he didn't get along with her very well but there was a ton of stress on both of them because he had a lot of problems that he refused to get help for. i never heard anyone call nancy psychotic or a doomsdayer so i'd need a source to address that. still, nancy made mistake after mistake because she was coddling him rather than making him face his fears. i believe that on some level he knew his mom was not good for him because she overprotected him and that's why he lashed out at her. aside from that, they were both doing their best but he was very socially impaired. the attached pic gives some insight into that and i personally find it very sad.
