Wearing her uniform in public becomes a death wish, and the corrupt mayor's business friends calling in favours at the mafia's door is only making things worse. Can the newbie policewoman return order to the town, do justice to the rampant corruption and capture the heart of the remorseful rebel living on her sofa?

At the turn of the 20th century, a French lady tours all over France's colonial empire, teaching young indigenous girls on the sexual superiority of the white woman.

The war between the men of Drakengard and the elves of Meletis was raging. Casualties were heavy on both sides, and both the King of Drakengard and the elder council of Meletis desire peace. Both are worn out from this tiresome war.
The princess of Drakengard is sent on a diplomatic mission to Meletis, to negotiate a peace deal - and eventually it is agreed that the two kingdoms would make close ties as the Princess would be married off to the Elder Druid.

Four women travel around the country solving silly mysteries. It's basically Scooby Doo with an entire female cast and instead of a dog they have a talking cat. And the hippie stoner chick is in love with the smart chick.

The tournament is just part of all the messed up things going on in the island, some of the fighters are also prostitutes or junkies looking for a quick buck killing newcommers, some are sex slaves forced to fight and some have been kidnapped in their childhood and raised to fight in this tournament, the few are millionaries or fighters who are in for the thrill.

The first 2 rounds are bare hand combat, in the third round fighters are allowed to use their melee weapon of choice, the victor can spare her opponent if she desires (and if the opponent didnt die of her wounds), what she does in private is up to her, that includes keep her opponet as a sex toy or kill her.

There is also 3vs 3 fights and an event in which two teams must keep a VIP safe from the opposing team.

The protag herself is one of those who were kidnapped and raised to fight, since she was too young when she was taken away from her parents she has no memories of the outside world, during one of her fights she develops romantic feelings for her opponent and keeps her as her sex toy, from her the protag learns about what's going on so she decides to kill the hostess of the tournament, she knows she cant stop this on her own but will at least get some payback.

As she works her way to the top she's involved in team batles where the VIP joins the duo in their quest, threesome ensues.

The trio then faces the hostess and her two loyal henchwomen and kill them, just for the VIP to kill the protag's love interest and reveal that she was the true hostess all along and planned this to get the protag pissed enough to be a worthy challenge, protag dies but fatally injuries the hostess who is taken to the emergency room where she's finished off by her second in command who takes control of her empire.

A young, optimistic and trusting university student meets a despondent, cynical girl on the streets and talks her out of killing herself by promising her 'a new sight every day'. She keeps going back to the same overpass every day, wracking her brains desperately for something to do to keep her new friend alive for one more day, and the story follows the two of them as they explore the city they both grew up in for a second time. Once, in a gay bar they snuck into for the night's adventure, the dropout makes as if to kiss the student, but pulls away at the last second.

Suddenly, the student has to navigate a minefield every time she talks with her friend, to avoid turning her away or give the wrong impression. Their adventures, which were becoming more like dates, drift back into the realm of two awkward people forcing themselves to be near each other, until one day her friend doesn't turn up and the student has to put every sliver of information to use and tracks down her friend.

It turns out that she was actually the only daughter of a rich CEO widow who doted on her, disillusioning her. She barges in and finds her friend on the bathroom floor, having just swallowed practically every pill she could find and desperately calls for an ambulance, refusing to leave her friend's side no matter what. She sits at the bedside, wishing for her friend to make it, and starts babbling out all of her fears, starting with the repression of her crush on her friend for fear it would taint the relationship. When she wakes up, she finds she's been moved to the corridor, and her exam started an hour ago on the other side of town.

Her friend awakes, hugs her, and together they ask for a reexamination (which goes through because of her friend's background). As the credits roll, they walk back through town, seeing all of their previous meeting places, and the last image is of the student taking the hand of her friend. "You know, I always..." And cut to black.

I didn't even mention harem anime. When I said that most people prefer it without males at all was an overall uninformed assumption, and in fact I agree with everything else you said.

I had an idea like this a while ago and got half way through a first draft before giving up.

It was going to be about Freya "The Dragon" who was kidnapped as a child when the cargo spaceship she lived on was attacked and looted by pirates. She was sold as a slave girl to one of The Five (the five heads of the outlaw space station). Because gang warfare is prohibited on the station, The Five settle their disputes by holding gladiator fights between Champions. Freya becomes her mistress's Champion and has her body slowly replaced with cybernetics as bits of her are cut off during fights.

Her mistress, Bekka Frey, keeps Freya inline with a kill switch she can trigger if Freya gets out of line. She regularly forces Freya to have BDSM style sex with her often. One day, as a reward for another successful fight, Bekka Frey gives Freya a slave girl of her own to with as she pleases. At first Freya is violent with her slave but slowly starts to care for her until she falls in love with the young girl and begins to reveal her emotions for the first time in her life.

That's as far as I got before scrapping it. I was going to have the two escape and be chased across the system by Frey's pirates.

They look just like normal people, except - well, how do I describe it? There are patches of 'darkness' that scroll over the black-haired's physical body and patches of 'whiteness' that do the same for the white-haired one, just like clouds move across a clear sky. The dark one, when fighting, hooks her hands into claws and leaps and bounds around like Anti-Form if you've played Kingdom Hearts, while the light one reaches through her skin and pulls a bloodstained sabre out, slashing and hacking. The main characters are female vampires who spend the centuries adventuring, fighting evil, and of course burning up the sheets in-between. One is blonde with short hair, slim and athletic, a master swordswoman who fancies herself as a dashing swashbuckler, think La Maupin. Her lover is a busty redhead who claims to be from a ninja clan, neither is sure if this is true though. She tends to be more playful and openly friendly than her partner.Her demeanor rarely falters, even when she's brutally killing someone though she doesn't see herself as sadistic she kills cleanly, not wishing her victim to suffer, and takes pride in her skill to do so. Her weapon of choice is a katana, she placed decorative charms on the sheath. She has a weakness for anything cute, animals, people, toys and has a rather large collection of stuffed toys. The main story is set in Europe during WWII and our Heroines are working as agents of the OSS fighting the Germans in occupied Europe. The plot is like Baccano meets Dirty Pair

