Fresh install, fresh load up of character. Should V8 look that dark in preview iray?
Also, EcVh0's Iray Pale Skin Shader for Genesis 8 Female(s) doesn't appear to be loading properly when applying to sections.
Daz Studio 5.0 WHEN?
Also, found a decent Gantz outfit on renderosity.
Find me some butt morphs, this is basic glute slider maxed.
SAY SOMETHING NICE! Or she pulls the trigger!!!!
The only good thing about Gen 8 (apart from the A pose being easier for content creators to make clothing for) is that it has more backwards compatibility than any other Genesis figure.
All the clothing I've made for Genesis has been for Genesis 1 and it's good that they can be used on Genesis 8.
Thanks for pointing that out. Fixed!
(previous fix was still a little janked)
Because if they made it NSFW the place would be flooded with uncanny valley, Genesis 1 + OpenGL-tier quality porn and the board would be deader than Robert de Niro's genetic lineage.
There are plenty of porn boards that should be sufficient for your needs.
I am in no need and i can somehow see your argument, but nude doesn't mean porn as this guy demonstrated.
A NSFW threat would be enough.
Its not that i want tot see a barrage of dicks and dickgirls and whatever, but i think its stupid to limit artists in their expression when they do nothing but showing a little-bit of skin.
Doing some experimentation trying to get a decent cell shading effect in Daz Studio.
Notice how the /3/ Lewd threads on /aco/ actually tend to be more helpful and with a greater level of maturity than most of the threads on /3/.
Blue Board attracts more underaged b& users who shit the place up.
You haven't been on the /3/ lewd thread have you. Most of the people posting there are posting critiques. They're just not posting "shit" and "needs more anatomies" bullshit that gets so fucking tired here.

Hope you didn't have too much bookmarked there
>unlimited sliders usually have odd effects
Many sliders/dials are masters that control multiple slaves; their limits prevent the slaves from having effects that overlap (sometimes literally) oddly.
You owe it to yourself to learn deformers.
>you STILL can't import already rigged models into Daz Studio
>you're still forced to rig your shit inside Studio with its SHIT rigging tools
What the fuck is this shit
How would one convert a V4 character head morph and skin/texture to G3?
Pic related. Material in .mt5 format
>Material in .mt5 format
Horseshit, only one material is .mt5.
Maybe you should quit pirating shit from idiots who copy files out of their runtime folders
does anyone still have a zip of some poses for M4?
I have an old character I'd like to use again
What kind of broke ass nigga are you?
Don't scoff because they're freebies, most of these are pretty good. Also, polite reminder that nearly all V4 poses/expressions work on M4 with next to no tweaking if any.
I use Hexagon (Daz product) and 3D-Coat to make my clothing for Daz Studio. Hexagon is a fantastic vertex modeller (even if it is woefully in need of an update, but hey, only $20). 3D-Coat has a hobbyist/educational license for less than $100 and is a really good sculpting program.
Hexagon has a direct bridge to Daz Studio and really should be upgraded and bundled with Daz Studio.
You can actually download the shit I've made.
It looks like it's vaguely based on a Korg RK-100 but modified enough not to get sued. I haven't downloaded it but it doesn't appear to be a very detailed model based on the picture. It looks like all the buttons and wheels are just textures.
Here's V3 with Iray. And I completely forgot to fix her clothes before I rendered this.
Absolutely nothing done to her except I changed the shaders on her and her hair. I meant to do her clothes but completely forgot in my haste to go eat while it rendered.
I use the uber script then manually adjust the shaders as needed.
>Works but everything has a plastic sheen to it.
oh right, this is permanent and can't be fixed with literally two clicks.
...does actually anyone in here ever open the material panel?
It's a shame that you still can't just have a brush and grab vertices and pull them around and you still have to use the magnets. Being able to kind of doing this with the magnets is a start but it would be neat to not have to use deformers that need some extra tweaking at all.
>It's a shame that you still can't just have a brush and grab vertices and pull them around and you still have to use the magnets
>"Don't forget to pack your hollow points, sweetie!"
>"Ugghh... I know!"
> solid white sclera with no capillaries, badly made iris rims that are either too dark or too sharp on the edges
Anons, this isn't any of your faults or the figures' but these are really cheap eye mats. Are these the defaults for G3F/G8F?
If you're using mats from a vendor, call them out here.
First off, you're showing improvement.
