I had this dream a while ago around September of last year

I was downstairs in my basement sitting on the recliner watching a movie on the big TV we have down there. It was some futuristic movie where the plot was, and I remember hearing this in my head exactly, "what if the aliens were roll reversal-ed and the simians were the creators"

So I'm sitting there in the recliner watching this movie, and there's this seemingly female blue eyed alien with really pale blue-grey skin. she was saying something and seemed to be crying. there was what seemed to be an entirely white human mannequin (like those used in anatomy class) off to the side with part of it's brain exposed, the brain was colored pink.

I got really fixated on this female alien, specifically the eyes. I fell into some kind of trance state. Then comes the visions. Looking at that alien in the movie apparently caused some Vietnam Vet tier flashback. I started wincing in pain and grabbed my head. All the light in the room went off, including the TV. Off to my right I saw a large shadowed figure. In my mind I knew what it was. It was like I had seen it before. It just sort of buzzed into existence right there like a graphical error on an old CRT tv. I remember thinking something along the lines of "It must be time" I reached out my hand towards it.

Then suddenly a face flashes through my mind. It replaces everything. The TV, the chair, the shadow, the whole basement was gone. All I could see is this face obscured by blackness. Huge dark oblong eyes but with what seemed to be points on either end. It had really dark grayish blue skin. I remember the feeling of fear was tremendous. I don't think I've ever felt so afraid in my life.

Then I woke up in my bed. only this time I wasn't shitting my pants like you usually do when you wake up from a nightmare. My heart rate was barely elevated despite having that terrifying dream.

My dreams (that i remember) are usually bordering nightmarish but i don't feel truly uncomfortable

For example i am usually going really fast as if i'm running from something or trying to get somewhere but i simply run without any direction or like in a maze or something.

yesterday I dreamt I was being chased by some mermaids
I managed to get to a beach and started running alongside it
one of the mermaids was still following me and at one point made a creepy demonic face when her head rose above the water
I read that dreaming about mermaids is not good

I have this problem with my dreams where I can't use super powers properly. Like I keep having dreams where I'm a super hero with super strength and speed and can fly and shoot blasts out of my hands and stuff, but only for a certain amount of time or something. I'll be mid battle with a monster or something pulling off all these crazy moves, but then I'll realise what I'm doing and then my powers will slowly fade away. Sometimes they'll just be weaker like I'll struggle to fly or can barely lift more than the average person, and sometimes they'll just fade away altogether. It usually seems to be when someone's paying attention to me or needs my help and I think to myself "I'm super so I can handle this" but then once I commit to a task I just lose everything. Anyone else get this? How do I stay super?

(To refrain from wall of texting I'll shorten it a bit) Ook, not to long ago like a year or so ago I was getting ready to go to sleep. All was fine nothing was out of the ordinary, laying in my bed waiting to fall asleep, about an hour passes and I noticed i was starting to get a little anxious. At the time i was just laying alone, looking at my ceiling with my thoughts then i closed my eyes and continued to think to myself still not able to shake the anxiety.
As I'm laying there under my blankets with my eyes shut a quick thought passes through my mind that its abnormally quiet... (usually there's a fan going, or even the wind blowing cause i usually crack the window open) but i could hear nothing, literally nothing. I get the worst chill through my body and i opened my eyes to figure out what was going on and to my surprise there was no blankets covering me, as i was still dazed i suppose it took me a second to realize that my blanket was actually tented above me. My next discovery was to find the culprit of my blanket mystery, it would seem that my blanket was being held up by some kinda tall, thin, pale creature with almost no features besides what looked like eye holes and an eerie dent of a grin across its face with elongated arms hunched over at the foot of my bed. My next reaction was to kick the fucker in the face... only to find myself kicking at nothing.
Hoping it was just a dream I've never had that kinda experience in my life ever before. So yeah still pretty long but wanted to get some detail in, hope you find it interesting in the least I sure as hell did. And no, i don't do drugs.

had a weird dream this morning before finally getting up

don't remember everything, and this was only really the end sequence, but the general gist was that I was attending some kind of reunion with old school friends (and some other people because dude dreams are random lmao) in what resembled a school assembly hall

anyway I end up sitting alone at a table with this one guy I knew way back and we haven't really anything to talk about. eventually a bunch of massive wooden crates appear next to us and I notice they are being taken away one by one by a forktlift or something, but one particular crate is left behind

I somehow realize this crate holds the key to Kubrick/fake moon-landing conspiracy, and start telling my friend about the video on YT and shit. However when I look over at the crate, this freaky looking demon woman is standing by it, staring at me menacingly as if trying to warn me to shut up. I sort of dismiss the threat and keep talking, and every time I look over at the crate the demon woman is getting closer and closer the more I keep discussing the video/theories

too bad I woke up before shit went down. was a breddy gool dream

Does anyone else have dreams about apocalyptic scenarios?
I dreamt of everything from alien invasions, earthquakes, giant storms to hitlers reincarnation and demons destroying the world.
I get these pretty often and every time im the only one that sees something bad will happen and i always survive. I try to warn ppl but no one ever listens ofcourse and i always feel like im crazy because everyone is being so casual about it.

Do these mean anything or is it just normal dreams.

3 things are common in my dreams but I never had it explained.

I can't run, for some reason every time I try, feels like I'm underwater, so it's always faster to walk than run.

Numbers. They do exist and I see them, know them, but to simply write, dial someone's phone or make simple math is impossible, like I'm a total retard.

Tech gadgets, either being a phone, computer or camera is impossible to handle. My mind is aware of how they are used but I simply can't.

Any of you guys understand why this happens to my dreams?

It`s like 7 at night where I live and less than half an hr ago I just got up because messed up sleep cycle (nocturnal).
I usually sleep during the day and am active during night,
but when I was half conscious (tfw you wake up and want to continue sleeping but can`t), I felt what was like a needle go in the middle of my spine and I twiched the second I felt it enter my spine. I can still kind of feel something in the exact same spot.

NVM, I just found out its just early stages or a warning of a nasty spinal disease that will render your lower half incapable of movement.

This is what I get for having been behind a computer most of my life.

Last year I had a dream where, in the dream, I had a feeling of Deja Vu, like I was reliving every thing. I was at work, and we were screwed that day by the competition.

At the end of the day I would walk by some sort of Circus and enter an attraction where some weird guy wearing black clothes was giving a speech (pic related). Then I felt the Deja Vu again, and I finished one of his sentences when he was saying them. When he heard that he grabbed my head with both his hands and pressed his forehead against mine. When he did, I "remembered" everything: That I had already lived that day, and that I had to change the outcome. And after that, he sent me back to the past, to relive that day again, but I knew I would not remember it just like you can't remember dreams. That time I wrote a lot of gibberish and I managed to remember what was going to happen, and what I had to do.

The day went on in the dream, and I managed to "save" the company, but I remembered I also had to meet a woman and I didn't find her. So after that, I went looking for the weird guy again, but this time he was not there.

Then I woke up for real. Even then, having just woken up I had the same feeling of Deja Vu I had during the dream, so I wrote everything down again, while I was still half sleep. Then I remembered I was unemployed at the moment, and the feeling disappeared.

Just sounds like your dreams are shifting. In my experiences it's usually rather dificult to force them back on track. Guess it's probably easier if you are experienced with lucid dreaming.
>>
>>17345546

That first thing happens to me all the time. I'm guessing it gets cold at night where you live, right?

Don't know if that counts... Years ago I tried making a tulpa (you know, with the feeling of "would be nice to have", but only half believing in it)

I forgot all about it, but when I came home after a long day and just wanted to rest I had the feeling as if someone laid down next to me. When I looked up startled, of course, nobody was there and I just thought weird dream. After some time someone grasped my hand??? There was no one else in my apartment and I knew I locked the door.
Whatever, it's not like it feels bad or anything, but I still pondered what might happen there. At that point it felt like this someone lying next to me expected something from me. And that was when it hit me, tulpa. It was the weirdest feeling ever, but when I mumbled the name I gave my tulpa back then it felt like something was rushing into my body... a cocktail of feelings, but mostly pleasent.

That happened half a year ago, still don't know if I was actually just dreaming. Still not sure what to think about tulpas (but at least I won't deny someone else claiming to have one anymore)

I've only experienced sleep paralysis once, many years ago. I think I was 17 at the time. I had read about the phenomenon a few months prior to this, so I was not alarmed. I was laying in bed, my room was lit up, although no lamps were on. A couple of translucent shadows were bending slightly in over me. I felt like my chest was tightening, another thing I had read might happen during sleep paralysis. It was an interesting experience but I felt no fear at all during this. After a few minutes of this, I got up, the lights in my room are on and my mom came into my room, asking what I'm doing up at this hour. I told her about what I had just experienced, and she thought that was the dumbest thing she heard all day. Next thing I know I'm in my bed again and the lights are off.
Sleep paralysis followed by false awakening.