In modern day, there's a family that's descended from the original Persephone. As part of an ancient agreement, every year the family's oldest child (the "Persephone") goes to spend the winter in the realm of Hades with the current ruler and descendant of the god Hades.
At the time of the story both descendants are girls. Time runs differently for inhabitants of the underworld so the current ruler is in the form of a young girl (the "Hades") with many more years of experience. Additionally, the underworld is experiencing a serious economic downturn because it no longer gets human souls passing through it as belief in gods and religions have changed over the centuries. The ruler is struggling to keep the realm and its inhabitants (who consist of "demons" and such, as well as souls who choose not to move on or reincarnate but are employed by the underworld) afloat and well.
It's not uncommon for a Persephone and Hades to fall in love, but it doesn't usually end well as Hades lives longer and Persephone has to go back and forth between worlds. However the two girls who are current descendants have complicated feelings for each other that they haven't yet voiced.
And here's where I hit snags as I try to figure out if previous descendants would have just had children together, or whether a Persephone might have married in both worlds. There's plenty of potential plotholes. I don't think it's a strong enough concept to stand alone but I might work with it one day.

In a realm where dialects, languages, and language families are personified as women, a perpetual war rages on as it had for thousands of years.

The major languages of the world, depicted as fully-developed ladies, vie for supremacy in a population of 7 billion humans. Small indigenous languages, represented as lolis, are bullied or even killed. Currently, Indo-European, a busty, blonde warrior queen, is the reigning power, and a legion of henchmen/concubines (English, Spanish, Russian, Hindi, etc.) caters to her every whim.

Somewhere in the Far East, Japanese, personified as a seemingly average twentysomething, is conducting archaeological research in an abandoned Oomoto temple. She accidentally awakens a loli android buried deep within the temple's walls. The loli turns out to have been created by Professor Zamenhof as the “ultimate weapon system”, specifically designed to defeat Indo-European and end her tyrannical reign.

Though her power level is far too low to serve this purpose, Esperanto nevertheless trains with Japanese for the impending day of judgment. In the meantime, she helps other small languages like Basque fight back against big-language bullies. There are also some SoL segments, showing the daily lives of languages when they're not busy beating each other up.

The yuri in this is mainly subtext, but canon relationships (Sprachbünde) do exist, especially in the ancient love story between Sumerian and Akkadian. There are even magical lesbian offspring, like the creole languages produced by French's many romantic escapades.

A SoL in an elite Catholic boarding school for rich girls.

Except it takes place during the Thirty Years' War and the school is actually a place to train the girls as cuirassiers (bulletproof pistol-armed knights).

In South America, a girl was chosen from before her birth to be a sacrifice to the gods, as per tradition. Though she at first wishes for a normal life, she begins to accept her role as the chosen of the tribe - once she reaches the age of adulthood, she marches off to the frozen place of sacrifice on her own and waits for death.

A poorly-funded expeditionary team of archaeologists (led by a local tour guide and undergrad historian) comes across her frozen body and defrosts her carefully. Though she has trouble communicating at first, she learns the language the team uses very fast and agrees to lead the team to her home village. The tour guide is especially taken with her, fascinated by someone as in-touch with her native roots as the sacrifice.

However, she actually intends to leave the expedition lost in the mountains after sabotaging their locators and does so, not wanting them to come back with her. She makes it back to her village and realises that she was 'asleep' for several centuries in the snow, and not only can she not converse with the descendants of her tribe, but also that an unscrupulous businesswoman has used the facade of divine command to trick the villagers into mining precious metals for her company.

The sacrifice-girl returns to the team and apologises for her crimes - despite a strong sense of mistrust, in the end the tour guide forgivs her and convinces the team to help her out with her little problem.

The rest of the story is basically and Indy Jones movie; they go to the evil corporation's base of operations, defeat the businesswoman, free the village, and the sacrifice and the guide share a kiss at the end of the story.

In a world where everyone has a doppelgänger, a girl wakes up to find her other self gone from the world without any trace - even the memories of her friends have been wiped. In the near future, humanity has been taken over by dark forces and now scrabbles by under a harsh rule, apart from a privileged few who work for the dark forces. And all this because the magical girl who was supposed to save humanity failed to use her final attack. She was left alive to watch humanity fall, and years after the battle, the magical girl is now a pariah, as most people know her as the one who failed them in their hour of need. One day a member of the resistance that has sprung up comes looking for the magical girl, revealing there may still be a way to change humanity's fate. They set out together, facing your typical post-apocalyptic dangers, as both the dark forces and groups of humans try to stop them.
Later it's revealed that humanity was simply caught in a game between two cosmic entities, one of which chose the magical girl as its champion. Both entities arbitrarily chose between good and evil through the equivalent of a coin toss.
Would have a happy ending with the magical girl and the woman from the resistance travelling together after the final battle, in a world where humanity is left to pick up the pieces.

Ok. This was originally supposed to be one arc of otherwise het manga, but I suppose there is no problem in extracting it and pretending it could be anime.

Story takes place in world where magic exists and technology (combined with magic use) is about on level of steampunk worlds. In that world there is small country officially governed by old aristocratic family with strong conservative beliefs. But in recent years there was also family of influential industrialists and bankers, that came to build strong reputation. Country is constantly at verge of civil war, as opposing sides have different opinion on how to govern it. Or at least different at first glance. It will later become clear that they both just want what's best for country.

Story is about two heiresses of said countries. They're both going to international high school of magic (as aristocrats and kids from rich families often study magic in this world). Now, it's important to note, that in this world women are still looked upon as somewhat inferior and main reason most girls are sent to this prestigious high school, is to find suitable husband. So not only are our main heroins going against hatred of their families but also against firmly established social norms.

Now something about them in general. Both girls are very serious and diligent students as they are heir to their respective families. Or at least that's appearance they have to keep. In fact they're both tired of their families constant disputes and of their never-ending list of responsibilities. At start, they didn't think much about each other, they were just other members of opposing faction. They're both class representatives of their respective classes, so they met of few occasions. Of course they had to almost immediately disagree, just to keep their appearance of heiress of prominent family.