> That's another ugly bitch
No, this is the same head without the horizontal overscaling. If it isn't, you need to work on variation in your aesthetics (most of us do).
Brown/black healed laceration scars look fake, and all of your scars are perfectly flat to the facial contours. The white scar on the nose is white because the scar tissue is too thick for melanocytes to penetrate, so it's going to be raised. The more recent looking cross-face laceration scar is going to be a depression (i.e. a gradient line on the bump map) with a very thin pinkish line matching its contours on the diffuse map. Even mediocre lighting will catch a correct scar material and besides it's a good excuse to learn 3 point lighting and get off your DAZbabby HDRI crutch. The lip morph is a nice touch. Also, increase the bump value on the lips if the bump map isn't shit. They're too flat in general and rougher lips will sell your idea.
The eyelashes are now shorter than any human's regardless of age or gender, i.e. you overdid it here. Slide that back to about 50-75% of the default value. If this is G3F, change the gamma on the transparency map to thin the individual hairs.
FYI, one of the first things you learn when drawing the human head is that the corners of the mouth in a neutral expression are also the horizontal positions of the pupil centers. This remains a constant across age, gender and race, even where the eyes are set widely apart. Aesthetically we tolerate mouths wider than pupil centers more than the opposite.
who else /shittyCPUrendertimes/ here?
Something I like to do is stop at about the halfway mark and use the noise reducer tool in photoshop and other touching up, I just can't wait till I get a new video card so I can render in style.
guys , why does my Tab v1.03e genitalia has that transparent hip zone?
If I render it , it's all fine.
But can I change that even when I am just in texture mode or whatever?
Hmm.. That explains it.I was wondering how the hell he got the patterns so accurately.
Regarding the conversion, mind explaining a bit more? Would it involve needing to resize the dress to suit the body?
I've done like a million clothing conversions for video game mods and XPS, but never for Daz, but I assume it would be the same. Just fit the clothes as best you can, then automatically copy the bone weights from the body you're fitting the clothes too. Then if there's "special" bones, like skirt bones and such, you have to add them yourself, I just use the automatic bone weights in blender for those though
Cool. Thanks. Seems like something interesting to try perhaps. Might even give the blindfolds and hair a go I suppose.
Any idea how he did the face shaping? Some of his morphs look pretty good
So you walk into the dojo and this woman challenges you to a round of Bō.
Any idea why transfer utility wouldn't work properly on genesis 3? It seems to work fine on other models. It trchnically works but the clothing always gets totally deformed or moved in the process.
Need glasses for Genesis 3 Male that look like they could be worn by a scholar in a fantasy setting. I've found a couple of things but they're for older figures (the closest I got was Genesis 2 Male)
I know I can convert clothing pretty easily but what about stuff like glasses with head morphs? I'm kind of a newbie to this whole DAZ thing and I don't want to go downloading ancient files that it turns out I can't even use.
Now I have a problem. Hopefully you guys can help.
I'm trying to animate a scene and when I move the playhead to scrub through the timeline Daz crashes. In the regular animation tool and also in Animate.
Then you get no reflections or lighting on the character from the backdrop or environment.
You render it with iray's beauty canvas enabled. That way, only the character gets rendered but there's no backdrop.
I totally support capitalism, and believe you should never under any circumstance "pirate" anything, it is stealing, and wrong.
That being said, here's some sites.
https://zonegfx.com/ (has the most stuff, make multiple accounts for maximum loot. use a VPN and this fake email site http://fakemailbox.com/ja/)
Remember, pirating is evil.
I can't use morph loader pro or advanced for some reason.
I export as .obj with scale set to Daz Studio, then import in blender, make my edits without damaging the geometry (as in removing vertices or faces).
I export as .obj with Keep Vertex Order and -Z forward and Y up, and yet, when I import the model into morph loader pro, it says the geometry doesn't match.
I even tried using a completely unedited model (the one I exported as Daz Studio scale) and it still didn't work, so it has to be the orientation or something but I can't figure it out. Any help would be appreciated
>posting the weakest of download sites and not posting the method for simultaneously downloading multiple files without limits or captchas or spending money
You're a content creator's best friend. Or a complete newfag.
>vacuum formed shirt
well looks like that mystery's solved

>"Listen here you mick bastard..."
>tfw you go browse other peoples Daz3d renders for hours and then realize that you'll never ever ever ever ever become as good a 3d artist as the many people you looked at.
Art is painful.
