Hello,

I am here only to share the truth. I will answer any serious and coherent questions you might have. If you are not willing to learn the answer, do not ask the question.

If you tell me that I am wrong about something and "statement here" is the truth, I have most likely believed it before and found that to be a lie.

Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, 10And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: 12That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. - 2 Thess 2

Jesus predicted that he would return in their lifetimes.

He specifically told the high priest he would see God coming in his kingdom.
He said the current generation would not pass away before he returned.
>>
>>17178122
What did you dream?

>>17178124
When Jesus comes back the dead in Christ rise from their graves. That is what He spoke about.
>>
>>17178116
Every generation of Christians has sworn up and down that they're the last one. People have been crying "the end is nigh" for over 2,000 years.
>>
>>17178134
And? Certain things have to happen before the end. You put too much stock in what people say and not enough in what the Bible says, clearly.
>>
>>17178133
"Truly I tell you, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom."

It's clear from the rest of the NT that the writers believed Jesus would be coming back soon, after-all he said he would.
>>
So is everything practically made to worship the devil? at this rate even fucking life will be said to be a way to worship the devil.
>>
>>17178146
First of all, read the KJV. That is the only true Bible.

Second of all, when you get saved, you do not die. Your bodies dies, but not your soul. A common saying is, born twice, die once, born once, die twice. Dying twice = your body and your soul dies, in hell.

This is what He is speaking of. At the second coming, the dead IN CHRIST like I said, will rise from their graves. All will see Him.

>>17178169
Yes, satan wants worship. He does not need gold or anything else. He just wants worship, which eventually leads you to hell and there is no escape from that once you're there.
>>
>>17178175
>First of all, read the KJV. That is the only true Bible.

also, expain this one?
>Truly I tell you, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened. (The 2nd coming of Jesus)

God specifically promised in the Bible he would never flood the earth again.

You were given a lie but a demonic entity.

Satan is the king of this physical world so yes, in a sense is living and loving this physical world a form of worship to Satan.
>>

I already explained it. If C.S Lewis believed Jesus was God, he would never say that. You can believe me and my very Biblical explanation of what I said, or you can believe C.S Lewis.
>>
>>17178218
dude, no, Jesus said the current generation would not pass away. He is specifically talking about the current generation.

Also, how do you know the Gospels are inspired works? There's no evidence to even show who wrote them. How did the writer of Luke know that Joseph had a dream? Did he go interview Joseph?

How do you explain the genealogy mismatch between Matthew and Luke? They both contain the lineage of Jesus but are completely different in the overlapping areas.

Dude, did you even read the whole thing?

Jesus is speaking to people about the future and telling the people then, that generation in the future will not pass away. Read Matt 24 all the way through.

That's like me telling you about the future and telling you that the generation will not pass away when you see the moon turn to blood.
>>
>>17178239
God does not want to get rid of humans, God wants to save us from our sin, from satan.

Watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WDEBz25lGdY

If you ask Jesus to save you from your sins, He will save you. Pray to Him and ask and you will go to Heaven.

>>

>>

I don't do questions you can just google and find the answer for in 30 seconds.
>>
>>17178267
that link is pure speculation.

Why do you believe the gospels are inspired works, other than a bunch of catholics decided to vote on it 2000 years ago?

If you deny the catholic church, why do you trust them to be truthful about the source of their documents?

>People that can't be bothered to do any research on their own are the worst.

Mr. High, are you Matt Slick?
>>
>>17178284
I've done plenty of research on my own mate.

The Bible is full of failed predictions and inconsistencies. I was genuinely interested in the Bible for a long time, but to anyone who critically thinks about the text it does not hold up to scrutiny.

Passing it off as inspired works from God is the worst of all offences. Surely a God exists, but he didn't write the bible.
>>
>>17178301
You'll get over that delusion, in time. I did my research and the Bible has 0 failed predictions and 0 inconsistencies.

I saw you quoting from a book other than the KJV.

But you said you did research.

Also, how the hell can you claim the Luke genealogy is for Mary when it explicitiy says it is for Joseph. Don't worry I'll quote the KJV.

>And Jesus himself began to be about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph, which was the son of Heli,..

> I did my research and the Bible has 0 failed predictions and 0 inconsistencies.

aka we have no clue why they are different but this is the only explanation we can come up with

keep believing a fake book lmao
>>
>>17178364
>aka we have no clue why they are different

Uh, they are different for the same reasons the 4 gospels are different, but the same. Because it's from 4 different perspectives.

Each says the same thing from their perspective. To a close minded fool it will look just wrong. To someone that actually is looking for the truth and has the holy spirit, well. You get the point.