In order to permanently move into a new forest, elves send one of their kin to enact a soul-transplanting spell on their behalf, teleporting the entire colony to its new home. So they send the same elf that saved the Hussar to commence the spell in the estate, with the hussar escorting her along the way. The Hussar and the Elf traverse the long, winding route through the forest towards the estate, battling wild beasts, bandits, enemy patrols, and the occasional dragon along the way.

in an all girl high school there's a new transfer student, her name is,,, errr... Touko. Now on her first day she meets a girl called Haruna who plays guitar and jams with her friends. Touko is a good singer herself and starts taking guitar lessons from Haruna, she gets really good and Haruna introduces her to the rest of the band, the bassist is extremely cute but Touko gets a major crush on the drummer while remaining oblivious to Haruna's feelings for her. Haruna herself is clueless about the bassists feelings for her whom it just so happens the drummer is mad crushing on. A young medical student is driving back to her home town after doing some shopping in the city, she sees someone lying on the side of the road and pulls over to see if she can help. She kneels down next to the person, a pretty girl of around her own age, and she's knocked unconscious by a second person. It was a trap set by human traffickers to kidnap people.

She wakes up in a derelict cell, locked from the outside. She calls out and after a while a small sliding window-thing in the cell door opens, and a man informs her that she is to be sold off as a slave in another country. The girl breaks down in tears, and hears faint conversation outside the cell, and the sliding window thing opens again momentarily, before the girl passes out again.

Okay yeah to make this simpler I'm just going to give the girl a random name. Alice will do.

Alice is woken by a loud banging on her cell door, and her hopes of this all being a bad dream are crushed. The door is flung open, and the girl who had been pretending to be unconscious on the roadside strides in, and gives Alice a tray of unappetizing food, then leaves. This continues for several days, with Alice occasionally hearing conversation from outside the cell, as well as what sounds like other prisoners calling for help.

About four days after being captured, as the girl is bringing Alice her food, the girl is trying to not look at Alice (as usual), but this time accidentally makes eye contact, her eyes are a beautiful soft green color, similar to Alice's own eyes, and both girls are entranced for several moments. Alice tries to talk to her, but the girl blushes in anger at herself and leaves the cell in a hurry, slamming the door.

Now it's the day Alice is scheduled to be shipped off to [insert country here], and two of the traffickers come into her cell to tie her up, one of them is the girl. The other is a male that Alice hasn't seen (1/3)

She hears a sniff from the other girl, and looks up to see her facing away, one hand covering her mouth. Basically the girl, who I guess I'll call Yunie, helps Alice escape because she's sick of helping the traffickers (she was kidnapped by them when she was younger and forced to help capture others). She didn't help someone earlier because she was really weak, she'd been working out in her quarters for years to become strong.

The story follows Yunie and Alice as they flee through the woods/city/whatever evading search parties etc, and trying to find a way to get back to Alice's family (Yunie can't remember anything about her family). Also it turns out some sort of government or company is involved and they also try to hunt down the girls. They go through several towns being chased by whoever, and run into a really friendly girl named Mani, who lets them stay with her, and everything is fine for a while. Alice has horrific nightmares, and Yunie, who is sleeping in the same room, hugs her to calm her down, and they fall asleep embracing. After a week or two of this, the company finds them, and Mani dies while helping the girls escape.

They eventually find their way back to Alice's home, only to find out it's been burned down, and the rest of her family is dead. Alice collapses to her knees in disbelief and despair, and Yunie consoles her, saying something like neither of them have families anymore, but they still have each other. Alice hugs her and cries on her shoulder, then after a while looks up and kisses Yunie, which surprises her as she didn't think she liked girls, but she admits she liked it and (2/3)

Set in Europe before the 30 years war, a cool and handsome female knight from catholic Austria falls in love with a beautiful and quiet courtier from the majority protestant Bohemia after they become friends during the knight's service of the previous Bohemian king. The knight is a strong and naturally talented fighter, but yet she never truly had anything worth fighting for. The courtier is a smart and graceful girl who isn't satisfied with the life of subservient obedience she was born into. She is arranged to marry the duke of Saxony, a detestable man she hates, but she doesn't have the power to do anything about it.

A reclusive girl, said to have enigmatic powers, gets called by a local mayor to deal with her younger brother, who claims that he's going to become an [evil deity] using a powerful super weapon. On the way to see why the hell these idiots interrupted her NEET life (she does run around a mountain to get exercise though), she winds up waking up a dullahan, who chases her with a single-minded, nightmarish determination.

It turns out the dullahan is one of many demons (and fairies) now wreaking havoc over the countryside, thanks to her brother's antics. And he had help from several important people in town as well, many of them bitter over the state of the town due to politics. Main girl learns that most demons/fairies are horrors that possess and mutate their hosts. The dullahan was in fact, a childhood friend of hers who she thought died, but went through the process instead. And the reason she's chasing her? MC and her family line can tame demons and the transformed, and she had accepted a deal by MC's brother to evade death and pull her free. Once they kiss and make up, the two of them have to go deal with MC's crazy family and all of the fallout of intelligent demons and fairies finding their town.

In this case, I don't think being stereotypical is a bad thing. Sure, but there's a difference between that and writing a storyline every crime author knows by heart.

The concept for the story you just wrote is well thought though, I haven't seen much movies or books focusing on an "open-minded" bitch understanding life.

A girl has known her new friend all fall and winter and never thought much of her physically, but come spring, she has stopped wearing her figure concealing heavy clothes and is surprisingly (to her) hot. The girl has to deal with her new found attraction to her friend.

Along the same lines:
Fantasy setting, a family rescues a teenage-looking elf who's escaped the destruction of her woodland village. The protagonist is just a little girl when it happens, but eventually her age equals that of the elf's apparent age, even though the elf still treats her as her little sister. As she slowly realizes she wants more out of their relationship, she'll have to find ways to convince the elf that she's grown up.

On a darker note: Alternate plot line could be that the girl discovers her father's been having sex with the elf in secret, and n despair announces her decision to leave the village for the outside world at the dinner table. To her surprise the elf speaks up saying she'll accompany her to keep her safe. The father's angry refusal is overridden by the mother, who's begun to suspect his infidelity.