Actually, I feel like I am a good 3d artist, but I have such impossibly high standards that everything I make looks like TRASH. Sometimes I'll spend like 2 and a half hours in photoshop just to make it look better, but then it ends up looking "okay".
It also doesn't help that I have such a barren Deviantfart page, I would be lucky to get even half the admiration other people get.
I think there's enough animosity on /3/ as there is, but frankly, you're a fucking idiot.
If you don't want to advertise your work that's up to you, but when you complain that nobody is paying attention to you, well, then I have to question your sense of logic.
I've been called worse by better.
But really, these are just my personal beliefs, It feels alot better when you finally do get new people that like what you do, and you didn't have to shove it in their face.
I have like 25 watchers, and they don't have more favorites than pageviews, so I'm happy if I could gain notoriety this way, it's more natural, and if I'm destined for D league fame, so be it, as long as I feel like I've earned it, I'm okay.
I actually outright asked you to post your deviantart, and you didn't. How's me asking you the same you shoving it in my face?
Your life isn't a fucking storybook. What are you, waiting for the chapter in your life where a sudden freak accident launches you into internet fame? What are you, fucking deluded? Sorry if I sound upset, but there should be absolutely no doubt in your mind why you're stagnating when you don't advertise your stuff. Grow some balls, seriously. "I don't want to shove it in people's faces". Well, be prepared to be backseated by the PEOPLE WHO WILL.
This is a huge problem for clothing that neither Poser nor DS have solved. The solution will require stepping away from UV mapping and coming up with something based on a dynamically generated undistorted subdivision, a pattern tile, origin and angle of tesselation.
If this already exists tell me.
>and I want people to naturally want to see more of me if they wish
If dA were strong enough to make external promotion unnecessary everyone would know that by now. Social media is a necessary evil for creatives who aren't employed by studios doing promotion for them.
I got a question for you, when you model and rig your clothes, do you do it for the vanilla G3F model, or if you have a character with like, enormous breasts, do you model it to the character with the enormous breasts or do you still do it on the vanilla G3F mesh?
Basically the only way I've figured out to rig clothes to my musclegirls is to first rig it to the vanilla G3F mesh, and then apply the morph on top of that. I can't seem to copy the bones from the musclegirl morph'd mesh directly. Am I making sense? Hope you understand.
If I make clothing to sell, I make it on the base character, yes. But if I'm doing a few shots of a custom character, I'll make the clothing for that one specifically and not bother rigging it. I sim the clothing for each pose I'm rendering using Marvellous Designer.
As a 3d professional, posting here just to be ripped apart by a bunch of faggots putting their characters together with sliders and dials, chucking a big fat cock on a woman and applying bought items like Lego to get some followers on their Tumblr... No thank you.
I have a big enough following to make money from ads on my own site, Patreon cash towards creating an erotic 3d game, sales from image sets on affect3d, and products and sets on renderotica.
> diversified profile between story content, games and developer content
I wish I liked your work more because you clearly sound brighter than the average person here and a lot more organized/motivated.
I'm told the terrible eyes I see in most of these renders are the default maps that come with G8F (and possibly G3F). It's completely worth the investment to find characters whose eye mats will be better than this, which should be most of them. DAZ went cheap here and it's the first part of the figure people look at.
>Patreon cash towards creating an erotic 3d game, sales from image sets on affect3d, and products and sets on renderotica.
So you're a drug dealer? Yeah I don't think anyone with self control wants to see your trash m80
Name them, oh wait you don't want to because you have some odd sense of superiority even though you're a glorified drug dealer who has no talent so he feeds off the sickness of others to make a quick buck, fuck you.
>You probably use some of my products yourself
The Renderotica vendors I buy from wouldn't be caught dead posting figures with default mats and default ambient lights, even anonymously. They actually take pride in their work.
I could however completely believe this is you: http://www.renderotica.com/artists/ManOfSteel/Gallery
>reread reply chain
>I confused you for the person you were calling out, OP
Apologies, I apparently took stupid pills for breakfast and a LOT of them.
>but you don't want to publicize it because "that's cheating"
Well think of it another way. As soon as Anon here outs himself most of us are going to run to our preferred shitty Phuongdzu site to pirate his content "just to see if it's any good."
I've had some experience converting for Fallout 4. The biggest most positive change in going over to Daz Studio has been the rigging system. What a treat! I'm used to Outfit Studio where you can't even see bone weight mesh deformation in real time, so using a rigging system that's actually half way decent a la Daz Studio has been a really positive experience.
