I saw on a BBC Horizon doc that if you put someone in a room with red lights and tell them to come out when a minute has passed, they will come out on average after 52secs. In a blue lit room they will come out after 1minute 8secs or so.

It indicates that light is linked to perception of time. Perhaps due to the physical wavelength of the light you're interacting with, or maybe due to the emotional connotations people are likely to have made with those colours.