...Who promptly mistakes her as a new super villain. Before she can make her case, she's rescued by a roguish punk thief lady who tends to rob from criminals. Rogue thief likes her style, and the two end up training together, with the young heroine thinking she can reform the thief at first to prove she's not a real bad girl but begins to really care for the thief, while the rogue just likes her company.

Elevator Pitch: If Batgirl was trained by and fell for Catwoman while being chased by Batwoman.

The main character would not be a villain, but that first meeting just sours the champion's impression of her - In Champion's opinion she's at best a liability getting into danger, and at worst as bad as the rogue who is doing this for adventure and money, rather than doing the right thing. And she might have to do a little of that, or considered some kind of henchlady for the Rogue in the Super Social Circles.

She also wouldn't leave, because while heroine's dream is about to be dashed and in her mind, she can kiss any chance of working as the Champion's sidekick right now, but she's not going to give up. The Champion doesn't call it quits and neither does she. Since the Rogue offers to show her the ropes, the heroine decides to nudge her towards doing the right thing. If she can reform the rogue, maybe after, the heroine could be the Champion's partner!

And then the heroine gets attached... and any redemption she has in mind for the Rogue is less and less about her future career and more about the rogue's well being.

When a couple asks the gods for a child in desperation, they wake up the next morning to find a baby girl for them to raise on the porch. However, the supernatural nature of the girl means she becomes increasingly sickly and frail as she ages, but she makes it to her eighteenth birthday despite the odds - only to be attacked by a roving demon. Acting purely on instinct, the young woman rips the demon's arm off in a single grab, then eats it in moments.

Absorbing the unnatural energy, she becomes the very picture of health, and shreds the demon bare-handed, then sets out to hunt down other demons to avoid falling to the sickness again, assuming the name "Demon Eater". In the process, she meets the three legendary monster hunters - Dragon Wingclipper (serious and uptight soldier woman who owns two serrated knives); Kraken Heartpiercer (jokey and flirty deepsea huntress who dual-wields harpoons); and Kajiu Gutter (mute and serious swordsgirl who wields a sword that's more like a battlecruiser with a hilt) - and solicits them for aid in her quest to the Underworld, where the other half of humanity lives, imprisoned long ago by the Hound of Days Cerberus and its handler Ms Perfect 139.

They represent the Four Loves - Kura is Storge, familial/platonic love; Dee is Phileo, close romantic nonsexual love; Kai is Agape, divine and unconditional love; and Dura is Eros and wants to fuck Dee really badly.

So, is it animu enough yet?

Any one remember a post about a year ago (i think) where the OP wanted to create an anime where it looks like haremshit with typical haremshit cliches (one instance involves 2 girls fighting over the MC) but somewhere in the middle it does a 180 flip..

The twist was everything that happened up to that point was a delusion made up by the MC (who turns out to be a lonesome loser?) All of the events in the delusion were twisted in his head to make him look like the MC of a haremshit and the second half shows what actually happened.

I remember the 2 girls earlier were actually a lesbian couple but the MC deluded himself into thinking otherwise.

Anyway, sounds like a fun idea, but it would probably work better as an OVA or a film than a whole series.

Girl A is religious.
Not in the sense that she believes in any gods or scriptures, but in that she has faith in her own perception of the world - her phanosphere.

To her childhood self, it seemed that everyone else was hallucinating, or lying, or out to get her - they told her the things she sensed were wrong. "That's not purple. What do you mean there's a spike there? What's a 'lelinni'?"

However, as time moved forward and she grew older, she became more concerned with others. Her appearance, romance, how others thought of her, and - most of all - she lost confidence in her phanosphere.

While wandering around her imaginary dreamland one day, a slightly older girl nearly passes her by, but stops her to have a chat. For some reason, to Girl A, this Girl B doesn't warp or change intermittently. Her image, her touch, her smell, her voice, all these things are stable and very real.

Girl B asks Girl A if she sees things. Girl A is hesitant to admit so, but Girl B coaxes it out of her by saying that she knows what Girl A's seeing is real. That everyone who's real lives on their own Plane, that these Planes sometimes Intersect, and that she is one of the few real people who has no Plane. These Plane-less real-people are called Realizers, and those who have their own Planes are called Imaginers. They're paired up for obvious reasons, and Girl B demonstrates - she asks Girl A what she sees directly behind Girl B.

"A train. Well, it's not like you know what that train looks like, I mean - I see things differently, but - it's a little spiky, and there are some furry things growing on it-"

Girl B interrupts Girl A with a kiss, and says, "I see it. And now, that part of your Plane is definitely, truly 'real.' It's in everyone else's as well. Go ahead and ask about it to someone after school tomorrow."

Girl A is hesitant to believe the whole thing at first, considering how crazy Girl B seemed, but the sensation of kissing her was the realest thing she'd ever felt. So she goes ahead and asks someone about the train.

Girl A finds that same spot after school in a rush, and Girl B is sitting right where they were the other day.

Afterwards, of course, we have territorial disputes regarding Plane Intersections, Girl A wondering if Girl B's just a hallucination she made from loneliness, and battles between Imaginer/Realizer pairs' armies. As in, like, interdimensional fights. Whoo.

Backgrounds of the three Legendary Hunters:

Dragon Wingclipper used to be a police officer on a set of floating city-states much like Columbia from B:I. When the Demon of Skies (a skyscraper-sized dragon) attacked, she was at the forefront of the evacuation and divert-attention efforts, eventually resorting to breaking the engines that keep it suspended in the air to draw The Demon of Skies away from the other floating cities.

Driven mad by rage and despair, she pounced on its back as it dove after the burning city ruins and clung to its back for fifty minutes, carefully watching and learning how its muscles worked (as opposed to the other people who leapt onto it, who were just tossed away). This let her figure out where to cut to clip its wings, sending it into a spiralling fall and making it swallow its own flame. Far below, a giant burning drake crashed into the ground, from which rose a single figure - holding two short swords made jagged and saw-toothed by the hardness of the scales they had sliced apart.

And thus was Dragon born.

