How is this addon even legal?
What is it anon?

>black magic.
it's booleans with edge creases. Produces visibly shitty topology and smoothing, as evidenced by OPs picture.
>>530613
where is the shitty smoothing?

op should have posted a video
looks neat probably buy it myself.

e.g. top of the grip, the part surrounding the trigger

If you look closely you can see areas where it looks bad. Anon is overstating as the overall looks alright, but there are errors if you just pause to look over it.

Why the falseflag "lmao hardops!!!" shit?
There's nothing magical to it, xeon himself has a video showing how to manually how to do all the steps the plugin does, it's just a series of scripts that automates a bunch of steps you'd normally do in blender
In a couple years it'll probably be dynamite, but right now you have to go back and do a lot of fixing and tweaking, and the add-on has quirks that require intimate knowledge to workaround
>spend 10 minutes modelling and 30 cleaning up loose edges produced by booleans
No thanks, I'll stick with dynamesh.
>>530651
> using fucking dynamesh and then complaining about cleaning polygons.
Retard.
>>530651
>dynamesh instead of normal edge modeling
????
>>530607
There's nothing esoteric about it. It's just bloated and violates the idea that one addon should do one thing well and nothing more.
>>530651
Simple cleanup is much faster than dynamesh and complete remesh and readjustment of the measures from a slightly altered geometry.
Got it a while ago, played around with it for a while, seemed neat.
Now I barely use it, only to quickly set up bevel on some edges.
How do I get rid of the feeling that I should be using it more?

I bought it too cause why not, I feel the workflow I have is better than hardops but I guess if I need simple beveled geo quick ill use hard ops.
