Does anyone know how they make the cover image on this?

I don't think so, prolly a particle system.

Now call me crazy, this might be out there, but maybe, JUST MAYBE, you should turn to page 18
See page 18
Model posed, sliced orthogonally with some specific step, then cubes were generated on every vertex falling within the step bounds, plus some 3D-randomisation. Script stuff.
Well, I don't care how they did it, that's what I would do.

why are you allergic to google

May have used Particles. Easy to do in Blender.

are you asking how to make a cover of a magazine or how to recreate the model ?
the first is probably a template in photoshop where items are smart objects where the content can be easily modified .
blender has a modifier that reconstruct a mesh with cubes minecraft style , with a particle system and some wind or a force field you can get that sort of effect
you are a fucking idiot, you can't even ask a question properly...
>>527919
You're a fucking idiot if you cant infer what op is talking about. The only interesting thing about OP's image the the way the particles are arranged to form the model. Why would we ask about anything else?
Secondly, you're a double fucking retard if you think the recunstruction modifier was used to do what is in the OP. Youre model looks nothing like the op.
Think next time.
>>527949
He is a triple retard for implying you must do a printing job like that just in Photoshop, with rasterised text.
>>527919
holy shit how retarded can you be
>>527919
how could you possibly think op wanted to know how to make a photoshop magazine cover on a 3d forum? the questing is worded fine