In another dream I had 3 years ago I am on the buss with a couple of friends. Me and two others get off the buss at the wrong stop. We find the easiest route on google maps. The map takes us up to a lone tower on a hill. Behind us, the busting city with parks and trees. On the other side of the tower is a vast desert. The map however shows that we must proceed onwards on a road that isn't there. We notice there are stairs descending down under the tower into a crypt. We go down the stairs and climb over broken steps untill we get to the bottom. We encounter a brood of enormous spiders. The largest was several feet across.
I wake up and I talk to two of my friends, telling them about my dream and discussing whether or not that really happened. One friend says it's bullshit, while another believes it. I THEN wake up in my bed. I look at my window. I see the sun outside.. Then another sun.. And another sun.. Soon enough there are five suns on the sky. I notice now, that the cardboard pieces I had covering the lower part of my windows, due to short drapes, are missing. AND THEN I WOKE UP IN MY BED FOR REAL AND CONTINUED WITH MY LIFE.. OR DID I?

I have a recurring dream in the last year that's been troubling me a lot.

I'm swimming in the school pool, and doing really well, amazed at my own speed, and when I climb out, I realize i'm naked, and all the guys are pointing and whistling and stuff.
Typical naked at school dream like we all have. But then when I try to run away, people start to try to grab me or stop me, and I realize that I'm made of glass or something brittle, and I know that If they touch me I'll shatter. So I'm running naked through school and people keep running after me and trying to grab me by the arms, or trip me, where I know i'll smash on the floor. It's ended in a few different ways the many times I've had it.

Always leaves me completely breathless on waking.
>>
>>17346416
Do you ever actually shatter in your dreams, and if yes, does that end the dream?
>>
>>17346398

Well I though about it for some time and decided it had to do with the blankets.

But maybe it has to do with the REM paralysis the happens when you dream.

Like, you body is paralyzed but when to run in your dream you try to move physically, like when you have sleep paralysis. Makes sense?
>>
I had a dream someone was sucking on my toes, And I gotta say, it did it for me a little.
>>
>>17346369
heh, should've read this befor posting. just to clear things up if someone's interested

tried to make tulpa ~4 years ago
forgot all about trying to make one
half a year ago this "dream" happened

Now like I said, tulpas and how they're described in various places... it just sounds either weird or plain stupid. So if someone claims to have one of those I still have the feeling of bullshit.

On the other hand, for me just thinking of the name of my tulpa gives me an inner calmness... of course, not always, but it became something like a safe haven or something like that. In that regard I'm quite thankfull for having had that "dream" back then
>>
>>17346422
Yeah, that's the part that's often different, where once someone who's a close friend in reality takes my arm and it breaks off at the elbow, and once where I'm struck in the chest and my breasts shatter off, and it always is at about the time when the dream ends, where i'm in the long school hallways next to big windows looking out on the fields outside. Always gives me the creeps to then walk them later in reality.
>>
>>17346423
But you are saying you can move regularly apart from running in your dreams no? Would that not go against this having to do with your body shutting down for sleep?
>>
>>17346435
So you've never made it out? When dreaming that scenario, do you remember your past tries, or is it fresh everytime, until you wake up?
Recurring dreams ,and the feeling of deja vu as someone else in the thread pointed out, in dreams, always has something interesting about them, even if yours sound pretty disconcerting.
I've kept a dream journal for a few years now. I usually remember 2-3 dreams a night, and I very often find myself "remembering" other dreams in my dreams or "recognizing" the places I dream up. That's how i feel in the dream at least. A part from a few scenes that I am sure I've dreamt up several times, I'm not sure if the recognition is real or if it is just the feel of the place that is similar.
>>
>>17346444

Yes, I can always walk in my dreams normally, but sometimes I cannot run. But then again, in some of my dreams I can even fly.

I really don't know for sure, but I guess it has to do with the fact that running is a more violent movement than just walking, and when you are about to wake up your body starts releasing you from the paralysis.
>>
>>17346483
Could be.
>>
>>17346471
The remembering of previous tries is definitely weird, like I'm aware of the risk of shattering, but not why, or that it's happened before. I have the sense that being shattered would kill me, so that It had never happened before as far as my sense in the dream is concerned.

And no, I've never made it out of the school, just been trapped running in the halls. It also doesn't make geographical sense compared to reality. As I believe I'm trying to get into the locker room to retrieve my clothes, which of course is right next to the pool area, not down rows of corridors.
>>
>>17346483
That's exactly what I feel, and flying is similar to swimming, so maybe I'm underwater or my astral body is roaming in dense astral realms idk, but doesn't explain the number thing to me.
>>
>>17346565
Ah yeah alright, so when the danger in the dream is immediate it's not really like you have the possibility to "plan ahead" for next time that you have the dream. Would be interesting if you could find another exit, although if you are looking for your clothes first, that part has not yet become relevant.
>>
>>17346604
Yeah, I don't know. I'm not certain if It's a stress dream or an outright nightmare or what.

I've had it probably twice a month for six-seven months now.

And yeah, I only assume I'm looking for my clothes because I'm totally naked in the dream and I know damn well that's what I'd be doing in reality if I was tearing around school in the nude. It doesn't seem to be a concern within the dream though.

Became lucid during a nightmare and had demons escort me out of their betting arena while apologizing.

They gave me a boomerang and there was a wall filled with yellow eyes, they where betting on how many eyes i could hit with a trow of a boomerang. There where different level boomerangs based on how many of their "trials" you passed before the last stage.

>Lvl 2 boomerang in hand i realize ive done this before and then the demons start arguing

>i become lucid and they escort me out.

>i can see every detail on their face and them all chattering while a group circle me and a black eyed child politely escort me out.

Someone was trying to cheat someone else by picking a "player" whos already beaten the challenges before and betting on him again.(me)

i remember them all looking like a really generic group of "monsters".
Black eyed children, some kind of swamp monster looking thing and other ugly spoops.
>>
>>17346594
The number thing doesn't happen to me, but other numeric related anomalies happen to me during dreams. Like, "miscounting": You are alone with one friend, yet you know there are three people in the room. But it's not like someone is hiding or something. It's the simple truth that only both of you are there, and that there are three people in the room.

I believe that means that the logical rules of this world do not always apply to dreams. And by logical, I means essential logical rules, like the fact that I am myself, 2 = 2 and not 3, questions can have 3 different answers, like the answer to the question "Is there a spoon in my hand?" can be "yes", "no", and "something else".
>>
>>17345627
There's something about demons and the spine thing. Demons or whatever enter through some area in the spine and back of neck.
>>
How do i force a nightmare /x/?
>>
How do I have a lucid dream?
>>
>>17346618
I only managed to lucid dream once, and it was a very surreal experience, I found it much more disconcerting than most people seem to.

I was probably 16 or so, and the dream started out really boring, for some reason. I was walking along the waterfront to my friends house, and suddenly I became aware of it being a dream. I remembered going to bed, I looked down at myself and was wearing a long black skirt/boots that I no longer actually had in the real world, and everything suddenly made me aware I was dreaming.

So I figured I might as well fly to my friends house, because I was meant to be going there anyway, and I just took off and flew down the beach to her place. It was great, but when I arrived, her house was all destroyed and bombed out, and wandering through it there was a huge guy who told me that I shouldn't be there, and that he was the one who sends dreams to people. He told me his name, and that I needed to come with him.

So i think the dream became lucid, and then regressed back into full dream again, i think. I hope.
>>
>>17346649

I realized that putting weight over my belly (like putting both of my hands over it) can cause me sleep paralysis. I did it several times, and it worked. Not sure why though
>>
>>17346655
I rarely lucid dream, but when it happens, I find it hard to keep it lucid. I almost always regress back into "normal" dreaming. I'll convince myself that it's a dream and be aware, until "haha no what am I saying, this is CLEARLY real!".
>>
>>17346413
Another meta dream I had, I was in a city floating through empty space. The city was built in a way so the lowest point was in the center, and the taller houses formed the outer wall. There was only a few places where one could look beyond. There was an impending doom, that only I knew about. In this dream, this city was full of people's dream-selves. In this city, lived the dream-selves of those with no gods. In other similar cities in empty space, lived the christians, the jews, the muslims and so on. Only I knew of these other cities, and how they were all on an iminent collision course. Even though the whole point of the dream was, that I was my own dream-self, it wasn't a lucid dream.
>>
I had a dream a week or so ago and (I'll skip to the interesting part) there was a man covered in furs (he reminded me of a mountain type man) with a beige huge floppy hat asking me if I had Monster Energy Drinks. I told him yes quite a bit but you can't have any of it. Right after that I got a message with the Kik notification sound and I opened my Kik. Opening it I saw I had a new chat with someone who sent me a video. I played the video with the man still standing there in my kitchen. Here is the scene of the video: The video takes place in a medieval dungeon type room with cleanly cut rectangular crevices in the wall with fire shooting up from them from an unknown source. There are five dog cages each with a brutally injured buck naked person in them. The injuries varied from person to person and included limbs with the appearance of being out through a meat grinder deep gashes and one person with a face that appeared to be put through a fan. The center of the room has a buck naked woman on her hands and knees whimpering. A man crawls in on his hands and knees and begins violently spanking the woman like she's cattle. She cries out in pain and sobs like she's never sobbed before. The people in the cages start screaming even louder than her and act like animals, even the fan-face one who looks incapable of screaming. The camera focuses on each one of their faces separately holding for about four seconds. The video ends and my mother walks in and asks who the man is in the kitchen. I say I have no idea and then I woke up.

