It's not about scientific thought it's about what's possible and what isn't.

Time is a measurement scale, not a linear dimension that you can travel on/through/along/whatever. Time doesn't move, and we don't move through time. It's a tool. There is no back/up/down/forward/diagonal or whatever the fuck direction you want, through time.

Time is change. Things change state, we measure the state and create a linear model of the various changes. There is no going "back" to a previous state.

It's incredibly hard for us to describe time without using directions and tense. This is where people fuck up.

Grammar isn't evidence. Many different cultures have different methods of speaking about time. If you think people can't disassociate concepts from the grammar that's used to convey them, then you really have no appreciation for the human intellect. Either that or you're an absolutely horrid communicator and you've never experienced a situation where rephrasing yourself to pander to someone else's understanding resulted in them suddenly getting a very complex concept.

No, grammar doesn't create cognitive biases that prevent rational discussion. That literally only happens with Schizophernia and other world salad generators. Your assertion that:

Is meaningless and lack any authority whatsoever. It's not something you could physically know at all.

You can't experience time being non-traversible.
