It's completely irrelevant. The OS question is not addressed at all.

And even if it was, you were still using a Windows NT operating system. Because all of the modern Windows operating systems are Windows NT operating systems. They even carry the version numbers.
>>
>>110225755
No matter how you look at it, every Windows iteration after NT 4.0 isn't NT anymore. NT might be the underlying kernel, but like I said, that isn't the name of the OS. Otherwise we might as well also start calling GNU/Linux Linux. That's just the end. This isn't a whole big thing. It's just common sense. If something is called x by the company that releases it, it's not y. Just that simple.
>>
Linux a shit.
>>
>>110225899
>No matter how you look at it, every Windows iteration after NT 4.0 isn't NT anymore. NT might be the underlying kernel, but like I said, that isn't the name of the OS.
But it is the version of the OS.

Windows XP is Windows NT 5.2.
Windows 7 is Windows NT 6.1.
Windows 8 is Windows NT 6.2.

"Windows XP", "Windows 7" and "Windows 8" are just names to market the different versions of the Windows NT system to babies like you who don't know anything about the operating system they're using. Might as well think that OS X 10.7 and OS X 10.8 aren't OS X, because one of them is named "Lion" and one of them is named "Mountain Lion".

>NT might be the underlying kernel
NT is the entire family of operating systems. The underlying kernel is the "Windows NT kernel". Because it's the kernel of the Windows NT family of operating systems.

As expected you don't know how basic analogy works either. It would be closer to saying OS X isn't unix, which it obviously isn't. OS X isn't a kernel you fucking MORON.

The initial topic at hand seems to be the kernel of the system. And as you seem to think "Windows NT" is a kernel (it isn't), why would you jump to say that you're not running Windows NT?
