looks like selenite. it's pretty and very fragile, don't get it wet. good for dealing with nightmares and racing thoughts. supposed to be very cleansing and pure. in wand form - which it looks to be kinda - it's good for clearing the body's energy field. just meditate with it, it's nice and it's not supposed to hold onto 'negative' stuff and require regular cleansing like say, quartz does. so it's ok if your friend used it or whatever.

On a purely physical-plane note; you have to be careful with any kind of obsidian. It can look smooth and polished, but have a tiny nick or flaw in it and if you run a finger over it you get cut. The tiniest flaws can harbor startlingly sharp edges.

I have an enchanted sword from the Philippines. It has been formally passed down from owner to owner to me. It's enchanted to kill more effectively, and been used on the battlefield. It's also said to be cursed, in that it is said to have drawn the blood of every one of its owners. The last owner didn't quite believe that part, as they only had it for a short time to formally pass it on to me. They passed it to me and then kind of scoffed at the curse saying they hadn't cut themselves with it (not like they'd ever hardly held the sword, like I said, a formal intermediary), and then after passing it to me, they proceeded to cut themselves not once but twice just minutes later. ha. pic related but not the exact sword of mine.

I have two of these weird old dolls in my closet.
They was my sister's or something. It doesn't really creep me out, but it's not particularly fun to see.
I close the closet door when I sleep just because of it's existence. Too off-putting.