Kraken was lieutenant of a fishing trawler that kept going out despite the Demon of Seas - a true leviathan - terrorising the coastline for miles around, keeping the city fed. One day, they went out and weren't back by nightfall, the citizens assuming the worst. In a way, their fears were confirmed the next morning, flotsam and jetsam identified as from their ship washing up.

The next day, however, brought a terrifying and wonderful sight; a corpse nearly the size of the city blockading the shallows in the harbour, the body of the Demon of Seas. When it was being cut up, the cause of death was identified as manifold slashes and holes in the main and secondary hearts, linked by a tunnel cut into the flesh of the monster, which led from the stomach chamber to the hearts and then to the skin, where an exit hole had been cut.

None knew what had truly happened, despite it being enough to make a guess, as none on the ship would have had the power to do such a thing, and indeed none who were alive on the day it was discovered learned the truth. The citizens knew it was the Demon of Seas, however, by the way their fishing ships began coming back from trips, and they rejoiced at having been saved from this horrible monster.

A continent over, one week later, a strangely-dressed woman made landfall, swimming on a raft made of bloated corpses of kraken younglings, lashed together with their own tentacles. Though she never told anyone how she avoided starvation, bite marks were found on the uppermost body.

And thus was Kraken born.

The pirate 'nation' of Branded Skull Isle had three great ships to its name; the 'Maria', the 'Pinta', and the 'Nina' (named for the three pirate queens who founded the nation as a refuge for those unwelcome by normal states - though, predictably, it became just another pit of iniquity a handful of years after the last of them died).

The Nina limped into dock one day, disgorging a cargo of slaves and pirates who had been forced to work together to survive a storm of great force. The slaves were offered statesmanship and a place among the crews of smaller ships (The Nina had to be scuttled due to the immense damage) as a symbol of gratitude, where they would be treated as free men and women.

The only one who refused the offer was a young girl who had eyes that were colder than even the polar seas, not saying a single word about her reason (or at all, even). The mix of crewmen and slaves continued meeting after being split up, however, with guilt in their eyes. Eventually, the female magistrate (having given up on justice, and just focusing on keeping the worst rioters under control) discovers the horrible truth - they had eaten the bodies of those slain by the storm, going so far as to eat the weakest alive when the 'supply' ran out.

She attempts to bring this fact to the courts, but they wave it away as 'necessity', disheartening her and making the magistrate consider suicide. She is stopped by the young girl with cold eyes, who reveals that she was tore her own tongue out by the crew and slaves, who wanted a guarantee she would not speak the truth but were too weak to be sure of overpowering her.

Not believing the crew were afraid of such a little girl, the magistrate investigates further and learns of what happened on the Nina's voyage - while at port, they witnessed a ritual on the island they were docked go horribly wrong, awakening a titanic monster called the Demon of Wastelands who is basically Godzilla that crushed the town into pieces.

The Nina left port just in time, and the giant monster was about to set out to sea after it when its clutched at its stomach, and pitched forwards. The impact and force of water displaced caused a titanic disturbance of sky and sea, causing the storm - but not before a young girl climbed aboard, carrying a jagged sword half as tall again as she was that was covered in gore from making the cut that disembowelled the monster in a single stroke.

The magistrate takes the young girl under her wing, and eventually works her way to the top of the pile, being named the Pirate Queen of Branded Skull and resolving to restore the original dream of the Three Queens. As her first act, she gifts a ship to the young girl and tells the assembled populace the truth of the Nina's last voyage. At first, they laugh, but one by one the surviving members of the last voyage stand up and confirm her story.

As a mark of respect, the Nina's survivors take up a vow of penance and cut their own tongues out, pledging themselves into the service of the girl - as she cannot speak her name, she must be given a new one. The Pirate Queen gives her a new one, to reflect her deeds, and promises her that she will forever be welcome at Branded Skull Isle.

And thus was Kaiju born.

tl;dr: Witch kidnaps a princess and a knight is on the way to save her. Though every characters have hidden depths.

The Knight: A legitimate but landless one, thus she looked for land elsewhere. She joined mercenaries but committed some serious war crimes, which she now tries to atone by doing chivalrous things.
The Witch: Used to be very idealistic. Daughter of burghers, she joined academia but higher ups gave her a raw deal. Unfortunately for them she was quite the hard worker and talent and now she is very pissed and very dangerous.
The Princess: Her father put her basically for sale to the highest bidder for politcal reasons and her disappearance caused quite the political ruckus within the country but also with the princes from outside. She is secretly a tomboy though and used to sneak out of the castle where she met the daughter of the gardener, who...
is now leader of a Revolutionary squad, using the current unrest to overthrow the monarchy. Recent technological development produced magic sticks, casting fire and explosions even without rigorous training, shifting the tide of power slightly to the burghers and serfs.

Genre is action-adventure. It should have a comedic note, with occasional seriousness mentioned above.
Witch was never in the kidnapping business and Knight was never in the rescue business, ending up in an ineptness competition (they get better, which prolongs the series)

Student is studying applied transmutation for practical and cosmetic purposes; Dancer volunteers regularly as a test subject for thrills. Student's fingers trace spell patterns on Dancer's body to generate interesting physical effects: a massage of her face colors it like makeup, a complicated glyph onto her back gives her wings as part of a stage costume, a lengthy feel of her legs molds them into a mermaid's tail for extra fun in the bath.

I don't know if it's been done, guys, but I've always had this idea for a Touhou fanfic or manga.
Remember how Koishi has some vaguely defined power over the unconscious mind? The buddhists supposedly have taken an interest in her, since she got those abilities by closing her mind, reaching a state which one could consider similar to enlightenment. So Koishi becomes acquainted to Hijiri and takes a liking to the temple, spending more and more time in there and perhaps even moving in. Not soon after, the buddhist leader starts being tormented by visions and disturbing dreams of sexual nature, always led by the image of Koishi.

This eventually bottles up too much sexual tension for poor Hijiri, whose mind is rather unaccustomed to these kind of thoughts, and they end up fucking till' morning.

