Why are certain drugs considered paranormal, but alcohol isn't?
I've had some fucked up experiences while drinking liquor.
>>
Alcohol is legal.
>>
>>17198882
I'm smoking some alcohols right now. Love me some alcohol
>>
>>17198882
what's 'considered' is just an opinion OP
if you have a different opinion, you shouldnt really give a fuck about what's 'considered' what
alcohol caffeine weed and acid are all drugs
>>
>>17198882

google Dionysus you uneducated pleb.
>>
>>17198889
It hasn't always been.
>>
No drugs are paranormal, though some may open you up more to paranormal experiences.

If you say alcohol does this then I will believe you

>Although alcohol is a poison so I would recommend everyone to stay away and do drugs that are actually worth doing, like weed and stronger psychedelics.
>>
>>17199019
pretty much all drugs are technically poisons
>>
>>17199168
Not really, though I'm sure alot are

However most psychedelics have zero negative effects aside from tripping to hard so I wouldnt classify it as a poison like I would alcohol which will shut down your organs leading to death if you drink to much.
>>
>>17198882
Because it's more of a social drug, which lowers your inhibitions and puts you in the moment by dulling your senses or thoughts, and less of an entheogen or even hallucinogen, which puts you more in your own head and intensifies your senses or thoughts to point of being lost in them.
>>
I'm usually pretty drunk when I'm here.
>>
>>17199254
Lol me too..Let the good times roll lol
>>
>>17199254
I do that a lot too. Sometimes I get blackout drunk and write a bunch of posts that I don't remember writing and then find them unexpectedly in the morning. That's always entertaining.

It has been since before the creation of this board.
Consider this opinion discarded.

OP, chemical imbalances will always remain an integral part to questioning not authority, but the experience of which an authority is there to try and control. Honestly, I think it is more tied to being paranormal that the currently existing chemicals, when used respectively to highlight parts of our minds, are ILLEGAL. Despite scientific research being made that is more prevalent towards their positive uses in many fields for humanity, it will remain unallowable to let the populace access these mind-altering cocktails.

All because it does not fit the AGENDA. The agenda that has kept you asleep, the agenda that will keep you enslaved. Continue to deny it, and it only shows obedience. So be a good citizen, and keep your head down. It's better when we're submissive to a variable which does not seem to have any other competitors in terms of addiction - currency. My hat is off to you, Federal Reserve.

Having a trippy experience on drugs isn't paranormal

Shrooms are literal poison so is the beloved acid, your body tries to get rid of it as fast as it can. It's not really that welcome here.
And they do have negatives, they are actually addictive as fuck.
In the end they all have their +-

>they are actually addictive as fuck.
nope.avi

the negative side of shrooms/lsd is mind loops and panic attacks, (also flashbacks)
>>
>>17198882

Usually a large quantity of liquor and a bathroom mirror will trigger me into communing with persons long dead in my ancestry, I look hard into my own pupils and study features of my countenance and suddenly I'm talking to myself as a Roman or an old Briton or a sailor.

Something about the liquor makes their responses come from somewhere else.

Pic related, King knew the kinds of things that could happen to your mind when you lucidly drink

You get addicted to the state that seems way more magical and intuitive then your daily state.
People get obsessed with trying to come back there as often as they can and these trips become your meaning of life.
I know because I'm addicted to acid.

It can also fuck your serotonin receptors right up senpai

You can be psychologically addicted to hallucinogens. I've known people who were mentally dependent on weed or shrooms.
>>
Alcohol is paranormal. A lot of spirits ask for alcohol as an offering.

>>
>>17198882
Alcohol aka spirit, it takes control over you, let you see things from his perspective, then you can return again and learn from it.
>>
>>17200245

No, sorry, i dont think that it does. Most drug research doesn't use these terms; they arent as helpful or clear-cut as youd think. Instead, its about which neurochemicals the drug effects, and how.
>>
>>17203483

what does mentally dependent mean when we're talking about mushrooms? Physically, you can't really double dose in day and expect to feel the same affects. So even if this person is eating upwards of 5 dried grams and going comatose for a few hours, the next 5 dried grams aren't going to hit half as hard.

So are these people you know micro dosing 1-2 grams every day all day? Because that'd be quite a waste of mushrooms. Do these animals even eat them on an empty stomach?