>he's just being a contrarian
The newfriend is posting the sites downstream of the original sites that actually pirate the content themselves. The only good thing about the downstream sites is that they're more likely to use one particular filehost, which another site will gladly download in aggregate for you for zero (0) dollars.
No, I will not spoonfeed you.
> unless they're on renderotica, then you just pirate the fuck outta them
For no reason stated or implied. I haven't been ripped off by renderotica yet, what's your fucking problem (and no, I don't buy comics there)?
>make multiple accounts for maximum loot. use a VPN and this fake email site
It's sad that site won't let me make one legit account because its creator thinks there are enough IPs for every internet user or something.
Did you actually buy it on DA from him? Of course a low poly game rip is going to have shitty textures, reselling ripped game assets is pretty much the scummiest thing you can do.
Speaking of reselling ripped game assets, I'm surprised EA and Blizzard haven't gone after Wartech yet, whining about people stealing "his" work while blatantly stealing and reselling other's work. Ugh, and his conversions products sucked too, I feel sorry for people who actually paid money for it.
Son, even if she's the niggest nig who ever nigged there's no excuse for that lighting.
You actually made it worse. That's wretched. Pic related took me thirty seconds.
Waiting for Sony/Naughty Dog to take them down over TLoU.
And hilariously he's the most adamant about filehost takedowns of "his" works, usually within 72 hours of posting.
Riveting idea anon.
Seriously is there some kind of facegen plugin for Gen3 or Gen8?
Can anyone help me with PBR inputs in daz?
For example, I take a sbsar file from substance source, put it into B2M, it gives me all the outputs I could need, diff, metallic, gloss, roughness, normal, spec, ao, etc etc
In daz, after applying the iray uber base shader and selecting PBR, theres like 5 different glossy/rougness related inputs, i can't for the life of me figure out which ones I should put in, I play around by trial and error but none of them turn out quite as the material should look, and I was under the impression the whole point of PBR is a material that should keep its look regardless of lighting, for the most part.
heres a mummy
What are the basics of importing an .OBJ weapon and posing it with a character?
Assuming I import with correct scale and associate textures correctly, do I just parent it to the figure's hand?
Well the IK rig is dogshit wrapped in catshit and the posing system as a whole is horseshit wrapped in bullshit, for a start.
And, the way I do it is to create a base for the pose by rotating the limbs individually. Generally only need to manipulate the upper and lower arms and legs, as well as hips and torso this way in order to create a decent pose. For finnickiness and small adjustments I tend to grab and drag a limb into position, but you have to continuously lock and unlock other limbs or the whole body will move with. It's shit.
Say what you want about TK17, but they at least get the posing system right. It can take me literally two minutes to create a decent pose in TK17 that would take me 15+ minutes in Daz Studio ONLY because the posing system is so fucking bad.
I thought it was some compatibility issue with newer genesis figures and poser.
Until Genesis 3 the Genesis figures could be converted for use in Poser.
What DS has over Poser right now is mainly a better set of shaders out of the box and that make it dead simple to set up, light and render a scene.
The G3/G8 figures are low res trash but they're bundled with the application and desperate vendors will jump on literally ANYTHING that's a DAZ figure because they sell well to whatever generation picks up DS as a hobby for a year and a half.
Poser won't reward lazy people with instantly great looking renders but I hasten to add that knowledgeable users have already invested heavily in graphics cards and external renderers like Octane/Reality for both DS and Poser.
DS has a few competitive features like geoshells and geografting but performancewise it starts to die when you have more than a few figures in a scene.
You won't get fucked learning either program.
>daz3d will never include animation generators like this
>daz3d will never have basic animation tools as anything other than third-party plugins
>daz3d development will never be anything other than adding spyware and gluing in nvidia's updates for iray
fuck my life
To imagine Daz thinks they can take down Autodesk with their shitty program.
Here's a thought, why don't they just open source Studio? They make money off the store, not the program, and it might even get some development once in a while.
>why don't they just open source Studio
Because then it couldn't have DRM
Because then they couldn't charge for HD Morphs SDKs and force developers to only sell content using it through their store
Because they wouldn't be able to include Iray
Because people would break encrypted scripts
Because they built the entire fucking thing as a black box on purpose and said so when they announced it back when Poser 5 was a thing
Because it wouldn't be integrated with the god holy store because no one could possibly unzip a file to a directory themselves
Because DAZ Studio is designed for futa enthusiasts
Well, somebody already broke DAZ's DRM already, iray is honestly pretty shitty if it wasn't for Nvidia probably paying DAZ to include it, and locking it down just means DAZ will forever remain an amateur application that can't integrate into other work flows and only used to make shitty Patreon porn.
