Jaegers were the good guys.
>upholding law and order
>strong camaraderiec bonds between members
>formed specifically to combat a group of hired killers
Sounds about right
"Evil Tyrant" Esdeath:
>Makes sure not to put her subordinates and soldiers in unneccessary harm's way
>Only expects of her men what she expests of herself
>Cares for the mental health of her subordinates (takes care of Seryu after Stylish' death, insists on Bols taking his mask off when eating with the other Jaegers)
>Mourns the death of her former subordinates, the Three Demons (albeit with some harsh words accompanying them)
>Has won the unquestioning loyalty of her soldiers (why else would that one nameless goon have an Esdeath sticker on his sword?)
She's not perfect and she's still a sadist who tortures for fun and breeds war for sport, but let's compare her counterpart
"Good guy" Najenda:
>Sends subordinates and soldiers alike on what might as well be suicide missions
>Refrains from personally acting on the frontlines, she prefers barking orders to leading by example
>The mental health of her subordinates is never brought up until Tyrant literally starts taking over Tatsumi's mind and body
>Mourning the dead is kept to an absolute minimum
>Due to her shoddy leadership her soldiers waver at the first sign of bad news (compare Esdeath's men, who never lose faith)
>Her very first action as head of the provisional government is EXECUTING AN UNDERAGE CHILD
Some people say Akame ga Kill is edgy shounenshit that tries but fails to tell a grey morality story. In fact the moral of the story is brilliantly grey: history is written by the victors.

Toeifags existence makes no sense Edition
>MC is transported/reincarnated into a fantasy world
>either becomes super powerful shortly after the series starts, or was already super powerful before
>the strongest natives only have a fraction of the MC's power
>this isn't a problem though, because the MC is a good guy who never abuses his power intentionally
>quickly gains at least one love interest which quickly expands into a harem
>despite having zero romantic intentions for any of the girls, they all remain devoted to him forever
>harem includes mostly blatant stereotypes like the elf waifu or a flat chested tsundere who's main rival is a big breasted girl
>if there is an adventurer's guild, the MC always signs up and starts from the lowest rank while hiding his real power
>the female staff of the adventurer's guild always falls in love with him (but he will not notice or further the relationship)
>the series never explores how the MC got transported to another world till the very end of the series, or it is quickly glossed over with a "a god did it" explanation at the beginning
>the MC never encounters any difficulties with the local language or his out of place clothes
>any fantasy world currency that the MC already had before the start of the series is incredibly valuable because it is long lost legendary gold or something
>the fantasy world natives constantly freak out over how amazing the MC is but he is always humble and never exploits it to his advantage
>MC often gains a token male best friend who is there mainly to help the MC show off. He will also be forever alone because all the girls are lusting after the MC who shows zero interest in them.

Rate, hate and conversate!
TTGL, Tatami and Mushishi were all amazing, Ping Pong was great, though I prefered most other Yuasa works more. Sword of the Stranger was a bit unsignificant to me besides the fights. Shinsekai Yori had a cool atmosphere and I have negative feelings towards Psycho-Pass and Fate in genera;
Miyu Irino (Todomatsu) has decided to go study abroad for a while so let's have an osomatsu thread to mourn our crushed dreams of a season 2.
Also here are some summaries for the Atomatsu novel that just came out.

Fourth special confirmed for brainwashed Rin x Luvia stuff.
How lewd it will be?
Dude, their prideful minds which are only things that holds them back, will be gone in this special. Just mindless bodies driven by basic instincts and orders by Ainsworths. Who knows what can happen in such constellation.
Is there a reason why your waifu isn't /fit/?
Reminder that Shinji is straight
