What kind of interesting objects does /x/ either have, want, or know of?
Things like ritual implements from various religions, cults, secret societies, etc or gem stones, or alternative medicinal supplies what-have you, post them here.
I've personally always wanted something made of orgone, and an actual blessed Hindu murti (probably of either Vishu or Ganesh).
I'd tell you some but orgone is bullshit. It's distracting from real, comprehensive magical systems with lol cloudbusters.
Right now I just carry my Buck 110 folder on my belt daily.
Theres nothing paranormal about it, I just take solace in knowing its there and Im prepared for anything. I really feel out of place without it.
Just ordered some tibetan prayer beads, and have various christian necklaces in my room that I don't wear or even look at often.
Sorry for shit phone camera.
Various silver rings and other objects.
Set of runes, a crystal ball, and a ghost detector.
My /x/gear. Minus a few boring crystals. Anybody know anything about that crystal bar on the bottom of the pic? It was left at my place by an ex roommate. He was just into LARP so I don't think it was ever used in any real rituals.
looks like selenite. it's pretty and very fragile, don't get it wet. good for dealing with nightmares and racing thoughts. supposed to be very cleansing and pure. in wand form - which it looks to be kinda - it's good for clearing the body's energy field. just meditate with it, it's nice and it's not supposed to hold onto 'negative' stuff and require regular cleansing like say, quartz does. so it's ok if your friend used it or whatever.
Seer Stones/Ema Eggs
>Should be lines in the top of the skull where the plates knitted together.
"Sagittal suture – the squiggly line that runs the length of the skull – and note whether is it's completely fused. If it is, the remains are likely to be of someone older than 35. Look for a second line at the front of the skull -- the coronal suture – which fully fuses by age 40."
Fun Science Fact: If your dad is a doctor you don't magically inherit his knowledge!
I also have large chunk of obsidian that I rockhounded in some distant mountains in Northern California from where I live, in the morning I'll post some pic.
Pic of my old Alligator skull.
Couldn't find my baby teeth, will keep looking. Found my old chalice a friend gave me years ago though. My old fossils and some other shit too
I got this, presumably used in the kali cult but probably tourist shit. I used to know a guy that went to india every year and brought back that kind of things to sell.
My roommies got fucking DOZENS of gemstones, he's a certified crystal healer or some other shit. Only thing kind of like that I own is an obsidian panther that makes me feel genuinely fuckin sick if I'm holding it/near it for longer than 10 or 15 mins.
>Only thing kind of like that I own is an obsidian panther that makes me feel genuinely fuckin sick if I'm holding it/
On a purely physical-plane note; you have to be careful with any kind of obsidian. It can look smooth and polished, but have a tiny nick or flaw in it and if you run a finger over it you get cut. The tiniest flaws can harbor startlingly sharp edges.
I have all sorts of /x/ things, from Tibetan skull necklaces like ones already pictured here, to monk-enchanted/blessed Tibetan statues of deities and monsters, all sorts of occult stuff...
I have an enchanted sword from the Philippines. It has been formally passed down from owner to owner to me. It's enchanted to kill more effectively, and been used on the battlefield. It's also said to be cursed, in that it is said to have drawn the blood of every one of its owners. The last owner didn't quite believe that part, as they only had it for a short time to formally pass it on to me. They passed it to me and then kind of scoffed at the curse saying they hadn't cut themselves with it (not like they'd ever hardly held the sword, like I said, a formal intermediary), and then after passing it to me, they proceeded to cut themselves not once but twice just minutes later. ha. pic related but not the exact sword of mine.
I've got an acrylic cube with a seahorse inside of it. One off those things you would get as a souvenir from Florida in the nineties. My aunt convinced me that when you weren't looking, the seahorse would swim around.
Also have some other stuff in an old shoebox, I can take pics.
I've been searching my room for these two, the one on the right - I found in my house one day unexpectedly and still to this day do not know where it came from. Lefty, I found on the ground at a Pirate Festival my friends begged me to come with them.
I collect semi-precious gemstones, like raw quartz, amethyst, Ruby, aventurine, pyrite, lapiz Lazuli, agate, garnet, fluorite.....
Howbeit the most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands; as saith the prophet,
Heaven is my throne, and earth is my footstool: what house will ye build me? saith the Lord: or what is the place of my rest?Hath not my hand made all these things?
why is obsidian considered magical or spooky?
Ive got heaps of it sitting around outside.
also regarding sharp edges, this anon is correct, its capable of what is literally a monomolecular edge, it can open you up like you had a zipper, youll barely even feel it before youre bleeding.
I don't have much that's 'spooky', but have my bones and two of my dolls. I don't really feel like digging out the other 12 dolls at the moment.
I used to have two of these (my father has them so cant give you the real pics) when i was a kid, one hade some runes and sea creatures on it (cant rember what probably a whale and some fishes) the other one hade a whaleing ship catching a whale etched in it
its a whale tooth btw
I have two of these weird old dolls in my closet.
They was my sister's or something. It doesn't really creep me out, but it's not particularly fun to see.
I close the closet door when I sleep just because of it's existence. Too off-putting.
As you can see, one of them appears to be Native American or something, and the other is ... I don't know, really.
they are american girl dolls, my aunt got my sister and I those same ones when I was a kid (at least the native one for sure) I gave mine to my sister because I thought is was ugly af and I hated dolls.
Nothing spooky about those stupid things at all. They came with a gay ass book and they sucked.