>Nvidia probably paying DAZ to include it
It's very much the other way around. Nvidia's filings make it clear they make a good bit of revenue from licensing Iray across multiple products and vendors and they don't need DAZ at all.
>DAZ will forever remain an amateur application that can't integrate into other work flows and only used to make shitty Patreon porn.
A company that now designs video game models only uses a totally closed ecosystem discouraging the use of any other software, even Bryce WHICH THEY OWN.
Its animation tools are so garbage that people are literally paying people instead to animate fuck loops of video game characters with sharp ass polys in SFM.
Still up for me.
Also, retard here.
Please suggest how I would get Teen Josie 6's shape and textures to G8F.
lots of hair/beard clipping but otherwise I'm happy... plz shit on me
>plz shit on me
you've taken all the fun out of it, you have
the pose is good, the eyes are actually focused on something, etc.
Weapon is the first thing you found. Rambo knife doesn't match the character.
Texture has no wrinkles, age spots, teeth could be yellower and to a much lesser degree so could the sclera.
Old people hair is not only whiter but a fuckload drier (go to church regularly for examples, I do) so make the speculars less silky looking.
I have no interest in critiquing the morph since it's 3DUniverse's and not your own.
G8F and G3F uses the same UV map, so use this tutorial although it seems a bit tedious.
With the shape... well, I think genX2 to G3, and then convert with that DeviantArt tool from G3 to G8? Should work in theory, but again, pretty tedious.
>I have no interest in critiquing the morph since it's 3DUniverse's and not your own.
LOL. There's 20% Toon Generations (set at age 30) in there, the rest is free sharecg stuff (circular eyes, cariactures from a guy called mythcons), "200+ morphs", default morphs, and Morpheus. The morph is as much mine as any Daz3D morph is anybody's. The skin texture is 3DUniverse though but the bump and spec maps are not... the eye textures are mine own as well.
Thanks for the other critique though.
Different anon but why do you have to be so fucking mad? I get you don't want to spoonfeed and all that but calm the fuck down. It's obvious he's just trying to learn and you just see it as an opportunity to sperg out like some vengeful loser.
Can anyone tell me what the legality of Daz model is. I can sculpt heads fairly well however I don't know the first thing about hair/clothes modelling so I'm planning on having my character's heads with Daz hair/clothes and bodies.
Will I be sued if I pirate Daz clothing etc. It will be in Unity can they unpack it.
they can DMCA you for anything, even if you haven't done anything... though they wouldn't, of course, unless you had done something. you can counterfile and go to court or sth if it was traced and you'd lose. I don't know what you mean exactly by trace over though
I would like someone who is a Blender expert to tell me how can i solve the following issue.
I have a model ported from daz who is wearing skin tight clothes with white boots. Problem is inorder to fix skin tight cloth issue i used with shrinkwrap modifier to make it fit the body properly. But that resulted in the White boots getting covered or overlapped by the skintight cloth texture. I want to show the boots over the cloth texture. How can i do this?
I have so far tried simple deform, mesh deform, cast modifiers with no success. How can i fix this issue?
>but you obviously never actually created a single texture map if you think it's that easy
I spent a week on vacation from work to teach myself how to create a complete set of diffuse/specular/bump maps. All this nigger has to do is add a few lines to a bump map and paint a few brown dots on an existing diffuse map.
Be asshurt somewhere else.
> May I steal things how do you do this in countries without so much human feces in your streets
fuck off pajeet snd go back to making finger family flash videos LITTLE JOHNNY TELLING LIES
> please help me make more Christopher Reeve girls
Now that I've gotten being an asshole out of my system, use a looser offset when applying the shrinkwrap modifier. Alternately don't use it at all and retopo manually.
>Those calves are way out of whack
I have enormous calves myself due to flat feet but you're right
>and I like bigger feet than that
Not a foot fetishist but good on you for recognizing people can't fucking stand on pins.
You must be mentally retarded. You merely needed to adjust the shrinkwrap modifier slightly instead of by some order of magnitude. Or you know, you could hide the clothing polys where they're "under" the boots.
