Do other organic shit like fruits, animals and humanoid monsters first. Then start modeling parts of a human, like hands, arms, chest, mouth, nose, eyes etc one after another and start assembling it together until you have made a complete human mesh, but it's really important to do it step by step. Many people who want to make a human, start with a shape which looks like a blob which is smoothed 4 times and wonder why it looks like shit, don't do this.