A schoolgirl, Suki, tries to google her name to check her net footprint. She finds some names, but they're other people's. She goes on to narrow the search, using her full name, trying to look up her house and birth certificate, etc. But she can't find anything that's about her. She goes on to try to get her name in the newspaper, dragging in dropouts from the photography club. Suki spends all her time with her new friend, Koto. Now armed with a new Adventure Buddy, Suki tries to create a wave of attention. Appearing in parades, starting press conferences, etc. Koto is there to clean her off and patch her up. Things start getting out of control. Karate streetfighting, topless mudwrestling, BMX stunt biking, etc. All of a sudden all that stuff that Suki did is trying to come back and have her do more, arrange more, etc. How can Koto rescue her friend?

When a woman is informed that her late husband's brother has died, she goes on a journey to find out that he owned a nudist colony. She has to stay there for a few days to take over the managerial duties. She has to handle mudwrestling refereeing, beauty pagents, sunbathing, and whatever it is that nudest colonys do. When she returns to work she recognises one of the women in another department as one of the nudists.
The two start being casually naked at home, but when MC starts wanting to be naked at work with the other woman, things start being strange.

When a student finds out that Mr Oni's class is entierly made from possessed students, his efforts at freeing them backfire a little. Each one is a different demon, angel, spirit, or freaky magical kerwhatsit and they all team up to try to boot him out, keep the secret, or just kill him to cover it up. When he does get killed one of the angels takes pity on him and he possessess a girl's body. Now the two have to deal with MC's origonal mission and it's fallout, forcefull romantic attempts from the (female) human side of one of the other classmates (and some of the other more tentacle-monsters-and-alien-possessed students), bring down the monster who killed MC, and generally keep the whole problem from becoming an even bigger disaster.

When a careless woman defaults on a bill, she finds that she's being followed by the store's owner. Followed, measured, audited, catolouged, etc. Fearing that she's going to be killed or sold to slavers or something, Careless finally pays the bill. But by then it's too late and Owner has practacly moved in, owns Careless's lands and goods and has the paperwork to back it up. Careless is going to need more money fast! But what can she do to pay off Owner? Owner is sleeping in her apartment, sometimes her bed. Careless has to undertake a series of adventures, jobs, and stuff to try to gather what she needs to disqualify Owner's land claims. Careless is swept up in a madcap adventure of theft, break-ins at municipal record storage, mudwrestling at bars, pawn shop backroom deals, fish hiests, and various other crazy things. But is waking up every morning in the forgiving arms of Owner enough to soften Careless's heart?

After a storm forces them to stay locked in their hotel room, they agree to use their pay and go into business together, hunting anomalies and going on other lesbian adventures.

Now for the new content

Amaryllis is a prostitute at the girls-only brothel Lily Garden (which actually exists and had a thread dedicated to it on /u/). She's been there for a couple years now, and the small requests the typical customer brings in are just a part of day-to-day life - you know, smooching vaginal entries and all that. If you asked her why she decided to be a prostitute and at this place, she'd respond, "Huh? It's not like I was forced here by yakuza or anything. I just figured, this seems like fun. Playing with girl-friends all day for a living!"

Then she receives a request call from a high-school senior. In the morning. Normally, that girl would have just been turned away, but the sum of money offered was over a million yen. Amaryllis begins to wonder what sort of creepy kinky shit the girl's into.

It turns out she just wants to get lunch and talk at the nearby park. For seven hours. About how people are always pressuring her to get into relationships, about the constant omiai her parents are forcing on her, and how she's required to carry on the family legacy. She snapped and took a train far away that dawn before happening on Lily Garden. Amaryllis was picked because she had a strange name.

"What's your name, then?" asks Amaryllis.

"Yurihime Riria," her client responds, shoving her face into her hands.

Eventually they decide to go to a university with dorms together. Amaryllis became a freeter after high-school like an idiot, so she still hadn't experienced uni, and the dorm living arrangements would get Riria away from her asshole familial legacy for a while.

College yuri blooms! A former girls-only prostitute and the heir of an unknown but REALLY extravagant inheritance share a dorm at U University!

This will sound kinda cliched, but oh well.

In a world where some humans who die of unnatural causes are recruited as Gods Of Death and so remain eternally young, Corona, a God(dess) of Death (who died in her teenage/young adult years) has never had a break in years and decides that she has had enough. She complains to her supervisor and begs for a leave of absence, but he says the higher ups will punish them for sure since Corona is still considered a newbie.

However, he suggests her to work on the special cases: humans who have excessive bonds to the world that cause difficulties to retrieve their souls. To retrieve the souls of these humans, a God of Death has to temporarily change into human form and approach them to relieve them from their bonds. Since this work is so bothersome, hardly anyone wants to do it anymore and the supervisor advises Corona to take this chance to appeal to the higher ups.

Annoyed and exhausted, Corona begrudgingly agrees and chooses the case of Vein Magista, a girl who is destined to die by murder. Corona is then given necessary documents and an ATM card with access to unlimited local money. After reviewing many strict rules and regulations for her supernatural powers, Corona is transported directly to where her target is...in a high school changing room.

The story will follow Corona as she desperately tries to unravel the mystery behind Vein's contented, playful, and slightly sadistic personality (she casually reveals that she already knows that she's going to be murdered, and that all three of the Gods who came before Corona dated her before they gave up on her case, leaving her with the impression that Gods just want to date her), the Magista family massacre, and the collapsed nation, while at the same time bearing with Vein's flirting and teasing, and her new life in the human world.

Worthy enough to make a fic out of this?

In a fantasy-industrial world, the Great War between the North and South Alliances rages over the inhospitable deserts and jungles of the equator. Neither side is willing to give in, and the war has lasted for entire lifetimes, and the recruitment rate and male birthrate is synonymous - men as young as 12 are sent for training so they can later actually fight. The governments are even contemplating going against religious doctrine and using the fantasy-industrial magic to create clone-soldiers. Some of the even more radical members of parliament suggest letting women volunteers fight.

However, this is all distant, for the purpose of giving an atmosphere of uncertainty, fear, economic depression, intrigue and scarcity in the home countries - like WWI cranked up to 11. In this, a young woman inherits a mansion, but not much else, and must slowly hire a female staff to attempt to establish a business that can turn a profit, her dream being to rekindle the power her noble name used to hold and join the small group of women in parliament. She must contend with having to learn economics, foreign and domestic spies and agents, diplomacy and managing a household, as well as potential love with her loyal servants. She could possibly be a sweet and refined mistress, or one who enjoys using her status and charisma to bend her servants to her (sexy) domineering will.

