Anyone have any updates on what's going on with Ashihara Daisuke, "World Trigger" author? The last chapter of manga was released in November 2016, with the note that the author is going on an indefinite leave due to his poor physical health. It happened before, but usually didn't last as long (week or two tops). The anime adaptation also ended with no hints for continuation (it was shit supposedly), even though the manga sold rather well when it was still coming out.
>wouldn't be surprised if the next announcement was authors death
his hands are still fucked and I doubt he'll come back. Back during the osamu hospital chapter he already wanted to drop the manga because of his health. seems like he hit a point where he cant decide it on his own anymore.

You seem to be having more info on the topic than I do. Can you elaborate? What's with his hands? I thought it was something with his neck.
Who else is enjoying Birdmen? I don't see often threads about it which is actually kinda surprising.
Do you think we are just at the beginning of the story?
you have 10 (ten) seconds to pick the best Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei
who would adapt Mr.Bean the best?
Nobody because Mr. Bean is a uniquely British thing and would just get butchered to hell and back if attempted by a different culture with different standards of humor, just like how any Japanese anime adapted to a Hollywood movie would be a shitfest.

>HSDK goes on for 500+ chapters
>dozens of translation groups work on the series
>poor ending, but overall fun manga
>author creates new manga, now with science and magic
>revealed that story is either a spinoff or stealth sequel to HSDK
>no one is interested in translating
Any Punchlinehaters here? I'd really like to beat the shit out of you.
Initial D is literally just a generic battle shounen with cars.
>shit art (at least it was endearingly bad at first)
>poor writing (especially past S3)
>battles that take 3+ episodes to conclude
>everyone having an ultimate skill but also a weakness
>effectively no character progression past S3
>overpowered protagonist who never (officially) loses
>power levels that become ridiculous (FUJIWARA ZONE)
>wasting a bunch of time with talking heads narrating the races
The more I think about it, the more I realize music is literally all Initial D has going for it. They don't even put much personality into the cars, they're just tryhard racecars we know nothing about.
>Initial D is literally just a generic battle shounen with cars.
It's a sports manga. Battle manga are an offshoot of sports manga. You have it backwards. How do you not know this anyway?
>Dies in the ending
I really really like this image though and I've never seen this show, it kind makes me want to watch Fractale but I'm worried the show sucks and will ruin my appreciation of this image
Did any of you enjoy this show? Seems like it could be a cozy show
It had a few good visuals here and there, and the basic concept and setting were pretty interesting, but the implementation and storyline was like a train jumping off a bridge into a giant septic tank filed with 1000 years of feces.
I watched half of it, but I don't remember anything I saw or what the shoe was about
Did the Atelier dude do the character designs for the show?