/3/ is pretty good at offering help, you just have to go into it knowing that every helpful reply is going to be prefaced with calling you a retard, a faggot, and/or a dumb fucking idiot. You get used to it after a while.
patreon is a way around it right? thats why theres so many shit daz dating sims around, because people cant really claim a lawsuit if you are not charging money for the game, but people are paying you to be a 'game dev'
that was my plan anyway
>people cant really claim a lawsuit if you are not charging money for the game
I look forward to your eventual ass raping due to "I heard it on the internet so it must be true."
DAZ gives you a program and figures for zero (0) rupees and you are too poor to actually buy ANYTHING? Really?
>but in streetshitland no one could possibly pay for software
Start a fucking tradition in your family
> spending more than $10 on anything because you don't watch for >40% off sales
> having nojob yet blaming capitalism for everything not being free
> thinking "it's smart to make content for pay but stupid to pay for content"
I'm not the one doing mental gymnastics here chum.
this is what toon generations look like you freakin' retard.
I actually paid for about 40% of what I have put forward to what I'm making so far from DAZ and it has been my intention to buy up the rest of the stuff I am using as more money comes in.
I didn't word it right, but I am not in the US and the trouble it would take for someone to file a lawsuit against me where I am would be not worth it.
There are many others who use multiple DAZ assets in their games that are earning well over 5k a month in patreon bucks. Do you really beleive those addidas wearing slav squatters paid for everything? Of course not.
It makes it even harder for them to do anything about it if they are not outright selling their entire game as a product. If you were to put it on steam or something, that would be another story.
>It makes it even harder for them to do anything about it if they are not outright selling their entire game as a product.
LOL. One DMCA to Patreon and your shit is taken down. Happens all the time pal. You're a retard for thinking a lawsuit is what you have to worry about. People don't sue, they take down.
>There are many others who use multiple DAZ assets in their games that are earning well over 5k a month in patreon bucks.
the license for using it in unity and for stills/static animations is completely different. there's no way for content creators to check if a still is using pirated or bought items, but many items aren't even legally available for that yet. You will get caught, anon. I don't give a fuck but you'd be a retard to waste all that energy
Anyone know if guhzcoituz Psylocke or Harley outfits have been posted anywhere? Can't find them on the usual sites and he wants like $20 for them.
Psylocke freebie on sharecg is not a bad alternative though
That's actually rather cute, anon.
Bottom line is if you want to use resources as actual 3D assets in your Unity game you need to buy game licenses to do so. If you're putting rendered stills or video in your game then don't be a pirate.
Also, RIGHT NOW on fastgrab
Shilling this because they've never dropped the price this low before according to DAZdeals extension.
According to a guy who used to work at DAZ, fastgrab works like this: they set a goal of X sales for an item (e.g. 70) and when it hits that number the sale for that the sale ends.
various fixes, tried to make her face look a little closer to the real Moana. still ways to go though...
I'd do it for you since I like what you're doing but it's gonna take several hours with my connection speed, but download the APK for Moana Island Life from apkpure, extract it with 7zip, and use https://github.com/Perfare/UnityStudio/releases to extract an FBX of her model if it's actually a Unity game. Should be a better reference.
started working on a complimentary Maui just for fun and to see if I could do it but screwed up the transfer between Hexagon halfway. Giving up.
It is a Unity game and Unity Studio can open it.
JSYK, Unity Studio only exports ASCII FBX, so if DAZ Studio shits the bed on ASCII FBX imports you can use this to convert ASCII to binary:
Doesn't require any other Autodesk component to run.
Yup, finally got it downloaded. There's less polygons that I expected but the face has a pretty good count. Blender's tri to quad yet again fucked up finding the proper loops but it worked well enough for a nice subdivision.
pretty much every mobile game is unity, and there's mobile games of about every recent IP, and current technology puts mobile game models at a level of complexity comparable to subdivision modelling without the subdivision modifier
Deleted it a good while ago. You have to go to load folder and open the data folder, or whichever one has the folder "Resources" inside of it, and one of the files with a seemingly random name in the tree menu will have moana_model inside of it. Could probably use the search up top for moana and find it.
There are four. Two that are subsections of moana_canoe, one that calls itself moana_model_ui, and just plain moana_model that's part of dcff0d8371f7aa24f8dcb773473d584e
I'm guessing it was that one.
The textures didn't come out and I deleted the APK before I realized it but here's a mesh for Elsa from Frozen Free Fall Icy Shot that could be useful for references.