You'll see. The one question you can ask God before He sends you to the lake of fire is asking about which Bible is true. 100% He will say KJV.

Your insistence on just linking to various websites is cringeworthy.

KJV has plenty of errors like inventing the words Jew and Jehovah, both of which are wrong. It also puts Easter in for Pentecost.

I've met people like you who also take the Book of Concord to practically be scripture as well. Give how eager people will willingly take men's writings and elevate it to divine status, it's no wonder so many people take the Bible as god's word today.

what do you think about the idea that religion is basically an aggrandized version of animal training?

the concepts of obedience and salvation versus defiance and damnation seems more to me like the final logical extension of carrot versus stick. it's a religion of followers, nobody gives a damn about helping people. you wait until the cultural shit hits the fan and crawl out of the woodworks ready to prowl for broken, miserable people to indoctrinate.

where were you when people were zonking out on television, which if anything, with its constant barrage on the senses and implantation of bullshit subjective narratives, is probably idolatry of the highest order, when people gleefully tore apart and dynamited the land. now you want to spin a new myth that demons are controlling everybody in power? you want to act like you have moral superiority over the rest of society?

i'm going to burn in hell forever. you're going to be graced by the presence of the lord, yea. the child molesting warlord is saved and mark twain is tormented forever in the lake of fire.

it's all death salience theory from here.
>>
>>17178527
It's always easy to provide sufficient evidence to constitute rational proof that religions are man made.

1. Most of the supposed miracles defy reality as we know it, blatantly. You can't just claim that because it's a religion it gets a pass, we're talking about rational proof here. So right out the gate you have something with no actual evidence allegedly doing things that are impossible.

2. If there were an actual god intervening in actual human affairs, you'd expect some conformity and solidarity in faith. There isn't even any in the given religions. Christianity and its different interpretations are all over the fucking place. That's what you'd expect from a man made religion, not a god inspired one.

3. Were there an interventionist god that actually existed ,you'd expect to see signs of said intervention. There'd be leftover artifacts (holy grail-esque concepts, touched areas of the planet, etc.) There are none. Again, the evidence matches the model of man made faiths.

4. If a particular faith were correct and god inspired, you'd notice superior conditions among its followers. They'd be distinct from all the other religions in a way that denotes the superior philosophy. No religion enjoys this quality.

The list goes on, it's very easy to prove religions, all of them, are man made things. There are no gods humanity has ever encountered or has any reason to believe exist.

I'm not him but I believe it's hard to tone it down sometimes. I'm a Christian too and sometimes it's feels like there's a fire burning in your heart. In a good way of course. I try to use the tools other people are willing to work with such as logic to at least open the door to the possibility of believing in God. When I was an atheist I instinctually resisted anything biblical so I try to keep that in mind. But I also believe different people require different approaches and there's really no bad way to preach the gospel unless you're preaching false doctrine that is
>>
>>17178589
Translation : You're not religious, you're just self absorbed and you hate other people for not liking you more, so you're going to waste your entire life away trying to seem superior by shoving a crap dogma you hardly even understand in their face to generate a sense of smug self importance.
>>
>>17178593
The bad way to approach people, and the Bible affirms this, is to badger people who have clearly asked you not to with your beliefs.

The way, according to the New Testament, to spread the message is by living a good, humble Christian life and letting people observe it and the rewards of it. You can certainly proselytize if you wish, but you're never supposed to harass people with it or use it as a cudgel. Again, that's not just bad behavior, the Bible specifically says don't do that, so it's hard to take any supposed Christian seriously who does.

That's exactly what this Prince Most High guy appears to be doing. It's what he's saying he's going to do. That's not being Christian, that's pretending to be Christian while really just being egocentric and abusive towards others.
>>
>>17178465
I was raised Christian in a super conservative home, went to Christian schools all my life.

My first red-pill was that a lot of people I knew went into the seminary to become pastors and christian teachers, but a lot of them were not that intelligent and would simply parrot what their teachers told them. They wouldn't really think for themselves. Realizing that these same people would one day become the 'respected leaders' in my church really started to open my eyes.

Then post college I started educating myself in history, geology, mythology, migrations, etc. Came to the conclusion myself that there's no way the world is only 6000 years old as I had grown up believing.

My history reading taught me that the Christianization of Europe was an extremely violent and genocidal process. If you didn't convert you were executed. I learned that the protestant wars killed nearly half the European population which of course I was never taught. Then I came to head with today's Christian egalitarianism, treating everyone as equals, which is so contrary to nature.