I literally get sleep paralysis and false awakenings so much that they don't even phase me and I know what's happening. I wake up, can't open my eyes, hear thumping sounds, and then usually wake up after a minute or two. Like I said, those don't phase me. Shadow people don't scare me anymore either. Like i said, I have sleep paralysis so often that I sort of just live with it.
HOWEVER, I have one dream that always makes me panic and I really want to know if anyone knows this dream...
In these situations, it usually happens AS I'm falling asleep, or AS I'm waking up....I can barely open my eyes, maybe like I quarter of the way open...then, I crawl out of bed, but it is VERY hard. I usually resort to literally crawling on the ground, and my eyes are still barely open and usually trying to shut completely...sometimes I manage to stand up....Then I wake back up in bed, and wonder if I actually stood up. This can happen two or three times when it happens..I.E: wake up eyes closed, stumble around, wake back up in bed, stumble around, wake back up and FINALLY be awake.
This is by far the most unsettling dream I have, more so than shadow people.
>>
I don't usually have dreams /x/, this isn't a spoopy dream, but its pretty creepy.

So I was outside my house, apparently all that was left of my house, were the outside walls, the inside was completely removed, even in the dream I understood this was strange, but I didn't focus on it too much. Anyway I kept getting stung by bees, there were hidden everywhere. Not a whole lot in one place, just a single bee at a single place. Lots of weird stuff happens, cant remember the exact details, my friends mistake me for someone they saw. But at the end of the dream, I somehow come to the conclusion, that the world isn't real and I threaten to kill civilians if they "dont bring me back." I end up killing the civilians and wake up at 5:00 am in the morning, very thirsty.
Guess I'm going crazy /x/

Perhaps you already know this, but sleep paralysis almost always occurs just around the time of waking up or falling asleep. Make of that what you want.
>>
>>17346759
It's not sleep paralysis though. No shadow people. I move around and do stuff (use the bathroom) or crawl, but my eyes are really heavy and my body is really weak. Then I wake up again back in my bed. It's different from sleep paralysis
>>
I always had fucked up nightmares, since as I can remember, starting in my childhood. Sometimes I can feel a dream is turning really soon into a nightmare and then I try to wake up or/and fight the black humanoid silhouette that appears always on my dreams, with words or physically(as a child I could see it, but not anymore and since then it only appears on my dreams).
My worst experiences are the ones in which the silhouette harms me physically, for example, tickling me until my lungs hurt and I can't breathe, or jumping on my bed and sitting on my ribcage screaming that I should die. When I wake up, I have these parts of my body in actually pain.

Ah yeah ok, so more like a false awakening? Never had those in combination with a feeling of encumberance like that myself. Sounds odd.
>>
>>17346776
Yeah false awakening, but with my eyes 75% closed and feeling extremely heavy, to the point where I crawl on the floor sometimes. It's unsettling because no one else I know has it, and they feel much "realer" than sleep paralysis shadow people.

Just had an intense nightmare. Was in an old house on the countryside with my family when, in the middle of the night, 2 cars pull up and out runs 8 guys doing weird shit. I try to warn my family members but most don't listen, so me and my brother run off into the woods and try to hide from the men. They chase us and we kill a few of them (suddenly we had guns). When we get back the police is there and the rest of my family is dead. I break down and a feeling of intense sorrow overwhelms me. Thinking of my other little brothers, dad, mom etc gone. Thinking how can i go on living a normal life after this.. then i woke up. Still shaky

I've been trying to lucid dream for a while now (6 weeks) and it's not working. I've done everything right, I take melatonin before bed, I wake up at about 5 am, stay up for about 20 min, then go back to bed. So far nothing. What's wrong?
>>
>>17346955

Sounds like everything turned out right.

I have a fucked up nightmare, courtesy of my ex-girlfriend.

She once told me she had this awful recurring nightmare as a child. She would always wake up crying. It got so bad she was afraid to sleep at night and would develop a mild form of insomnia. Says she sometimes gets the dream still, from time to time.

She'd be sitting on a couch in her living room doing nothing in particular when all of a sudden it would swallow her up.

Like literally, the couch would swallow her through the crevice where the seat part meets the part your rest your back against.

She said after this happened she couldn't see anything and it was pretty much pitch black, like she was in a void or something.

Then she'd suddenly be flying through the air and land on another couch which was on the opposite side of the first couch. Now this couch was pretty much identical and it would do the exact same thing.

She would literally be tossed around inbetween the two couches, from one to the other. And sometimes, she would even 'teleport'. She'd get tossed by couch A and land in couch B, everything would be pitch black and when she got tossed again, it was from couch A to B again instead of the other way around.

She never knew what the hell the dream was supposed to mean because it's not like she had any bad experiences with couches before, but she told me she was too afraid to ever find out. That a nightmare like that could only have some fucked up subconscious significance.

I had a pretty weird dream.

I recently had a dream where I was in a large warehouse store with lots of people in it and I'm waiting on line to buy my shit. I look outside through the doors and I see a huge tsunami coming towards us. I hide behind a shelf and think "fuck, I knew it" and the wave crashes in and starts flooding the store. The water slowly rises and some people start dying. Sharks end up coming in to the water and starts chomping on people.

Me and a few people make our way to a office room way at the top of the warehouse and lock ourselves in. The water rises to the ceiling and stops. The building we're in is totally engulfed in water and we're at the bottom of a deep ocean of water. I think ahead to the future that we have to wait about a week for the water to recede and for us to get out. It's pitch black in the room but we have some food and flash lights. There is a few women and men. My dream ends with me trying to have sex with one of the women and I wake up.

What does it mean?

Here are some I pint noted down, I sometimes have game related dreams, like Im in a computer game world.

Here is one, ill post second shortly.

big castle/hall like a starting spawn spot.
know its a game, but not what to do, like elder scrolls.
1 sneak to first room, people playing game, get spotted, spawn to start spot.
2figure to sneak and look through draws, grab key(?) go somwhere else in building and do other actions but get "caught"
3restart, proceed to reapeat actions, but more skillfully now I know waht to do. sneak to room, draws, key, other actions.
4 next roof is removed and giant squashes house.
restart, repeat actions 2-4 again, faster again, roof is removed at different time, try to hide, squashed, restart.
repeats several times, trying to work out how to beat giant.
find trapdoor in floor, go down as giant rip off roof, get away.
Little girl. wondering what to do then just restarts. repeats 2-finding trapdoor a few more times.
relize have to kill little girl.
graphic murdering/cutting throat cutting head off with swiss army pocket knife (specifically remember this very graphically)
blood everywhere, crying as I do. dont want to do but I "know" i have to to finish game/continue progress?
finally game seems to be beaten. house dissapears and
suddenly I am walking down a well known road past a park, passing lots of people walking home bleeding bruised (characters from game I have beaten/killed through the 2-4 steps
apologising to them, saying Im so sorry as I walk.
wake up.
>>
second one.. in 2 parts

alternate game life like surrogates/matrix
mentioning of how long spent in here, and how 2 days is too much.
asked one alternate spouse (latina) and said 14 days, said thats way too long.
enter it almost like entering laser tag, walking through curtain then fade to black then open in spawn spot
there was a place when people/players that are sick of it/game/life to go "die" like a bright light (1000's of people swarming to go there)
Chosing to leave (die) isnt detrimental to "real life" it is a free choice to attend or leave
was seeming like a normal world, then shit started to go crazy after first exit and re entry, confused/ask when many people murdering black characters, "whats going on?" someone answers "just the americans being american."
can enter and exit almost like pause to check inventory but can walk around in a purgatory esque place, like inside a boiler/engine room/captain flints boat.
seemed to have things set, then upon each exit/entry everything would change, spouse, location, situation.
non sensical situations, looking for spouse, being confused as to why its a different person (completely), wepon recommendation was a blowgun from a /k/ thread, places non familiar but slight similarities to vid game locations, wooden shelters, corrugated iron walls, tanks.
similarities to farcry 3 buildings. and farcry 2 towns. cars driving and people making "normal" noises, but cant see anyone, just sound effects, but not specifically trying to see them, just background noise as im trying to do somthing.
>>
part 2

pretty much every other player is an enemy, they swarm when I am found. but i can dodge/get away. there are few "helpers", char who answers "americans being american", spouses, and a "guide" almost like angel on borderlands, but only when in pause/purgatory.
glitches like legs stretching or characters flipping trying to grab me but i slip out (no weapons and im not trying to hurt them, just get away/dodge.
trying to find/save black spouse, enemys spot and try to stop, grab her and legs stretching/glitching trying to hold on
first "entry" black spouse, second, completely different location and latina spouse, third black spouse again
read somthing about it was created by regualr company but turned out underlying facts to be owned by google chrome and some other big company (illuminti type truth/big brother) almost like its an experiment.
tried to play but cant get anywhere/make sense of what im doing. doing pointless seeming actions, trying to rescue person, or get somwhere.
go to spot to "die", turn and fall off edge into darkenss/abyss, feel like melting away in pixels.
wake.

