How do things like this even happen?
Someone spent time learning how to model horribly, rig horribly, animate horribly, and render horribly.
I know some of these are ironic, but there are plenty that are actually being serious.
What I can't wrap my head around is, how can they get that far, without looking at anything critically? How do they manage to get something to just barely work, every step of the way?
There has to be a special kind of talent behind these things.

Sometimes people take lessons on 3ds max in school as part of a game design or architecture program. There, they learn all the basics, but just one or two semesters isn't really enough time to get good. Just enough time to pick up enough to produce something like OP video.
