For this being /x/, I'm seeing a surprising absence of flashlights (>>17186960 has one and I can't tell with the pile in >>17185702).

Are people somehow using their phone (I know there are flashlight apps, but are they decent?), or are we in before dark, or are we just comfortable with it? I feel like this is an intriguing question.

I carry pic related (no I'm not shilling for Energizer, I just don't have a camera). I like it because it's oval rather than round, so it's small enough to be convenient without being too small to handle. My last job had me looking inside machines fifty times a day, I can't see it as anything but essential equipment. If I'm actually going out at night, and there isn't moonlight, I'll take the D-cell Maglite.

Yes I actually do carry a pistol on me daily. What pistol i happen to carry depends on the day and whay I'm wearing. Ha I call it accessorizing.
The Glock 36 is an awesome carry pistol and I can actually slip it inside a jacket pocket and be on my way. I must add though, I do "Mexican carry" a lot. Meaning I carry without a holster. It's frowned upon but I do not have to have a holster to legally carry in the stage in which I currently reside.

i have one on me cause it has proven to be pretty useful in everyday situations. i work as a barkeeper so opening wineboxes etc is easier. gf has a piece of string hanging from her bag or something? no prob
and i am afraid of going home at 3 am after my shift and running into a group of sandnigs. cause those showed up some time ago

I carry a knife too. I understand that you use it with care or even baby it, but every EDC thread has loads of brandnew knives in it. Tacticool black coated knives with no wear, etc. Only people with a SAK or Leatherman posts pics with used knives it seems.

A brand new gun is a brand new gun. But I see pics here that were posted on /g/ and /k/ and those dudes own guns with at least 3 clips, all unused. I really hope you don't have to use your gun often, that would be bad, but some practice and handling would already cause more wear than those guns show.
