I found this really strange radio signal when I was shortwave listening at 6765khz LSB last night, it creeped the fuck out of me.

Anyone care to explain?
>>17341738
spooky. well it sounds like a number station.
>>17341743
Yeah that's what I thought.
Anyone find the source of the lullaby/music box thingy playing? It reminds me of Swedish Rapsody
At the end there kinda sounds like Japanese or some Asian language
>>17341738
Definitely a number station. Definitely an asian dialect. Where does OP live?
>>17341750
Does the tune play on the station constantly?
>>17341786
It didn't until I was in IRC and they said it was broadcasting some creepy ass music box
Then it was garbled talking and back to static for the next few hours
Creepy shortwave thread?

UVB-76 just broadcasted this morse code message
>>17341796
You haven't made the sound bite yourself have you? Same goes to >>17341801
>>17341816
Nope, it was just broadcasted a few mins ago at 6998khz
>>17341816
OP, no I didn't. I wouldn't be able to replicate the static or any of that shit, so believe me it's legit.
Spooked me
>>17341823
Well I do kind of believe you but I mean you could have replicated the static pretty easily
>>17341823

The low pich sound that go on and off, sounds like a cargo ships alram going.
at 40- 50 (seconds) in the file you can nearly hear seagulls, proof that a ship is broadcasting this message.
>>17341801
Has anyone translated the morse yet? What does it say?
>>17341968
Someone sends this to someone that can decipher. Chances are it's trans. Info.
>>17341883
Seriously, nigger? The ship horn sound has been playing forever and UVB-76 was proven to at one point have been near Povarovo in inland Russia
>>17341801
To my recollection ubv 76 has never transmitted a morse code. One could assume that either it's an urgent message or one of low priority. Still though, number stations usually transmit on in coded cypher. Would be awesome if someone could decode that.
>>17341760
It's Vietnamese.
Saying something about "kilohertz", usually number stations are supposed to be a bit more esoteric. But it's Vietnam, maybe being too hard on the nose is how they roll for "intelligence" work.
>>17341738
Sounds like a number station to me op, i haven't heard those in a while
bump
Does anybody know the name of the song?
>>17341738
chinks doing chinky shit
>>17341738
sounds like the japanese OHK learning song
Im pretty sure OP has just created a number station sound audio bite in some DAW
>>17342541
I like how you felt the need to say they did it in a DAW.
What else would they have done it in?
>>17342485
nvm, its not that https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=_XR1TiqV_D8
I'm urged to incorporate this clip into a song but don't know how :c