Tell those dipshits to go deeper. I'm betting if they did it right they'd get chewed up and spit out so hard they wouldn't be "dependant" on some fucking fungus.
>>
>>17203815

Not the same guy, but we can be psychologically addicted to almost anything, food, porn, tv, adrenaline, the gym, etc.
>>
>>17198882
I put spell on you, bottle of mine! Yeaaaah, Red Omen!
>>
>>17203840

Never argued that it wasn't possible. I wanted some details from the guy. How high are these people getting, what are the doses and how frequent. I really don't see someone getting addicted heroic doses of mushrooms. Then again people have fried their brains on psychedelics, I always just assumed they were on a cocktail of drugs that lead them to that.

There's been clinical studies indicating that dmt, fungus, molly and citrus all help people get over trauma and depression.

my sex addicted cousin would benefit from a good dose of mushrooms but she'll never eat them because of the social stigma.

If magic was commonplace, it would cease to be paranormal.
>>
>>17198882
Aside from DTs, who ever hallucinates from alcohol? The joke that if grandma seen a ufo, she must be hitting the bottle again has almost no basis in reality.

Maybe methonol or wood alcohol could cause it, but you'd go blind and die shrekly afterwards.

>>17205796
> shrekly afterwards

The first time I ever smoked pot, my friends loaded up a big old bowl of essentially straight keif (I'm not sure if this is standard terminology, so to be more specific, it's the left over granuals of essentially pure thc that are left over when you use a grinder. And that particular grinder was only used for really, really high quality stuff) to supercharge my first experience.

Long story short, I started seeing the same conversations play out over and over again. It also felt like things around the room were zooming in and out.
The craziest part was when my friend drove me home, I started feeling really sick, and was basically counting the moments until I was back home safe.
The exits on the way from a certain point basically went 700, 650, and then the exit for my street, 5600.

I saw the "next exit 700" sign in the distance and sighed in releif that I wasn't much further from home.
Then I saw another 700 exit sign and though "good, now it's just 650 and I'm basically there.
Then I saw, in the distance, another 700 sign.
And then, almost too soon after that, yet another exit sign.
And wouldn't you know it, it too said 700.
Suddenly, there was a constant stream of 700 signs, as soon as one would pass, I could just make out another, exactly the same as the one whizzing past.
Over, and over, I watched in horror as a barrage of impossible signed passed me by.

I immediately lost my shit.
I called out to my friend "holy shit, what exit did we just pass!?"
He said "hold on"
I could see yet another 700 sign pass
"DUDE!"
Another one
"Hold on"
And other one
"WHAT FUCKING EXIT IS THAT!?"
In the distance I could see the number 700 once again, until I heard him say "650" and it changed to 650 as it finally passed

The remainder of the card ride was pretty normal, although I felt completely exhausted and terrified after that whole ordeal.

I've pretty much never had an experience with weed like that ever again, but ill never forget that night.
>>
People attribute supernatural qualities to things they don't understand, and everyone understands alcohol.
>>
>>17201784
there's a difference between psychological addiction and physical addiction
u r dumb and deserve to lose all ur brain cells if you can't stop being psychologically dependent on of all things acid lmao.
>>
>>17203815
i've been reading a lot on micro dosing and people who are depressed seem to benefit from it along with taking an ssri. wouldn't say it's a waste of mushrooms unless you're a cheap fuck.
>>
>>17205889
I had a similar experience ine of my first times. One weirdness was me walking up a hill, I look to the side and notice I'm walking but not moving there's just head movement up and down, WTF? I get really uneasy, I look straight ahead and try too walk faster. Pheff everything's back to normal, but then I look to the side again and I'm in the same place I was before. Somehow a friend snaps me out of this ,I automatically start performing some dance and rap. Then after about 6 hours I'm still tripping and it's time to take the buss home. The route goes through a forest in which there's a bus stop, at the begining the ride seems quite normal until we enter the forest. I kept passing through this only stop about 7 times it just felt like we're going in circles. One of the scariest experiences in my life, back then I was just an innocent kid, now that I'm full /x/ this kind of stuff is just a cool little mindfuck .
>>
>>17199213
Most psychedelics just mess your chemical balance in your brain -in ways that are not harmful but that doesn't mean it activates a paranormal potential in your head, it's just that you shift your perception into a way it's not natural and that you were not used to.
>>
Anything that effects your perception/state of mind is a drug