At this point I was still a Christian, but I was very skeptical of the modern variants.

Then I started reading works by Voltaire and Thomas Paine who have written extremely good critiques of scripture and show how inconsistent they are. Paine's analysis of the Gospel predictions, combined with Voltaire's analysis of the Moses and the Pentateuch were irrefutable to me.

I am still convinced we are created creatures, but I am a Christian no longer. If you want advice on how to convince people, I'm not sure, because 3 years ago I probably wouldn't have listened to any of what I am saying myself. You need an open mind, critical thinking, good history lessons, and most of all time.

If you're a Christian, it will make you address serious problems with the validity of the Old Testament and you will become stronger for it.

If you're not, then it will further convince you that it's not inspired works of god.

If a person keeps barging into every conversation, regardless of topic, to push a poorly thought out, egocentric agenda on people, over and over, yeah, that's badgering. And pathetic. And no, his intentions aren't good. A good person with good intentions doesn't force their abstract beliefs on people who have said, "I don't want you forcing this on me." No good person ever does that. It's not how good people act. He's a bad person and not a religious person. This is just about his ego.

Can a Christian explain why Paul's letters to various churches should be considered as revelations from God and not simply letters from a man to other men?

He never claims his writings to be inspired, he's just writing to people. Paul was a human, just like us.

>>17178634
That's part of it, but I view atheism as degenerate as well. I think humans need religion to a certain degree, and today's Christianity has morphed into something completely different than the Christianity of 500 years ago, which was completely different than the Christianity 500 years before that.

I'm using religion in the broad sense of the word.

If you go back pre-Christianity, everyone believe in the gods, but their interpretation varied greatly. The idea of forcing your god on others was also unheard of.

The old volk beliefs were a religion, in that they contained myths about creation and the gods, but it was also a way of life, a tradition, for your people. It promoted certain principles like family, honor, courage, glory.

Maybe a better word is worldview, weltanschauung. Everyone needs one.

Denying god isn't' arrogant. Believing that there's a god that created you especial and cares about you? That's arrogant! It's really funny how people who invented a special super being to validate their own sense of self importance accuses anyone else of being "arrogant."

Atheists accept that they're just part of the natural universe. They're the least arrogant of the bunch because they don't attempt to pretend they're important.

It has nothing to do with arrognce, if you would study the world around you, behaviours of our ancestors you would observe that their traditionalism is pretty much non-sense... that there is no indication or proof for God anywhere but everything seems to be an automated machine that doesn't need intervention of God to work.
Also physics explain how given an infinite time a universe with random laws of physics could pop-up.. and ours is the least likely universe that could've poped up.

If one religion is false, then all religions are false.

Prove Gödel wrong.

>The first incompleteness theorem states that no consistent system of axioms whose theorems can be listed by an "effective procedure" (i.e., any sort of algorithm) is capable of proving all truths about the relations of the natural numbers (arithmetic). For any such system, there will always be statements about the natural numbers that are true, but that are unprovable within the system. The second incompleteness theorem, an extension of the first, shows that such a system cannot demonstrate its own consistency.

The liar paradox is the sentence "This sentence is false." An analysis of the liar sentence shows that it cannot be true (for then, as it asserts, it is false), nor can it be false (for then, it is true). A Gödel sentence G for a theory T makes a similar assertion to the liar sentence, but with truth replaced by provability: G says "G is not provable in the theory T." The analysis of the truth and provability of G is a formalized version of the analysis of the truth of the liar sentence.
It is not possible to replace "not provable" with "false" in a Gödel sentence because the predicate "Q is the Gödel number of a false formula" cannot be represented as a formula of arithmetic. This result, known as Tarski's undefinability theorem, was discovered independently by both Gödel, when he was working on the proof of the incompleteness theorem, and by the theorem's namesake, Alfred Tarski.

>A number of features distinguish modern logic from the old Aristotelian or traditional logic, the most important of which are as follows:[85] Modern logic is fundamentally a calculus whose rules of operation are determined only by the shape and not by the meaning of the symbols it employs, as in mathematics. Many logicians were impressed by the "success" of mathematics, in that there had been no prolonged dispute about any truly mathematical result. C.S. Peirce noted[86] that even though a mistake in the evaluation of a definite integral by Laplace led to an error concerning the moon's orbit that persisted for nearly 50 years, the mistake, once spotted, was corrected without any serious dispute. Peirce contrasted this with the disputation and uncertainty surrounding traditional logic, and especially reasoning in metaphysics. He argued that a truly "exact" logic would depend upon mathematical, i.e., "diagrammatic" or "iconic" thought. "Those who follow such methods will ... escape all error except such as will be speedily corrected after it is once suspected". Modern logic is also "constructive" rather than "abstractive"; i.e., rather than abstracting and formalising theorems derived from ordinary language (or from psychological intuitions about validity), it constructs theorems by formal methods, then looks for an interpretation in ordinary language. It is entirely symbolic, meaning that even the logical constants (which the medieval logicians called "syncategoremata") and the categoric terms are expressed in symbols.

