For every 3 digits you see, there's a 1/1000 chance of seeing 111, which might seem like a small chance but thing of how frequently you see numbers grouped together.

Also it's much more likely in certain instances, like looking at the time in the afternoon, and looking at room numbers on a first floor.

Nah you're not losing it though. The same thing happened to me for years and it spread to a couple of my friends too. Then one day, one of said friends was over dicking around on the internet and decided to look it up. Turns out that it's a whole... thing. It's happening to millions of people and there are just as many insane theories about it. There was even one that had a huge following that claimed that "111/1111" was some magical gate that was going to open on 1/11/2011 or 11/11/2011. There's also groups out there that think that it means we're "chosen" by number gods and this is their cue to us, triggering us to wake up.

No idea how people come to these conclusions but for me and my circle of friends, the 111 was always a bad thing. The way it would present itself almost seemed impossible at times too. Got a bunch of stories and even some images saved from years ago.

The shit that's on the internet is craziness and not a single person explains how they came to their conclusions. It's shit pulled out of thin air. You can try to pray or make any wish you want when you see but it won't result in anything. You'll see it for years and years and then it just stops and you haven't learned a damn thing from it, if there was even something to learn.

Your experiences will undoubtedly be different from my own but ignoring it was not a possibility for a long time. I'm telling you, impossible things would happen that are just too goddamn convenient to be a coincidence. I'll never forget some of these incidents and they would send a chill through me when they happened. It totally fucks with your perception of reality and the fact that it's a globally spread phenomenon makes it that much harder to cope with sometimes. Gotta say though, I do miss it.

Been seeing this for a couple of years now. It drove me crazy trying to figure out what it meant. Everyone who experiences this seems to have their own interpretation of what it represents or are on this mission to figure it out. Im a bit indifferent about it now, even though I see it from time to time. One thing I have learned about seeing 11's, especially on days where I see it more than usual, is that it usually precedes a very bad event. When I see it, I know to be exceptionally careful, aware of my surroundings and if I am drinking I cut it down to a minimum. On the days I ignored it, I would end up getting into some nasty fights with my gf (now wife) or I would end up doing to stupid regrettable shit. Lots of times I would also see it when big changes were coming into my life that were both good and bad like getting a better job, dui, marriage. Don't let it be the center of your life, it really isn't that big of a deal. Don't completely ignore it either, it could have some usefulness to your life.

Yeah I have the same thing with seeing AA on license plates, which weirds me out because of the AA in my first name.