Actually, meh, this really sounds better for a CYOA than an anime....

Okay. A regular girl is transported into a dangerous fantasy world filled with monsters (and maybe monster-girls) that would eat her alive so much as look at her. She manages to be found by a group or tribe of traveling warrior women. Having no practical skills or uses whatsoever, the only arrangement she can come up with for protection is to be a pleasure slave for the entire group. However, the presence of the girl begins to shake up the status quo of how the group of warriors normally worked.

I guess that's sort of a reverse harem but whatever, there you go.

After the local soccer team of a small town wins a world cup, the ensuing celebration is so huge it gets out of control, leaving everyone dead and the town razed. Genre: Fantasy
Main Character is a princess. Her mother died when she was young that is the reason why she has a close bond to her father who is the king of an empire. Currently the empire is at war with other kingdoms. Her father notices that she has a great understanding for tactics (only he could beat her at chess). That is the reason why she is at every meeting. One day troops attack the empire of the MC and almost everyone get killed but the little girl survives. That is the moment where she decides to stop this war.

Years later she dresses up as a boy and starts her training as a knight. With her understanding for tactics she quickly makes career. Her small troops win battles and she becomes more popular. But she must keep her real gender as an secret because no men would allow women to be warrior. The neighboring kingdom sees chances to expand and they offer troops and money but there is one condition: the MC must marry the princess of this empire. MC agrees because she needs more troops

The other princess is really snobbish. The only thing that is important for her is fashion and jewelry She achieved her goal to find a handsome prince, not knowing that the prince is a girl. But later she finds it out. The princess is really angry and wants go away but the "prince" can persuade her to stay and play the masquerade. Of course later the MC and the princes become really close friends

Other chacters:

MC*s bodyguard: he is also a nobleman and he knows the secret of the MC but he promised that he will nobody tell it. He is a better sword fighter as the MC. he really likes and supports her.

The General: born in a aristocratic family he also has great knowlegde in warfare. But he is really snobbish, sarcastic and misogynistic. But he respects people if they accomplish something great

A year after their S2 adventure, things start going wrong in their home dimension. Weather gets erratic and deadly, and newer, more dangerous anomalies start emerging. In order to set things right, our heroines head to what I'll call Blood Mountain to set things right. Anticipating a long journey, they pack up on food and medical supplies, only to have their plans squandered when RIley is nearly killed by the savage monster guarding the mountain's base, and Zoey has to nurse her back to health on her own. After lots of bonding time they press on to retrieve an artifact from within a dark cave, and everything goes fairly smoothly until they reach the summit, where their progress practically stagnates due to the freezing cold. Zoey gets her back broken by a chunk of hail, and Riley is forced to carry her the remainder of the way or leave her to die. Dying from both the cold and starvation, they finally reach the temple at the very peak and place the artifact, finally restoring order after what seemed like weeks of climbing. A portal opens up that would take them outside the base of the mountain, and Zoey uses what seems like the last of her energy to call an ambulance to that area. Riley refuses to let her lover die and summons up one last surge of strength to carry her through the portal. As a gift from god for Riley's determination, Zoey finally wakes up in the hospital after a month of being in a coma, where Riley proposes to her. Zoey accepts, they get married and then go back to business as usual.

And yes, they do have gratuitous amounts of sex on the mountain.

Prologue

Somewhere along the shores of 10th century Scandinavia, a massive portal suddenly appears. A Viking fleet, fresh from a profitable raid, sees this as an invitation by the gods, to join them in preparation for the battle of Ragnarok. But when the longships sail through the portal, the Vikings realized that they are not in Valhalla as they had hoped, but in the Inland Sea of Heian-era Japan.

Unfamiliar with the exotic surroundings, the Vikings suddenly witness a sea battle between the state navy and the great pirate armada of Fujiwara no Sumitomo. The Vikings cast their lots with Sumitomo, assisting their beleaguered fellow pirates in exchange for a share of their recent plunder.

The Vikings' battle-hardened naval tactics proved to be the tipping point, as the imperial fleet is crushed and Sumitomo is free to pillage the entirety of Japan. The introduction of chainmail, the shield wall, and superior ship construction eventually allow the Viking-Wakou army to capture the Heian capital and overthrow the Fujiwara clan. Initially, Sumitomo crowns himself as shogun, but the Vikings later turn against him and seize power for themselves.

A synthesis of Scandinavian and Japanese culture emerges, and the Norse and Shinto pantheons syncretize. The infusion of Viking technology and expertise makes Japan an aggressive naval power, raiding Korea, China, and as far south as Srivijaya. Scando-Japanese settlers begin to colonize Hokkaido, Sakhalin, and even the Pacific Northwest.

But as the portal between Scandinavia and Japan dissipates within a few decades, the Viking ruling class increasingly assimilates into Japanese society. They wear Japanese clothes, speak the Japanese language, adopt Japanese surnames, and intermarry with Japanese nobility. Eventually, the only remaining evidence of Viking rule are the technology, Norse loanwords (“sukurerin” is used interchangeably with gaijin), and the occasional blonde hair or blue eyes amongst the aristocracy.

Main Story

Almost 700 years after the establishment of the Viking Shogunate, Japan is down in the dumps. Its once mighty naval empire is long gone, and the new shogun, recently victorious in reuniting the feuding realms, must contend with rebuilding his war-torn nation. Its Scando-Japanese colonies have ceased communication, and the Portuguese and Spanish are increasingly resorting to ham-fisted diplomacy to obtain trade favors.

By now an old man, the Shogun trusts neither his scheming generals nor his petty sons to succeed him. Instead, he takes in a young member of the imperial family as his protégé. The Shogun hopes that by teaching the Princess political and military stratagem, she can take de facto power upon his death.

But one night, the Great Heavenly Gate, the very same portal that transported Viking conquerors to Heian Japan centuries ago, has reappeared in the Inland Sea, leading to the coast of Scandinavia exactly as before. The portal is a mixed bag: While Japan now has to deal with even more European powers like Denmark-Norway, Sweden, France, and Poland-Lithuania, the portal does place Japan’s own military forces in proximity to mainland Europe.