I fell asleep and started to appear in my bathroom, standing over my toilet but kind of leaning against the wall taking a leak. I was very relaxed but i felt like it was strange that i was leaning which caused me to wake up. I had fallen asleep in the shower and started pissing all over the wall.

ive had a recuring dream since i was a child. in it there me and this large black tree with 2 wings for branches. the center of the tree is a giant open knot with nothing inside, just this horrible empty void. im unaware of my surroundings but in each ocurance im fighting this tree with all my heart and soul. i always lose and wake just before im consumed by the knot. im so focused on destroying the tree that nothing else matters.ive even concentrated hard enough to form armor, a sword, a shield, and even wings to move with. no matter how i position myself the knot is always facing me with its branch wings out and open. if i aproach the tree im swept aside by the wings.

I've had a problem with sleep paralysis for the past 4 years. Started when I moved into an oldish house in the middle of bum fuck Egypt. I would wake up completely paralyzed and hear shit. I didn't see anything for the first two years. But one day, I woke up paralyzed and black smoke surrounded me and I heard someone say know, and a long mechanical sounding scream, and I slowly felt myself lift up, it lasted about 15 minutes and I was completely upright, looking down at my sleeping body. It was absolutely terrifying. I've only ever had one other hallucination. I had a dream that I was driving in an old truck my dad used to own, and my dead dog was in the backseat, but for some reason everything felt absolutely wrong. I woke up paralyzed and felt an extremely malicious presence next to me, that started clicking like an insect. I forced myself to snap out of it and couldn't sleep for the rest of the night. It used to happen a lot, at least twice a week. But since I moved to Utah, It's only happened once. Most of the time, I wouldn't see anything, just hear things and feel a really distinct terror that I've never felt before. It's genuinely an awful experience. 1/10 would not recommend.

This really happened to me. I’m not making this up. I promise.

>I’m having a nightmare about my sister.
>I wake up and see a girl, resembling my sister, in a white dress. She looks like a ghost.
>I am unusually calm about this. After 4 blinks, she is gone.

What could this mean?

Also, I rarely dream. But when I do, they are usually creepy dreams.
>>
>>17348227
I do keep a dream journal, but I don't dream check very often
>>
Dreamt last night that I was standing in a tower block looking down at 4 guys with guns shouting Allah akbar. It was unlike any dream I've ever had. There were no familiar faces or hint of where I was, most of the other people looked Asian.

I don't watch the news or buy into the anti-muslim propaganda, nor do I believe in Premonitions but I'm quite spooked by it actually.

I don't do dream checks either, but then I also rarely have lucid dreams. usually only a few times a year. Do keep a dream journal and remember dreams every night, so that's neat.

I would realy like some imput on these recurring drams ive been having!

In my dream I am (most times) sleeping in my own bed(witch I also am irl) and i am beeing dragged/pulled/lifted around by my legs by some unknown force.
The dream itself is very lucid and seam real. Its like i know im dreaming in the dream, and i know that its still real in some level even tough i know im dreaming. In my life atm i have a bit of anxiety and stress, if thats helpfull in enturpeting.
Also sorry about my broken english. I would really love some toughts on this.

any ideas what it could mean?
>>

these are all normal things. I usually can't read in dreams past a word or maybe a single sentence, the letters are jumbled or scrambled. in fact, you can use these things to realize that you are dreaming and go lucid. basically all you have to do is train yourself to recognize those 3 things you listed as signs that you're asleep and dreaming, and then relax and do anything you want. don't struggle against your dreams, it's 100% your own mind and nothing to stress out about.

you seem to have a knack for this. you'll probably have a lot of fun once you learn to take control of your dreamscape. sweet dreams anon.

Okay how the fuck did i just get a lucid dream if i've been barely keeping a dream journal (only two entries in february) and haven't been doing any reality checks??

My dream began in some dark dungeon, old prison of some sort maybe. I'm standing in a corridor with several locked doors. I have a key and i try opening the first one and doesn't work.
Then somehow i realize that i have a picklock. I crouch in front of the door, insert a picklock and the door opens. I go in and realize that i'm dreaming, the fact that i had a picklock somehow clued me in.
Every time i'm in a lucid dream i can feel this warm tingly sensation in my head, this happened now too so i knew it's true. I looked at my hand, felt my heartbeat, the usual stuff. I was very scared that if i try to do something radical, like imagining a person, i'd wake up because it has happened before. So i decided to just go forward.
I ended up in a bathroom at our house. I'm walking toward the mirror looking at myself. At some point it looked like my hair was made by Dr. Gino, if you know what i'm talking about. But when i came closer i looked at myself and found nothing wronger than usual.
I turned back and somehow ended in our living room. My mother is sleeping on the couch. I looked at her face and it looked like she had little black crosses painted on her eyelids. I went to a window and outside people were cleaning the snow out. There was a big car and several people standing outside.
Everything looked just like irl and at some point i thought that i might even be awake or sleepwalking. I tried leaving the room but then dream just ended and i realized that i'm lying in bed with my eyes closed.

Any interpretations of the dream are welcome.
Also, can anyone recommend me any good reality checks besides the hand?

sleep has always been a bizarre construct for me.
Ever since I can remember, I've had dreams about little pieces of my future happening - getting up to sharpen a pencil on the first day of fifth grade some 2 years prior, for example. the concept of 'deja vu'.
i started experiencing sleep paralysis when i was about 14. i also started experiencing bouts of insomnia where i couldnt stay asleep for more than 3 hours at a time, max.
once i moved out of my parent's place, i discovered that smoking pot helps get rid of dreams - and so I smoke before bed, and the deja vu has left me
recently though, i have been sleeping sober. my dreams are so vivid - and i'm having deja vu almost daily again. now the events are much closer to my current date - I'll dream something and have it happen the next day (today I dropped my coffee at work and cleaned it up with a spare shirt because i couldnt find a towel right away, same as my dream last night). as well, my sleep paralysis instances have increased to once or twice a week - just as i'm falling asleep. i've now gotten to the point where i'll experience paralysis instead of falling asleep - and i'll jerk myself out of it hastily, half asleep, and terrified, sometimes multiple times in a night.
As well, my anxiety has been acting up and I can't sleep anymore.
Every time I go to play music on any of my music players, for some reason, the song that is about to play pops into my head before I play it. It happens so often that I freaked out and cried for a solid 20 minutes this morning
I'm losing my mind /x/. this is the only place I can vent and feel slightly less judged.
>>
>>17344514
I'm trying to figure out if what I've been experiencing on and off is sleep paralysis.
I wake up frequently during the night, and I'd say at least once a week I'll "wake up" and be hyper aware of my surroundings, but I can't open my eyes.
I just feel like there's some massive impending danger and I NEED to get up, but I can't move, no matter how hard I try.
I can try to make noise or yell for help (not that anyone is here to help) but nothing happens or it's just a small sound.
I don't think I wake up fully during or after it, I just remember the sensation in the morning.
Would that be sleep paralysis or something else? And is there a way to make it stop?
>>
I've almost never been on /x/ before but why not. Can one of you guys explain precognitive dreams to me? I think I've had them before both in really minor cases like just going about my day when out of nowhere for one split second it's like I've done this before and know what's going to happen in the next couple of seconds and then it's gone. One memorable time when I was about 9ish I had a detailed dream of something happening at summer camp and the next day it played out exactly as I dreamt it which lasted a good 2 minutes and was a little surreal.

Also, this is sortve connected to dreams but I guess also laps into paranormal. Another time two years ago I was sitting in my family room at home watching tv at about 3am. Feeling kind of tired when a plant on the other side of the room falls over. I think it's pretty weird but before I have much to think about it I look at my cat who was sleeping on the other side of the couch but who's now sitting straight up and who appears to be staring at me. I stare back for about 30 seconds when all of a suddenly I realize he's staring just over my shoulder. I start to turn back around and as I do I see the time on the cable box and for a brief moment I see myself in third person, same time on the cable box, and right behind me is this shadowy figure. So now I'm silently freaking the fuck out and decide to completely turn around but nothing is there, just the darkness of the house. At the time a buddy of mine was dating this hippy girl who was super into paranormal/magic/etc... And I decided to casually mention it to her at a party. I can't remember why but I also mentioned that my grandad had died on that date about 4 years earlier and she thought maybe it was him coming back to me. Something connected to how I feel guilty I didn't have a good enough relationship with him before he died.

