This. Easier said than done though.

The most obvious method would be to do a massive meta-study looking at various paranormal investigations and looking for similarities in the occurences. Specifically, for "triggers" that are present before the majority of certain paranormal events. If we can find a way to trigger these events with a fair degree of regularity, then we could get the attention of mainstream science. Only problem is sifting through the shitlord hoaxers so they don't fuck up the data, which is gonna be near impossible.

Next best thing would be to amass inexplicable phenomena captured on video/audio, which many, many people are already doing but, once again, thanks to the prevelance of hoaxers makes it way too easy to write off the few pieces of unexplained evidence as fakes.

Mid-series Ghost Adventures was actually doing a really good job at this imo because they always took as much data as they could with things like air temp and emf, while constantly trying new equipment to see what works and what doesn't, along with the hours of genuinely spooky footage and audio. Sadly it's hard to take anything they do seriously nowadays, due in part to obvious acting and admitting that they have started making up evidence for some of the "slower" investigations.

TL;DR hoaxers are robbing us of a potentially brand new branch of science.

That would be more straightforward, but much, much more tedious. Just sifting through the millions of "psychics" who claim to be the real deal is going to be exceedingly time consuming and difficult. We'll be working with actual people, which means they are going to have to be tracked down and then convinced to participate. Harry Houdini famously challenged the world to show him psychics/clairevoyants exist, and nobody was ever able to, and he was a global celebrity with millions of dollars at his disposal.
