Hey /3/,
Anyone have any good 3D or 2D ability that can turn this into a 3D/2D image?
I'm not asking for anything insanely detailed or anything that would take a long time.
>>517868
I'm just looking for something that has more texture and better color than this shitty Wikipedia image.
I don't know who drew this and thought this was okay.
The Atari Panther ended up becoming the Atari Jaguar.
So I assume a similar model texture/color would have been used.

Jaguar model.

Found this, I appreciate you looking. This is totally wrong though, whoever made this had no clue what they were looking at in the design model.
That huge back area, and the colors are totally off I think.
>>517868
If you look at the actual diagram, there's no giant hump at the back that it sits on. I dunno what they were thinking.
>>517905
I love it.
You're a god.
Although I can't donate for this, I'm sorry. Consider the time you spent on it time that you spent to hone your skills and become a better artist.
>>517868
I'll try it anon.
>>517868
i can make it perfect, for money though, 50 bucks will do it
email: [email protected]
>>518068
50 is too much for what I want. Nothing more than a model like this. I emailed you but I assume you weren't interested.
>>518127
Pay or leave
I'll do it for free, anon. It makes nice practice. I'll supply the model itself with a few renders.
>>518131
>Pay or leave
I'm not paying 50 dollars for this, sorry. I just need some basic art, maybe even 2D art, honestly.
>>518133
Hey, awesome to hear man.
This should really help you btw

>back
Why is it upside down?
Who would orient it that way? Where does the cartridge go in at?
>>518135
Don't ask me. I'm still failing to understand what the guy that did this model was thinking spatially
>>517899
>>518135
Hey anon. I'm taking a crack at this, since the museum article got me interested.
It looks like on the back left the panel has standard yellow, red, and white jacks, but what is that in the middle?
>>518137
That's a built in Antennae In/To TV coaxial with a switch on the left for Hi/Lo frequency. The left part of this box. The small circle on the bottom left of the "yellow, red, and white" jacks might be for power, similar to the bottom right of this box.
>>518138
Example of the hi/lo switch on the Jaguar.
>>517868
Are those measurements in mm? That's a pretty small system.
>>518135
>Where does the cartridge go in at
The Cartridges would be manually inserted flat into the front of the Panther like a front-load VHS tape recorder (or for those who have used a NES, a little like that!).
>>518136
>>518147
>That's a pretty small system
I think they're in milimeters, but I can't be sure. You'd have to look at the measurements of the RCA jacks on the back.
Also it says "The unit is much smaller than a stock Jaguar"
Jag was about 10 inches wide, this ones about 6 inches wide I guess.
I decided to give it a spin, haven't done the back yet but already set some materials up to see how it's gonna look like.
I'm open to suggestions about the positioning of the logos and that text, I don't know if they look right.
Also, how much are you willing to spend on this, OP? Would you gift me a 20 dollar game on steam?
>>518195
What's your steam name? I'll gift you something, but I think the perspective on that is a little fucked up. Looks too short.
Everything else looks amazing, though. Way beyond what I was expecting.
>>518198
If you want me to change anything just say it, do you think it's the camera or the model itself?
Also, I can make some more high res shots from any angle too, if you want.
Here's my steam profile:

The shape of this
>>517899
>>517900
looks a lot more accurate than the shape of this
>>518195
>>518201
I don't know much about materials but I gave modelling it a go.
>>518269
I cleaned up the reference image as well. The orange parts are cross-section views.
>>518278
As I said, I don't know much about materials. I only ever use UV mapped textures.
>>518269
Not sure the front or the sides of the unit are correct on this. But I can't tell for sure when looking at the diagram.
Atari Panther
whats next
Atari Bobcat
>>518269
Do you have an email or steam? I'm not OP but I have a question about the mapping.
>>518370
Atari Dumbledore.
>>518440
That's not a cat.
>>518463
She's a fox.
>>518483
Are you saying you'd play a FOX?
>>518486
Are you saying you wouldn't?
>>518488
yes
FOX DIIEEEEEEE
>>518269
You there?
>>518511
Then you are dead to me. Good day sir.
>>518389
You mean the UV mapping of the logos?
>>518696
Changing the mapping
If someone could use Google Sketch Up or CAD to process my design that would be great. I'm extremely bad at CAD. Cheers.
>>519450
What design
Still working.
Finding a lot of interesting stuff on Atari, like the Atari Jaguar 2/Jaguar Duo that was never launched. But at least that one had a prototype.
>>519463
>implying it wouldn't look good on your portfolio
no one really did it for op.
>>519656
>I modeled a plastic box
What
>>519656
>This level of jealousy and butthurt
Still doesn't change the fact dumbfucks came in, a lot like you, and were total smartasses about it and got fucking wrecked.
>>519690
>being so dumb you think people model plastic boxes for their portfolios on random internet sites like 4chan
You're the one acting fucking 12, dude.
>l-lol they just did it for their portfolios!
Yeah, and how isn't that also helping OP you fucking idiot?
>>519689
never said I was defending that you legitimate retard.
>>519692
You're probably one of the retards who thinks that drawing a shitty sketch is hilarious, or saying
>>518131
>Pay or leave
Is great, too, even though you can't model shit and have no ability whatsoever to do modeling yourself.
I hate people who come into threads with no intention of actually participating or helping and just shitpost.
>>519694
>going to the use of "kiddo," "kid," or "child"
Peace out, bud.
>>519695
good buckaroo, come back when you go outside and learn how the real world works.
>>519696
Haha. High five?
>>519698
sure little guy
What about the Atari Ocelot lol