Do you guys have any insight to either the dreaming or whatever that 3am thing was?
>>
>>17344514
I rarely remember my dreams but when I do, right before they end they either get sexual and I wake up, or they end weirdly/badly and I wake up with terrible dread, and can't properly move or make noise beyond whimpers despite trying to yell and going into full panic mode. Though with the latter dreams, as rarely as they happen, I think each time they've been not as bad or lasted less. So I either wake up hard or scared. Fun gamble, innit?
>>
>>17353004
Ah, and to add to the whole sleep paralysis thing, usually when I wake up from the spookier ones I'm either on my back or fell asleep with a light on in my room.
>>
It would be interesting to do a poll and find out how many people here have sleep paralysis. There seem to be a lot of you.
>>
So the dream starts out in the house I lived in at the time it happened. The house had two stories plus a basement my parents turned into their bedroom. I'm in the living room and my parents are getting ready to leave but they are in a panic and are scanning for shoes and keys. I remember saying don't leave don't leave and them saying they have too. They give me food and tell me to wait it out downstairs. Then i watch them pull out of thee driveway and drive off. I'm super confused cause I don't know what's going on. I go downstairs and turn on the TV and start chilling and all of a sudden the TV turns off and all of the animals start freaking out. I go upstairs full on sprinting and I run outside and for some weird reason my family is there. I come out and my dad asks if I found out. My mom says yes and I ask what I found out. She says the things in the house. Then the dream went fuzzy like TV static and the next thing I see is my little sister start staring deeply into my eyes and mumbling. I'm really starting to freak out because whatever it was it wasn't her. I shake her and yell get out of my sister and she starts running down the street. I run after her and I get into the street and I start having things I can only describe as flashbacks even though they dudnt happen. It was of two shadow figures at a desk talking. I only made out my name before I woke up to a completely silent house sweating and crying. I don't know why it was so creepy but it was. Ever since then I've had nightmares once every couple of days but that nightmare was my first nightmare I can remember having for half a year. I don't know if smoking weed, popping pills and no doing acid would tie into this cause I was doing all of that and I quit three months before this dream. I know I'm everywhere with my explaining things and I kow the story is pretty shitty, bit I was super creeped out and I just want to know if it's a normal nightmare or if it means something.
>>
>>17351781
It's sleep paralysis, you can't 'turn it off' it happens while you're stressed usually, or overthinking something. Basically calm your shit and it'll end. Eventually.

hello 4chan i have been told to go to this side to ask about a dream I had few days ago. I wanted a second opinion before I go to a psychologist
maybe there is a deeper meaning.

i cannot remember the hole dream, but i try to tell the dream, as good as i can:

there was a woman naked standing in my front, she had no genital organs,
only her body shape resembles a woman,
her eyeballs are completely red and she bleeding out of them.
from their back, thousands of wings made out of black liquid, in the liquid was unimaginable many eyes. i feel a kind of cold to look at her,
I could not focus her face when I tried she disappear. she was by far the best looking human i ever seen (You Could say perfect).
she called me son, and then she said I have to find someone, they will help me
I was very scared at this point but I did not wake up.
after this I saw myself on a show sitting on a chair in front of a large audience
to my left a moderator, he smiling all the time.
he asks me questions I did not understand
I called for help and the audience began to laugh no matter what I said, it only got worse.
I was quiet, I'm trying to move Could not move backward or to the side just forward.
than the audience shouted at me "peacemaker", over and over again
louder and louder faster and faster
I could finally turn, and I saw behind me a thousand church, synagogue, mosque burning.
this was too much, I woke up, it just felt so weird.
I had many dreams but no one felt so weird.
weird dreams are normal for me, but this is the first time a dream feel strange to me
I had never seen so much fear. after the dream, I had a headache, my forehead burns.

what do you guys think, do I need help? I'm not a believer but very open minded.
Tomorrow I'll go to the doctor.

sry for my bad English i try as hard as i can to translate.
>>
>>17354955
There's no need to go to the doctor.

I often have dreams that predict events that happen the next day. But its always small things.

For example ill know specifically which episode I saw of a tv show, what songs will play in order on the radio, stuff like that.

This isnt even useful and nobody ive told believes me. What do?

I would like some thought on a dream if anyone has the time. My mom just called me and told me about a dream she had and I just wanted to share it and see if anything rings with anyone.

So my grandfather died a year or two ago and my mom took it pretty hard, she's a pretty emotional person. It's understandable though considering he raised her by himself for most her life. My mom was spending the night at my grandmothers (My grandfather remarried eventually) and sleeping on the couch which is something she never does 'cus it makes her uncomfortable. My grandfather always slept on the couch when he was a alive, never in his bed. He said it was because it was the only way he could sleep comfortably. I'm pretty sure it was because of his paranoia of certain things. He would wake up to the slightest sound even if it came from outside, like when I would try to quietly sneak off in the middle of the night. Just a little backstory, might be important, anyway...

In her dream my grandfather was still alive and everyone was hanging out in the living room. All of a sudden my grandfather starts cutting off the bottom of his foot (she said it was like he was taking off a slipper but it was his skin). When he took it off his foot looked like one of those anatomy poster, showing flesh and blood veins and such, but in the veins there were galaxies, planets and stars rushing by really fast. He looked at it and said "that's not right, I don't feel good" so she took him to a hospital. They told her he was dead and my mom freaked out arguing with the doctors saying she knew he was alive. When she ran back to see him though there was just this grey sleeping bag looking thing on the table. When just opened it he was curled up with his eyes open and starring off. She started yelling at him to get up 'cus he wasn't dead and without moving he said "I'm not dead, but I'm very tired. I just need to rest right now, but I'll see you soon." and then she woke up.

Thanks.

I had this nightmare once where I watched a nearby building go up in flames.I could see the flames, the smoke and even smell it. I saw people burning and collapsing like dolls and also saw some jump to their deaths. The screams were so vivid and clear that I still hear them at times.
Ironically that place has burnt thrice before. I kept looking out for another fire there but so far nothing has happened. Still hoping it stays that way, the death I saw that night was haunting.

A while back i was in foster care with an atheist and a jew (the reason i hate jews) the jew was verbally abusive and it led me to self harm and i became depressed. I left the placement and was finally put on anti depressents but 2 weeks afterwards i started experiedncing nightmares. The first was of her, the jew, she was yelling at me becoz i had self harmed because of her and i woke up in tears. After that i have been experiencing reacurring dreams. They arent material and happen during the day aswell when im spacing out. I had them as a kid too. The only way i can describe them is that its always a thick or thin strand. You need to rise above this shit and get on with your life. If everybody who was verbally abused killed themselves, the world would be empty. Make something of your life and show her she was wrong instead of letting her rule your life long after she stopped being involved in it.

I dreamt I was looking outside my large glass windows downstairs at a sunset, and I saw a cloud and it was falling out of the sky. It eventually hit the ground, causing dust to cover everything in a wave. I went outside and everything was like..sepia toned. And as I looked to my left,I saw a gigantic piece of popcorn, which was the cloud that fell I guess.

Dunno if anyone can help with this one. Had a dream that a being was speaking to me. The being looked humanoid in form, but his body looked like the universe, and his outline was glowing blue. He had no face but it was like rapid squiggly lines or something. Almost like when you wave around a glow stick really fast in the dark, but they were made f every color. He was friendly. He told me to sleep and travel to his realm. In the dream I went to sleep, and went through a dimension. Traveling through the dimension looked like the same lines I saw on his face. When I came into the next dimension I was in a large spherical white room with around 200 other people. There was no gravity, and people floated and flew freely. The being then handed me a large cube that was brownish in color. Like brass. He said that it was "The Black Codex" and that it belonged to me. It was like a large Rubix cube with 10 rows instead of your standard 3. Strange thing was, you could grab a corner and kind of flip it on itself through dimensions. Like 2 cubes existing at the same point at once. Hard to explain. It was very vivid. The language was alien but quickly turned to english. I can't stop thinking about it.

To answer about the first part, some people believe when you astrally project you are blue or give off a blue glow or are outlined in blue, just like you described. So maybe look into that.

I frequently experience dreams where I lose my teeth or have my eyes "gooed" shut.

The teeth just come off, if I wiggle them in my mouth, they fall and I spit them out. No pain. As for eyes, I go blind as the stuff you have seldom in your eyes during mornings slowly cover the eyes. Almost like glued shut and sometimes you think you can see a bit as you try and pull your eyes open but you cant.

Anyone got any ideas?

I just sort of skimmed this thread, but the dreams thst stick out the most to me are the 2 night terrors I've had and both involved doors.

First one the dream started out with me looking at myself and my friend sitting on my bed watching a movie. The view then slowly moved to where I could only see the tv and on the screen was an old cellar door. The door started to slowly open and all I could see in the crack was blackness. I woke up shaking so violently I ended up horizontal on my bed with my upper body hanging off. I was trying my hardest to scream but nothing came out. I was about 10 years old when this happened

The second one didnt happen til about 2 years ago when I was 25. From what I remember it was a normal bullshit dream until I was in the middle of a field under one of an awning/tent thing( not really sure what to call it. Top is covered the rest isn't.) The top of the awning was white and all of a sudden it turned black and started expanding down the poles closing me in. I turned my head and at this point it was black all around me except for a small doorway leading out. When I looked at the doorway I woke up screaming bloody murder flailing my body all over. This time I could actually scream. I dont remember it much but my fiance does since I gave her a black eye with my elbow.

Not sure what the whole thing with doors is and would love some insight. Also I have had plenty of precognitive dreams as well but one thing at a time

Most of my dreams always consist of really warm, extremely friendly or extremely intimate social interactions. It's to the point where I could probably learn to lucid dream just by doing a reality check at every pleasant interaction I have.

I love this, it gives me just one more reason not to try committing suicide again. It's just very depressing to wake up and realize that the heartwarming interaction that you thought was going to make life worth living, was nothing more than a dream

Basically to get to the point, is it possible I could be dreaming these situations as a way to compensate for some pretty large amounts of social isolation?