Not that guy, but what do you mean they are legally not available for that?
Do you mean someone who properly buys some clothes for example in daz cannot legally use them in a unity game they are making even if they bought that DAZ licenese thing?
So my question is how come games like this
haven't been DMCA'd?
I haven't played this one but just looking at the front page I can see items that are not published by DAZ, I find it hard to beleive these russians got permission from every third party publisher. It's one of the biggest earners as far as games using daz assets go, how come its still around?
I'm not really arguing against you, I am just trying to understand.
another guy here, just looking at the front page again you can see non daz shop stuff but its still up and has been up for a while, why hasn't it been DMCA'd?
I literally said
>the license for using it in unity and for stills/static animations is completely different
and you proceed to immediately ask "but why are the stills in this game fine...?"
there's no helping some
Any tips on sculpting a Daz head to match a shape like >>577630 in Blender? Or anything really, same tools innit.
When I do it I end up teasing the shape to the general silhouette, rotate the view, and I've made a terrible monster.
isnt it possible to have the assets in unity be deformed enough, or even frozen, that people couldnt rip them in any useful way?
say for example you had a pirated third party bikini, but you merged the mesh with a original daz model that you could use with their license, no one could rip the bikini with any ease let alone use it on any model that it wasnt merged into
I thought about it for a while and I don't know how you'd deform or freeze or merge assets in ways that would make them unrippable but also usable in the game.
I think Daz with clothing and everything might be too much for a game anyway, just bake it all down to a lowerpoly model and cull unseen bits. That might still be a problem but at least it wouldn't be exact pieces of assets from the Daz store.

This is what I was thinking. I more wanted to do this as a test than anything else, I'm gonna try it when I'm back from holiday.
What are some great looking preset environments? Preferably with camera and lighting already setup.
It splits the mesh into a finer grid. Imagine a square, now split it into four squares. That's one level of subdivision. It also smooths the result unless your program is set to not smooth it, not sure if Daz has that option since there's no point in Daz.
Now either it's not happening or the mesh is already dense enough that you just don't notice a difference. I imagine for most Daz figures you'd only want 2, or maybe 3 in really old figures, levels of subdivision. Nothing I'd consider crammed.
>or maybe 3 in really old figures
The exact opposite. Generation 1/2 (Michael 1/2, Victoria 1/2) had 160k polys, Generation 3 was less and Generation 4 was about 60k polys (which is why they can be morph sculpted without subdivision patches).
DAZ Studio is why the Genesis figures get progressively lower in poly density; its memory footprint is mostly consumed by that enterprise-level SQL backend so more than 3 figures or any animation or a quality displacement map, and the application starts to choke.
It's really a piece of shit.
I've been trying to find similar reproductions of cg cartoon movies and all I have is Mavis from the Hotel Transylvania 2 game. Don't know why this lowpoly and I think it was unlit model has edge loops on the nostrils but it's nice that it does. Might be a nice reference for morphs even though it's Sony.
I feel like I'm doing this in a really roundabout left-brain way, kinda dragging the vertices into the general area, using a shrinkwrap modifier on a heavily subdivided Elsa head, and masking it in with vertex weights.
Gotta scale the eyes up more and fix the cranium.
Looks closer but I moved the eyebrow section too far down so the eyebrows are where the eyelids start and there's some fucked up shit happening with the mesh that I didn't notice happening until I rendered. No idea why a small section of the finger, which I never selected, moved over 20 units, or why when I move it back another moves out, or why the eyes are now really fucked up.
I guess it wouldn't be too hard to delete them and reimport the original eyes and scale them to the sockets.
here is another
but its using crap hosters like rapidgator or novafile where you need premium account
Does anyone know another site with decent hosters like openload, uptobox or similar?
>crap hosters like rapidgator or novafile where you need premium account
there's a filehost that grabs RG links at premium without captcha or limits and costs nothing to set an account up with
or you could actually buy shit since you can afford broadband you total fuckup
Having some alright results just teasing the mesh for a Disney Infinity model I retopo'd a little bit.
Tempted to completely retopo it based on Gen 2 or Gen 3 topology and making a morph that way for better accuracy, but that's a big task.
there are no lacrimals on that model
there's an empty space where they could be at either side of the eye where the lashes end
your squealing homo act is amusing to your twitter friendlets but barely rates a (you) here, "sweetie"
Lacrimals are things with actual geometry, not merely a location