Realizing that military and economic reforms are critical for Japan’s survival, the Princess vows to learn everything there is to know about Europe. She secretly lands on the shore of Norway, disguised as a Finnish mercenary. And thus begins her journey throughout the war-torn continent, gaining new knowledge from Europe’s greatest minds, fighting against the most bloodthirsty warlords of the era, and forging new relationships along the way.

Can the Princess restore the former glory of the Scando-Japanese Empire? Or will Japan fall under the sukurerin yoke once more?

Main Characters

The Princess is the MC of this alternate history adventure anime. She immediately stands out amongst her Japanese peers with her blonde hair and blue eyes, proof of descent from Nordic overlords of yonder. She is ambitious, studious, and physically fit, but manipulative and cruel. It is an open secret in the imperial court of her penchant for beautiful women, and perhaps the allure of girls of different eye and hair colors is the secondary reason for her trek across Europe.

The first girl that joins the Princess is a Dutch cabin “boy” whom she encounters on the docks of Amsterdam. Her knowledge of maritime routes and multiple languages is seen as useful assets in the Princess’ understanding of maritime affairs. In spite of her short hair and boyish mannerisms, the Cabin Boy is quite the sub compared to the Princess’ imposing, domineering personality. She is secretly a Sephardic Jew.

The second girl to join the Princess’ harem, the Maid, hails from southwestern Germany. Accused of witchcraft in her home village, she was saved from being lynched by an angry mob when the Princess intervened on her behalf. Late twenties and still unmarried, she is compassionate and maternal, but easily flustered and unable to speak her mind. The Maid is also proficient in potions and herbal remedies, which may explain the witchcraft allegations.

Last but not least in the imperial harem is the Cossack. Though also blonde-hair and blue-eyed, the Cossack cannot be any more different from the Princess. Scruffy, loud, and hard-drinking, the Cossack lives for the present moment, spending most of her plunder on gambling, booze, and wenches. Unfortunately, one such gamble renders her indebted to the Princess, so she must now work as guide in the vast, bloodstained expanses of the Eurasian steppes

Historical figures like Rembrandt, Cardinal Richelieu, and Bohdan Khmelnytsky also appear throughout the story as secondary characters.

A yuri-obsessed boy who only plays female characters in games (whenever there's the option) starts playing one of those fully-immersive VR MMO games, finally letting him have a female body so that he can try to make some of his yuri fantasies come true. (His IRL body is never shown because it's not important and would make things seem more het.)

However, girl-on-girl romance doesn't just automatically happen to you once you get a female body. He has to learn how to approach women as a girl, or how to make himself look and act like the kind of girl women would approach. He doesn't want it to be publicly known that he's really a guy, but he doesn't want to hide that fact from any girls he's interested in/any girls who are interested in him. He's only interested in female characters played by actual women and would be disgusted to have romantic or intimate contact with other female characters played by men, so he's honest about what he is and isn't trying to straight-up lie or trick anyone. He just only brings it up when things might get serious with someone.

Throw in some hijinks about men being interested in him, general jokes and situations related to the fact that it's all a video game, maybe a Naotsugu-esque bro-like character played by a girl, maybe the idea that pretty much everyone plays a character that has the same sex as themselves and anyone who doesn't is considered deviant or pervert (and thus giving the MC more reason to keep his IRL sex on the down-low), and wrap it all up with lovely yuri romance.

This is all obviously a personal fantasy and is exactly what I'll be trying to do once any kind of fully-immersive VR MMO comes out, but still.

Ehh, it's debatable. Kashimashi is generally considered yuri even though the main character starts off as a boy and occasionally remarks on it up through the final episode, but any argument against Kashimashi being yuri would be a stronger argument against my idea being yuri. I'll concede that.

I figured the 'his IRL body is never shown' bit, meaning that he never appears as anything but a girl with a girl-voice and so on, would help make it seem more like yuri. As a personal fantasy, I fully expect it not to float most people's boats, but accusations of trolling are bit a much.

Different people read/watch yuri for different things. I'm into yuri for the touching romance without any penises or blocky male bodies making things seem vulgar rather than sweet. I'm into yuri because a lot of MCs of straight anime/manga tend to just meander and stutter as the girl of his dreams falls into his lap and tries to win him over without a whole lot of effort on his part. There are lots of reasons why I like yuri, and admittedly not ALL of them are fully applicable to my idea, but they hit a lot of the same tones.

Sorry but no, you're completely missing my point. It's not 'exactly the same thing' at all.

You're proposing a boy in physical space who wants to have a 'yuri' relationship with girls in a virtual space.

However, if you consider his/her character to be a boy because his physical body is male, then it is not a yuri relationship, it's a kinky het one. Not a bad thing, if the other partner is bi to begin with, but not yuri.

You can consider it a 'yuri' relationship if you decide that only the virtual bodies matter, or that the virtual bodies reflect the true personality (getting into trans territory here - people who are cool with Kashimashi generally consider her to have been pretty much a girl in a boy's body from the beginning)

Either it's not yuri because he's a boy in physical form, or it's silly for him to reject other "girls" in the MMORPG who might not be girls in physical form.

It's reasonable for guys to approach him in that way, yeah, but in my fantasy the MC would just turn them all down.

I'm sorry if it's weird for me to be so particular, but the thing is I'm only interested in people who are girls through-and-through. For me, if the other person has a male physical body, then even if we're both female characters, any 'yuri' would just be a game of pretend with another man, which is something I'm not interested in at all.

This is also going into trans territory, but for me, if you're born as a guy, you're a guy forever, no matter how you represent yourself or what you do to yourself. Same thing if you're a girl. The VR fantasy of mine would allow me to be a girl, be considered and treated as a girl, but with the caveat that yeah, my physical body is male, and how much that matters to another person is up to them. It would be up to me to find a girl playing a female character who couldn't give less of a shit about that little caveat, would think of me as a girl, and from that point forward it would be nothing but lesbianism. If not being willing to look past that caveat of another 'girl' makes me a bad person, then so be it.