My dream self is stuck in the past.
My dream self still believes my parents are back together, that I'm still going through high school or college, that I'm still learning from past teachers. That being said, my dream self is throwing new elements from my life in like living on my own, working, the video games I overplay, etc.

I only seem to be at ease in the dream. It doesn't matter if there's something awkward or terrible going on.

>Exploding Head Syndrome
I'd never heard of this until this thread, googled it and was surprised to see that is the very name of it and how common it is, after reading what it actually is I can say for sure I have this quite often, can be slowly drifting off to sleep and will hear imaginary slamming doors or big noises like a crack or bang, sometimes its shouting or a child crying or something and it jolts me awake giving me heart palpitations.
I don't know if its related to my recently diagnosed sleep apnoea, I dont have my CPAP machine yet so don't know if that will help it.

When I was younger I used to have rather dramatic vivid dreams and a few times had lucid dreams where I felt like I was in the dream, sometimes even knowing I was dreaming.
Once I was stuck in a dream loop where I would wake only to be still in a dream, when I eventually did wake for real it took me a while to be convinced I wasn't still dreaming.

Also what is it with this picture, why have I visited this very place in my dreams and have memories of it?

anyone else know this feel of dread that just suddenly appears and turns every kind of dream into a complete shitfest of horror?
like the dream can be really normal and not scary at all but then out of no where you just feel kind of really dread feeling like a mix of complete void inside you with the knowledge that something horrible is going to happen soon.
and after getting this feel the dream goes into maximum overdrive terror.

As a kid I kept having a reoccurring dream where a girl came into view by walking up some sidewalk steps that led down a hill in our neighborhood. Then she'd be struck by lightning.

I suspect I may have some form of sleep paralysis or exploding head syndrome. I definitely have sleep apnea.

As a kid I remember a lot of times lying in bed feeling like there was a malevolent... thing somewhere above or besides me.

More recently, I had an experience where I thought a grey alien slipped into bed with besides while I was asleep.

I also thought someone broke into my apartment because I heard the sliding glass door open and someone shouting at me, but when I came to a few minutes later the door was securely locked and nothing was amiss.

Watch this for a scientific approach to some of the sleep disturbances many of us have.
This of course results in putting everything down to natural occurrences (albeit bizarre) but does not dispute or debunk all symptoms people have had.

Last night I had paralysis with accompanying auditory hallucinations when I tried to sleep, which is not unusual for me. What made this instance unusual, was the fact that usual feeling of unease during the onset of sleep paralysis was replaced with a feeling of peace, and the only memorable hallucination was a meek and feminine "Hello" coming from somewhere beside me.

Now, being the fool that I am, upon hearing this voice, attempted to politely respond to whatever was addressing me. Thus the spell of sleep paralysis was broken, and I awoke completely.

Later in the night, I dreamed about exploring a victorian style mansion. It was pretty mundane except for finding a mirror and suddenly remembering advice from /x/, "NEVER LOOK INTO THE FUCKING MIRROR". Upon remembering this information, I became lucid and decided to do the opposite of what /x/ suggested. My reflection was normal, except for a dark swirling mist behind me.
I decided to explore some more, eventually opening a door into a carnival style maze of mirrors, the dark mist appeared in every one of my countless reflections, slowly coalescing into a pitch black hooded figure before I woke up.

Fun night.

Slightly dream related. Always I sleep with my gf we tend to have nightmares and 2spooky dreams.

I have dreams frequently all tend to be rather odd and few are of myself, I tend to embody other people when I dream in places that I've never seen before.

One for instance I was in some town, particularly red bricked- german looking. I remember a tower being assaulted by tanks, chunks of it blown off. In particular I remember a woman at the top in a bathtub, dead. Her arm was laying out of the stark white porcelain tub contrasted by the red of her blood and she was slumped back, motionless.

The dream progressed into a second stage at a cornerstone, a butcher was there and was quite nice. I felt that he was my friend and he fed me soup and it was pleasant. He left for a moment and I looked at the meats he had set out in the shop, strips of bacon much longer than they should have been, the length of a woman's forearm.

Stage three I was with two or three other people, venturing downwards through an old sewer/catacomb of some kind. We came to a room with a pit in the middle, somewhat like a surgical observation area. In the middle was a steel operators table with a suit of victorian armor chained down to it. Its face was humanish, with certain features defined but it also had the makeup of a WWI gas mask.

The Dream ended after that.

I've got tons more, and I've written about the second segment if people want me to post. Got tons more dreams as bizarre if not more than that one.

Anyone smoke weed here?

I noticed that whenever I stop smoking weed, I dream much more frequently and the dreams are vividly real and more intense than normal.

Also, if I meditate before I go to sleep for about 20-30 min, I am also much more likely to have a dream, even if I have been smoking weed.

>>
>>17368892
Maybe, like I said though I have a lot of them and they are typically drastically different than others. They also tend to very surreal/unrealistic.

Why would a ghost want to talk with me anyways? I'm a professional poet so maybe he wants me to write about him?

Some more details I forgot to include: A woman in the group turned to me as I looked over the armor in the pit and said "An immortal man lives down there. You must go down." And the other two (men) agreed. I didn't want to go as it was already unnerving enough as it was.

The other night I was having a dream where I said to myself, "Hey the floor is slippery so I can do that thing I do in my dreams," Inside my dream, then I woke up a minute later. I'm convinced I will never be able to lucid dream, even with that awesome reality check.

Two easy things to start:
-Keep a journal of at least a basic description of all the dreams you remember and that will train your mind to remember more often and more detail as you keep it up
-Think about lucid dreaming and be excited for you dreams in the time when you drift off to sleep

If you haven't had anything exciting in a couple months, it probably is difficult due to your mind state, as it appears that basically everybody has the potential to lucid dream

Ok, so I was in some kind of trip with some kind of school to a very strange theme park.

All I remember is that is this theme park there was a little lake. This lake was surrounded by small skulls of very strange animals. The lake was dirty and very dark. There was something very wrong with that place.

So, a small lake surrounded by piles of little animal skulls. I don't know how to interpret this shit.

Old post, but if you're still here, this is pretty common and, in my opinion, not a paranormal thing. I hallucinate quite often after having an intense dream, usually something small and simple, like a big spider on the wall, but when you watch it, you notice it's just going up the same bit of wall over and over then it fades cause you're waking up. The weirdest was one time, I opened my eyes and saw myself standing there, freaked me out at first cause I thought it was someone in my room, but when I saw it was me, it didn't bother me. I was standing there, aggressively pointing at my sleeping self, but I just watched it for a few moments and it faded away.

I've had sort of a reoccurring dream thing for a while now

Most of the dreams start normal, but then it goes black and white. Everytime, a tall creature chases after the main character of the dream and it's implied that they are killed

An anon drew him once for me, but I have no idea if I still have it or not
The thing is really tall, and wears a doctors coat. He also has one of those masks on that sick people wear. His fingers are long and boney, and his skin is this light grey color

Hey /x/ i have usually 5 to 6 dreams a night that i can remember in very specific detail. I can draw the landscapes that ive been to as well as the characters i repeatedly meet. I have only recently learned to lucid dream at first i felt like i was on a pre destined track but after a while i could turn my head and do what i want. Soon after that i would explore to the edges of the landscapes and ask the characters things they didnt know. At first it would be like static but eventually it would have detail.

So my question is, is that static astraction? And when it developed detail my brain finally rendered the new details?

so the only question i have is this:
is it possible to have 2 (two) lucid dreams in a row?

i mean in the first one i had a physical response (this warm tinkling feeling in my head) that i always have in a lucid dream
BUT
in the second one i asked a question to a thing and received an unexpected answer (i asked if she was my ANIMA, and she said no but she said that i should go deeper if i want to see her)

so PLEASE if anyone EVER has had a positive (life-changing?) lucid dream experience i want you to answer me

I have a lot of death dreams. The most recent one I was in building kind of reminded me of a school. Was walking down a hall turned and look at an exit to my right think "I should go out this door" I don't. Keep walking get to a lobby and 5 or 6 guys break in the entrance heavily armed. One turns and shoots me with what looked like a shot gun. It hits me in the left side of the neck shoulder area. Had spread on it so it wasn't one solid hit. I fall back and sit against a wall. I can feel my body going into shock. I feel no pain just a huge pressure on my neck look down see blood gushing decide I dont have much time and I should text my family and let them know I love them. Look at phone and I have no minutes. Spend the last few seconds of my life typing out a text that I cant send.

In an older one I was standing in the middle of a 4 way intersection in my home town. There was sand everywhere for no reason. I am handcuffed and being read some rights or something that parts a little fuzzy. 3 big dudes in masks and trench coats hold me down and a 4th grabs me by the hair of the head puts his knee in my back and starts sawing at my neck. Felt a sharp pain in my neck and saw blood spilling but woke up pretty quick pretty terrified.

