Anime director Yutaka Yamamoto (Yamakan) posted on his Twitter account last week that even if the crowdfunding campaign on his new Hakubo (Twilight) original anime film project does not meet its goal, he plans to continue production on the project.
The campaign seeks to raise 15 million yen (about US$131,598) to fund production, and as of press time has raised 5,570,515 yen (about US$48,680) with 52 days remaining. The campaign will end on April 29. The film is slated for 2018.
Yamamoto is planning the anime as the last of his self-described "Tōhoku trilogy" set in Japan's Tōhoku region in the northeast. Hakubo in particular follows youths living in "the now and present" in Iwaki City, Fukushima Prefecture after the Tohoku earthquake and tsunami of March 11, 2011. (The previous two Tōhoku projects, blossom and Wake Up, Girls!, were set in the town of Otsuchi, Iwate Prefecture and Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture, respectively.)
Yamamoto said that he first conceived of the project's initial concept two decades ago when he was in college. When he mulled over what would be a good perspective to depict Fukushima, he recalled this idea from his past and set it in Tohoku.
"A way of life that could be anywhere, experienced by a girl who could be anywhere.
A life that could be anywhere.
A love that could be anywhere."
Yamamoto will post the original novel that inspired the anime on the web.

They will race behind you, they will stumble, they will fall but in time, they will join you in the sun, Yamakan.
In time, you will help them accomplish wonders.
So will it be good

Your instincts tell you that they need to find a stable mate quickly or else they will turn into sluts.
They just are.
I"M SO MAD YES THIS MY FIRST TIME WATCHING MACROSS FRONTIER, HOW COULD THEY DO THIS TO HER. RANKA DID NOTHING WRONG COMPARED TO THAT MASSIVE CUNT SHERYL.
It's even better in the movies. Ranka gets shafted.

I see no problem with this.
ITT: Individual episodes of anime that you go back and rewatch on their own a lot

I go back and watch "The Shuddering Mountain" episodes of Gundam 8th MS Team periodically.
So I feel that I'm late to the party on this one, but I just finished the animated Re: Zero.
Some notes before getting into this.
1.Rem is best girl.
Now that we have that out of the way, I feel that the ending of the Anime was actually pretty clever. After defeating the cult and saving Emilia and reconciling the romantic issues they're working through, the story ends, leaving an obvious long road ahead of Subaru. There's the obvious implication of 5 more sin bosses.
Here's the thing. At first I was super disappointed, and wanted to go ahead and dive into the LN and mangas to finish the story, but that sinking feeling hit me.
The filler feeling.
I realized that at that point, the story was mostly done, and anything that comes after is so much padding. He's come to terms with his suffering and power, has a solid idea of how to use it appropriately, demonstrated that he's clever about it's application, and has shored up his relationship angst.
Everything between that point and the conflict with the Witch is superfluous. There's the mild mystery of how and why, but he has infinite tries to get it. The conclusion is inevitable. He's surpassed the only hurdle of any real threat,Himself.
I'm probably alone in this, but I feel that if I read anymore into the story all it would be is as many chances to get bored, or be let down, by the developing narrative.
Not to say it's perfect or anything, but it's unique and interesting and that "ending" has worked it's way under my skin in a way few forms of media ever do.
Anyhow, I just wanted to get that out there. No one IRL watches this garbage so it's been eating my brain. Carry on.
PS. Is "Re:" Reply, Regarding, or Referring to in the context of the title?
Sadness bump.
>>154358491
"Re:" is restart.
The story isn't anywhere near done and everything that comes after isn't padding. There are things he can't undo with RbD and abusing RbD isn't the answer to everything. Subaru isn't the only character that needs to develop and overcome himself. If you feel satisfied enough by the anime that you don't want to pursue anything else that's fine but it's incorrect to assume that's all the story is.
March is international women's month, and March 8th is Women's Day.

Hey /a/, is "normie" or "normalfag" the better translation for "riajuu"?
>>154358088
One is appropriate for professional translations of products being sold to the public.
Also normie rolls off the tongue much better than normalfag.
normalfriend
normie is the reddit friendly use of normalfag and normalfag is used by all the edgy kids here

> One is appropriate for professional translators of products being sold to the public.
> The other is more accurate.
Fixed.
Does this series get any better? The characters and humor are alright, but the battles make absolutely no sense.
>Meliodas effortlessly beats every opponent in his path
>wait, no, he can't beat Guila
>then he can't beat Helbram, even with demon powers
>but later, he fightes evenly with Hendrickson, who is stronger than Helbram
>King effortlessly beats Guila, because he has his weapon
>King is powerless against Helbram, despite having his weapon
>wait, no, now he can beat him for some reason
>Diane effortlessly beats Helbram, because she has her weapon
>Diane is powerless against Dreyfus, despite having her weapon
>Ban can heal from any attack
>except when the plot requires he can't, then the enemy will magically have the power to give him injuries he can't heal from
If you're not going to have tactics and strategy in a battle shounen, you have to at least default back to power levels. But Nanatsu no Taizai doesn't even have that. So far, characters win battles when the plot wants them to win, and they lose battles when the plot wants them to lose.
>>154358003
While it's not as apparent on the Manga, it is an issue that characters change power leves so often, and such contrived ways sometimes, that you really can't take that seriously at all, if you ever did.
In the manga they ended up going with numerical power leves, probably because of what you said.
Anyway, it's a battle shonen manga, this is not that unorthodox. Law of "whatever suits" might seem too arbitrary, but at the same time it can work and it is, in fact, quite a popular show.
I don't follow it too closely though, only when i really got nothing else to read.
No, it's shit.
>>154358003
The Sins weren't really serious against Guila. Mel lost to Helbram, because he went full demon. Higher raw power is not always better. Hendrickson isn't even that powerful, he was just keikaku man. Even Arthur could go 1-on-1 with him.
King didn't want to fight Helbram, he was dicking around. After Helbram tried to kil Diane, King got serious and beat him.
Diane is fucking powerful, but Dreyfus' ability is 'I win if I want to win'.
There are only really few ways to harm Ban. King tried it with petrification, and there will be soul-eating demons later. What Jericho did was something time-freeze related. It's not that Ban couldn't heal, his wounds were frozen in time.
