I'm aware, but since fanfiction is often about wish fulfillment, I'm surprised at the lack of stories where FtM bottom surgery is able to do a lot more than it does IRL or where there's magic to take care of it.

I've definitely seen other trans men criticize how a lot of the porn on Tumblr portrays sex because so much of it involves cunnilingus or vaginal penetration which causes problems for their dysphoria, and while some people listen, others get defensive and lash out hard. Likewise most trans woman porn is basically just futa under a different name despite, as you said, a lot of trans women choosing to go for bottom surgery. Though I haven't seen any complaints from trans women about it yet.

As for your second point unfortunately yeah there are some real shitty people like that out there. A trans woman I follow blogged about how excited she was about finally getting an appointment for bottom surgery, and it might've been the "feeling trapped in the wrong body" phrasing which I know is unpopular on some parts of Tumblr, but that doesn't justify people who don't personally know her coming in and ruining her happy moment by telling her she's a bad trans person who let cisheteronormative values tell her what to do instead of being a proud trans woman and learning to love and accept her body as it is. Just like it wouldn't have been right for her to tell someone else they're not really trans because they didn't want to get bottom surgery. Could be the work of trolls but since some of the usernames were attached to normal-looking blogs it feels like way too much work for that.
