Because I refuse to work with others since most people are totally useless idiot "indie devs". Which ultimately means I have to learn everything from modelling, animation, rigging, level design, etc etc... Takes time, man.
And at the end of the day I don't need the income from releasing a game, I just kinda wanna make a game that I personally would really enjoy, since I haven't played any games in years now because they all suck.

I not only have the Oculus dev kit 1 & 2, but I own CV1 and Vive.
I buy practically every game that's released, and do technically play them, but I get bored almost instantly so I don't really PLAY them.
And yeah, having the desire to become a game dev and dedicated much of my free time learning multiple skill sets to make a great game I can enjoy means I have ZERO love for the medium. Nice logic there dumbass.

I use blueprints. Makes workload lighter. It's also a good bonus that I'm very much a visual learner, so it's up my alley.
UE 4.15 now has Blueprint to C++ nativity, meaning it's fully convertible now. You can get the overview of what you want in blueprint, and then if you need specific changes or optimization, go into C++.