About 3 years ago I had a dream that perfectly fits Bernhards door.

https://m.youtube.com/#/watch?v=9wc_weiBeXQ

I dreamt I was a child in the old home I had grown up in. I wandered to the living room and found a door that should not have been there. It was creepy like the decripit cabin door in a cliche horror movie.lights shined through the cracks. It was difficult to open but when I opened it it revealed a flight of rotted wooden stairs that I then ascended. When I reached the top on a table was my sister's old cabbage patch doll. Its head turned towards me and it took on a sinister look with its eyebrows arching and its mouth contorting into a sneer. It then began to tell me that it had killed my parents and was going to kill my sister as well. I screamed and tried to run but its mouth opened into a black hole that began to suck the very fabric of the dream reality into it. As I got closer to the event horizon time slowed and I saw matter stretch. Finally I woke up.

But it was a couple of coincidences in the waking world that really frightened me.

Cont.
>>
>>17370677
So right after I awoke I heard a voice whispering. I couldn't make it out but the tone was very low and guttural.

That same next day while lurking /b/ I found a creepy thread with a post about Bernhards door. Reading it filled me with absolute terror. I've been an atheist and skeptic of the paranormal for a long time but the feeling of being marked by some kind of demonic presence kept haunting me and I had a very hard time during the following years.

I ended up forgetting the name of the dream phenomena and after searching for it for a while I gave up and even began to think maybe it was part of the dream until about 6 months ago when I found it posted again.

Has anyone else experienced a dream with Bernhards door? I've only found one other description of the dream experience from some guy on reddit.

I had this dream about a year ago. Haven't had it since. But, it's something that I keep thinking about.
Side note: When I dream I never see faces, but I usually know who said person is.
I was standing in a swamp-type location, on an "island". The sky was a light grey, and it was very foggy. Through the fog, I saw a vibrant green Willow tree.
Out of nowhere, this woman with long black hair is standing there with me. She starts walking towards the edge of the land, and into the water. I start freaking out. Try pulling her back to land, screaming, "Don't go in there! They'll get you!". She's not fighting me, but is persistent about going into the water. Nest thing I know, these fish people (pic related) come out of the water, and start pulling her in. We are having a tug-of-war with this woman, which I inevitably lost. She was taken into the water.
I black out, and when I "wake up" I find myself sitting in a little row boat underneath the Willow tree, with this very handsome man. Short black hair, dressed in ruby red attire, exactly like an old time prince. We are talking, and laughing, but I can't hear any of the conversation between us. Things turn serious, and I look down to find a revolver sitting in my lap, that I never had before. I raise it to my head, and pull the trigger. I can hear the bang. I'm still alive as I fall over the side of the boat. I can hear the splash. And then everything goes dark.
What could it possible mean?
>>
Today I had a pretty interesting dream. It was basically a series of false awakening with the usual dream signs electrical lights not working, digital clock not readable etc. each time I was sure to be awake until I awoken with my bed allocated wrongly in my room (recently I rearranged my furniture). I Instantly became enrage with the dream itself, I started to badmouth "him" as if the dream was sentient being and then, still raging, I sort of wished it to end. The world started vibrating and the dream emitted a piercing scream as of someone being killed/in pain. Then I woke up still hearing the scream for a split second

>Neck in a weird angle. Body facing upwards. Can't move, but with basic knowledge of this type of shit I try to calm down
> Notice a woman standing there, looking through the window and even moving the curtains to the side
> I remember clearly, she was faceless, wearing something I can only describe as a red nun outfit, black claws and constantly looking out the window. Surprisingly calming for a few seconds though
>Notices me staring
>fuckno.jpg
>Woman stares. Me stares back into woman, since I couldn't do anything else
>She starts getting closer to me
> "Well shit here comes the scary part"
> She suddenly retreats
> ???
> Goes back to the window, points out, looks at me
> Next thing I now It's a few moments of darkness, neck pains and the same light and everything I was seeing before, but obviously she's not there

Tried to relate this woman for years to a character that could have inspired my mind to create her, but nothing appeared. I even searched on Google for shits and giggles, but nothing similar came up.
If it reminds any anon of something, it would be fun to hear it.

About half my dreams are about me watching a movie or a TV show and of those about half of them contain the most beautiful scenery and plots I've ever seen.
The problem is I can never recall anything but very basic details, like "this one was a romance" "this one was a super-robot anime" "this one was a sequel to Aladdin"

How do you bring yourself out of a lucid nightmare? I've seen documentaries and read about it, but never experienced it myself until recently.

Seemingly out of nowhere, in the past two months, I've started having very uncomfortable lucid nightmares when I nap.

>Lying in my bed in darkened room
>Hear strange voices, someone shouting my name, knocking on the door, animal sounds
>Suddenly become uneasy
>Realize I'm dreaming
>Try to move, shout, anything,
>Can only manage to flop my hands
>Sinister shadow appears on the wall next to me - like a fucking jump scare out of a movie
>Terror so intense it feels like I'm being electrocuted or experiencing a seizure
>Feels like I'm lying there for hours, trying to scream for help and wake myself up while the shadow creeps up on me. .

It was very frightening, the pain felt real, I knew I was dreaming but I couldn't wake myself up or make it stop. How do I stop it from happening again? I've always had terrible sleeping habits, but this only just started happening two months ago.

Lately I've had some pretty intense experiences around my apartment complex. Some really weird, unnerving shit, but when I tried to talk it out with the one friend I know who even kind of believes in supernatural things, I had the following nightmare the next few nights.

Normal night, stay up till around 3, which is when I normally go to bed. When I get in bed my dog gets in and lies down next to me, I passed out pretty fast. It felt like a moment later I was awake, but not like I'd been startled awake, I was just awake as if I'd been laying there awake the whole time. There's this awful sound I can't really describe, like a loud, high pitched scream. I check the clock as I sit up, it's been an hour so there's no way I just sort of rolled over for a moment, I was dead asleep and then I felt like I was awake and as aware of my surroundings as I could have been. I turn and realize that the sound is coming from my dog who is sitting up and looking right at me, he's getting louder the longer I stare. I reach out to pet him or try to hush him and he just kind of shifts away out of reach and gets louder and louder, my eyes were watering my head felt like it was going to split. I dropped under the covers and covered my head with a pillow and started yelling for him to stop, my muscles all bunched up. Then, just as suddenly as it had begun, I felt like I was waking up, and my head was on top of the pillow instead of under it, I look over and my dog is next to me asleep on his side.

That happened the next two nights in a row, almost to a T in the details (the only thing different was the time I'd gone to bed), but each time it felt like it was a new experience until I woke up and realized it was just a dream.

Here's a question to lucid dreamers. I've been trying to do it for a long time without success. Is there a sleeping position that helps? I can't sleep on my back, it feels uncomfortable.

Oh, today I experienced some kind of hallucination while I was waking up. I saw one of my cats climbing to the higher shelf of my room. But it seemed so much bigger. Like larger extremities and larger neck. I tried to make a sound so it goes away(you know, cats like to do evil things in shelves) but I didn't, and then that cat just faded away just while I was watching. Like it dissolved.
I wasn't scared or anything, I know it wasn't sleep paralysis because I could move, I know I was awake. It was crazy, I couldn't say anything but "woah".
Oh, sorry for bad English!
>>
>>17372164
I get lucid dreaming followed by sleep paralysis literally everytime I sleep on my back, so there you go.

I agree with you, it's really uncomfortable, and I dislike having sleep paralysis, so I just sleep on my side all the time.
>>
>>17371633
What you're describing (not being able to move, sinister shadows etc.) is more likely a sleep paralysis induced nightmare.

Things that can cause sleep paralysis:
>Lack of sleep
>Stress or bipolar disorder
>Substance abuse
And like this anon mentions>>17372637
>Sleeping on the back.

It's generally a sign that you aren't sleeping well. Some anons say wriggling fingers and focusing on moving a specific body part can help you wake up and get out of it.

Losing teeth can also mean your subconscious is preparing for a change of some sort. When we lost our infant teeth it was the start of the road to adulthood and change.

i just had a realistic dream that i travelled to space with space suits etc and had a party there with my school even though i don't go to school and i didn't know anyone there besides one person what does it mean

What does it mean if you have a black and white dream of a picture of an alien and then it smiles and text beside it says ''THEY ARE WATCHING YOU'' and you wake up?

Guys I can't really remember my dreams. How do I fix that?
>>
i remember every dream i have and i dream every night. my dreams are usually split up into 5 or more separate dreams with an underlying theme, or message, or something in common. i will slip in and out of lucidity quite often. im usually lucid dreaming right before my next dream sequence. i just wanted to know if this is common for alot of other people, its not really the nature of my dreams that is concerning, its the fact that i dream every night without fail and remember almost the entire thing with maybe only a few bits and pieces left out. and i can usually recall the whole thing if i try. does this happen to anyone else and how normal is this???
>>
>>17374532
talk about the things that happened in your dream right when you wake up. even if your talking to yourself or a pet. i think relaying your dreams out loud is easier than trying to write them down and works very well.
>>
>>17354955
we need to talk. I think I've seen the same girl you have described. do you have a throw away email?? can you make one??
>>
>>17374532
Keep a dream diary.
It'll also help you becoming lucid.

