As far as I understood OP is from Poland and we (slavs) have a little bit different interpritation for runes. So according to russian studies it's protection for animals (or human). In russian mythology pine is a "tree of dead, it drinks your energy good or bad", so I think, that the person who carved this runes wanted this tree to take all the desease (don't know how to write this word) from his domestic anumals.