Really really weird dream last night where I got a Frenchie and it let me carry it around like a baby,so I took it everywhere, including school. I named him Petey. So..I was back in high school. But the school was in like..this..straw beach shack kind of place. And Im having the normal experiences I usually do in my school dreams. Finding out Im in ridiculous classes that dont really exist, and trying to locate the rooms. So I go in to a few classes. I still have Petey with me. And at once point the bell rings(but i ddint hear it,I just saw all the kids get up and knew it was time to go). As Im leaving the room, the building starts to shake. I look down the hall way and someone says terrorists have attacked the building. Im walking down the hall now and I hear a woman screaming in one of the rooms that she cant get out. And theres a male student trying to open the door but he cant. And I can hear her screaming. So I run down the stairs to try to get out,and I can see areas of fire. I make it out and Im coming around the back when I see the entire top part of this straw building basically get sheared off in an explosion. As Im walking by,I see Sarah Palin sitting in a chair right where the building had been sheared, and her and some other girls laughing and talking about how God spared them and and how great it was. And I got really mad and saw one of the girls dads but I shrunk him down to the size of a stretch armstrong and literally tore his limbs off and threw him in a lake near the building just to get back at the girls for saying shit like that when other people had died. She was screaming out for her dad so it had upset her quite a bit. Thats basically all I remember. Oh,and somebody had saved my dog,so he was fine. And the woman in the room that died was Carrie Underwood. I heard someone talking about it later on.

Alright so the other day i found myself in a lucid dream taking place in a supermarket (god knows why), after realizeing i was lucid i go ape shit on everthing in the supermarket just for fun. As im breaking things everywhere i start to walk around and see my brother, some friends, essentially people i deeply trusted. My brother in specific called me over and sat me down and began talking to me. He wanted me to stay with everyone i trusted within that dream, this made me freak out because it felt like i wasnt really talking to my brother, like it was just a stranger who looked like him.

After he said that, I immediately felt a wave of fear and yelled for myself to wake up. But instead of waking up i went into sleep paralysis, which was very weird, its like whatever was in my dream tried their best to hold me down after i refused to stay.

It was a scary and weirs experience, but it was probably just a coincidence to get sleep paralysis after that lucid dream.

I had a dream a few months back. It was my first lucid dream that I recall. I was walking through kitchen against my own will and I just gaining control, as if I had snapped out of a trance. A couple people in the kitchen were arguing. I kept trying to get their attention and asking them if I was in a dream. I eventually gave up and went outside. My best friend was standing there motionless. I asked him if this was a dream. He turned to look at me with a straight face and proceeded to fly in to the air as if it was a normal thing. The dream only lasted about a half hour, but I can still remember how amazing it felt to know I was in a world without rules, just flying through a clear night sky.

Had a weird fucking experience a few days ago, from about 3:30 A.M. or 4:30 A.M. to 6:30 A.M. I woke up between 6-8 times. Each time I was asleep I had a dream, and when I woke up I could recall the dream. I checked my phone because it seemed like it would have to be forever between each time. Nope.

What the fuck was that?
>>
>>17376589
Dreams give you weird perceptions of time. An hour can feel like days or even seconds.
>>
Simply to state a couple weeks ago i overdosed on a medication and while at the hospital i hallucinated many odd things . Mostly were your normal day bs and silly things but one stood out after it all ended. So i was in the hospital bed and a weird girl with black hair walked in . She had dark black hair and pale skin , seeming to try and scare me it seemed. I wasn't realy scared so she just kinda giggled and left . She was also in a medical gown you would expect a mental patient to be in . I really don't know these things could mean anything but she kept playing with me while i was in the bed. Touching me and teasing me in a masochistic way . Then of course another girl comes in a redish hair and fucks with my iv . Like blood was poring everywhere and simply lets just say i learned many things about myself sexually from this somehow . I know kinda a drug related thing like this is not a dream but i thought maybe i should share it anyway on this thread . I kinda after that kept thinking about her and wanting to love her . She was so pretty even if it seemed she did not think the same. Maybe a demon or just at thing in my mind? I would never know but she kinda seemed like "the old hag" really .

but the fact that I could recall the content of each dream, and had that many dreams in such a short period of time... it doesnt make any sense

Besides the weird prophetic dreams everyone gets, I have dreams all set in a singular world.

Different regions of the same world. It's really weird. I mean, the place is constant. I visit different parts of the world but my dreams are always in this world. I revisit parts often.

I also had a weird dream once that I never forget. It was after I was having these dreams in the strange world. I was led to believe this world is where I came from in those dreams. Before Earth, I was there.

Anyway, this one dream I was on a hill with a traditional red barn. It was dark out. Completely dark, no stars. No moon, yet I could see as if there were a full moon out. All around the base of the hill was corn and fog, as far as the eye could see. It felt like it went on for eternity and it was vaguely sinister. I felt that I should stay on that hill. I saw a sign above the barn doors that said Harko. the doors would not open something made me think it wasn't really a barn, or even a hollow building, but a solid object. I walked around to the back of the barn. And floating above the ground was a round silver tube, twisted and contorted. One end was at my face level and hollow. In that black hole I saw two huge round pupil-less red eyes and a smile made of shark teeth. Like a cartoon prankster. It spoke into my mind without moving. First, images of the world I dream of flashed in my head. And then It said in Cherokee "It's all real."

I'm Cherokee but I haven't spoken Cherokee since I was a very young child. But somehow I could understand it.

And with that, I awoke.

Rarely remember my dreams but the one consistent thing is that I am able to fly. Every dream I lose my ability of flight and end up really depressed. I then wake up and have great difficulty falling back asleep.

Like I said, perception of time. You remembered everything because everything happened in only a few hours, even though it probably felt like days.

I had a very strange vivid dream last night, it was just so weird.

I was running from the police in some city on Japan I think? Anyway, I escape by jumping into this pond, and the current swept me away about 100 -200ft from the road I was running on. I then see these Cypress trees in the water each surrounded by marsh roughly 4 ft in diameter. I kept trying to set foot on the marsh but it wasn't solid enough. I finally found a solid platform I could stand on, and across me stood a big hill with some giant loft built into it, it had a garden, fence, all that shit. I was gonna go over and politely ask where I was and how I could get home. So for some reason I start sinking into the ground up to my waste. I manage to get out, I dig up the loose soil and find a very small satchel. I look inside it and see credit cards, gift cards, and a little cash, I assumed it belonged to whoever lived in that loft, but for whatever reason I decided to runaway with it. Which meant I had to find my own way. I go west of the hill onto an even bigger platform of land, and I'm wearing a gas mask and a trench coat (probably because I've been watching a lot of Durara!) I hear these kids of who I assume owned the house playing, asking who that strange man was (me). I manage to hide in the corner of this small wall made of rubble, but it was too late. They already knew I had the satchel, so instead of just giving it to the owner like a normal person would, I decide to try running away again. When I come out of the corner I see the children and their mom wearing these white masks, and it scared the shit out of me. Not because it was spooky scary, but because it totally caught me off gaurd.

Pic related, it's a Cypress tres.

So waddya think this means anons?

I've been having these weird re-occuring dreams that I'm in some mashed up highschool/supermall/college/arcade type place. There's elevators, escalators, shops, and classrooms. All the students seem to either be in college or highschool. Everytime I have the dream the weird mecca mall/highschool type place is different. I think it might just happen because I'm at school a lot and applying to college.

What do you think anons?

It's your dream it has no real world interpretation - it's highly personal and has to do with your ideas, hopes, obsessions, memories.

Can anyone give me a quick explanation to why first of all, I went Into a lucid dream a while back and blah blah shit went south I yelled take me to wonderland and fell into a hole. I heard soft rock music and my head was narrorating the transfer to wonderland when it said I realised I was slowly dying. I felt my soul begin to complely detach from me but I freaked out and woke up. A couple days after that I went into sleep paralysis and opened my eyes to see the devil or a demon of sorts in my little brothers room. He was just staring at me grunting and gigglin and my ear drums began to vibrate and ring super loud as he approached with death's trademark scythe I managed to wake up before being struck with it that time too.
Please help me, is death getting near??

In my experience dream checking is the most important element. Try to do it whenever you're about to start something or decide something. "What should I have for breakfast.. hold on, first, am I dreaming?" and similar.

It's pain in the ass at first, but it fucking works.
>>
I have this weird reoccurring dream format so to speak, I have dream a mundane scenario or social activities and every time it would become silent like people would finish talking or I would finish a task of some sort, then I'd look out to the horizon and see an explosion/bright light.

Everyone is calm, even if I'm alone I'm incredibly calm considering what I'm looking at but the thing is later on in the week or month I'd experience the scenario I'd dreamt about in real life, even to the point where I'd know what my friends would say before they even say it.

I mean I honestly don't believe that i can predict things, I just try and be rational and chalk it up to deja-vu, while trying not to let it freak me out.

Sometimes I see the same dreams, most of which I even saw in childhood, sometimes some of my dreams continue in next dream. The thing is that they are super realistic and almost always nightmares.
Last night I got this dream, that really bothers me: I was living the same live over and over again, and couldnt escape the cycle...
I always had this deja vus, even in childhood. There was a time when I was really scared from this. I was planning to kill myself last year, but didnt... Always felt like theres some ghost of a woman on/in my old wardrobe. Dont even know why I typed this. Am I slowly losing my mind?