How big is your fedora collection?

I know you're an autist. You use it like an insult. I'm very sure that you are a diagnosed sperg. No joke and not trolling at all.

By that logic you'd have to argue that Godel's theorem invalidates all ideas. As it happens, it doesn't for two reasons. 1: It doesn't invalidate all ideas, some simple mathematical series don't apply to it. 2: Mathematics describes our understanding of some reality, it's not a perfect picture of all reality.
>>
>>17179251
nope.

because

not to embarrass you, but you were using the theorem incorrectly because the difference between religion and Gödel's Incompleteness Theorem are that G-bro's theorem can demonstrate it's own consistency in a formal way (which i just did in an informal way with religion as an input), while religious canon/claims/beliefs cannot.

After the ex christian guy, you're the biggest cringe so far. If I honestly even cared a little, I'd probably talk about this with you.

>>17179241
You do know I stopped reading at the first post I read from you, right? If all you got is Gödel's incompleteness theorem, and you think that somehow makes you look smart, instead of cringy, you're mistaken.

Maybe it's time for you to look into something else now.

I know a thing or two. Again, you're thinking you're smart but you're not. Writing a wall of text with a fancy word here or there, does not make you smart, sir. I can tell right off the bat, you're not, because if you were you'd never use Gödel. But ah well, maybe you could google your way to the answer.

God is very real.
Salvation is simple and eternal.
My first post will show you how to get immortality and a relationship with God.

That's it.

thinly veiled

if all i've got is one of the fundamental axioms of mathematical logic?

it's not fancy, nor a wall of text. what's your point?

i'd like to think that the people here are perfectly capable of understanding a basic logical statement. why do you think they are so incapable?

God bless you both. I used to be a militant atheist, I know all the arguments. The mere fact I am telling you this should make you think a little bit, just a bit.

it makes me think you abstract beliefs from imperfect observations rather than constructing proofs, and looking for validity in nature in a constructive way.

Not in the slightest my brother :)
>>
>how it is true even though it cannot prove itself or it's consistency outside of the system of mathematics itself.

because *my* logic (and Gödel's) are derived from a constructed theorem, created independently from, lets for simplicity's sake say "independent from religion", and proven as true. it's like a machine that can take any input, and process it to produce an output. when my "machine" takes the input "religion" it produces the output "If one religion is false, then all religions are false."
>>
Honestly religion is a disgusting thing that destroys lives and robs humanity of intellectual dignity and freedom and advancement. Religion is an evil evil thing.
It's mental poison designed to create a false story of life and how to live.
It's evil.
>>
>>17179351
i think it has good intentions (sometimes) but it's a closed system of beliefs, and logical fallacies, mostly used by people to control other people with logical fallacies.

today, however, we have an open, and accessible system to prove truth mathematical logic

Living in the traps no joke
Stay woke to the lies deceiving you
Force fed radio signals into your brain
Covering up the lies the pain the shame

Cursed from birth playing this game
No winners or losers no prizes no fame
The only way out is through dealing and hustling
Crime is directly proportional to poverty.

There's more to this life than you know
than
The drinkin' the smokin' the hoes
throwing all your money in air
I swear
this lavish kind of life ain't fair
no
and I know you ain't feeling this
The truth it hurts when your living in blissful ignorance
Some say there's truth in music
That's why the top 40' think's your fucking stupid....

The ones at the top say life's one big party
I got no invite, no RSPCT, no illuminati fuck that shit... chasing phantoms while rambling and dancing in mansions made up of my own desires, dreams I'll acquire through fire conspire for greatness ...

Working class paradox
Roach motel ignorance
What happened to free speech
With words covered in bleach
The ink is still unseen
These kids are still dancing
These white dudes are DJing
Profiting off irony

Periods of modern logic[edit]
The development of modern logic falls into roughly five periods:[87]
The embryonic period from Leibniz to 1847, when the notion of a logical calculus was discussed and developed, particularly by Leibniz, but no schools were formed, and isolated periodic attempts were abandoned or went unnoticed.
The algebraic period from Boole's Analysis to Schröder's Vorlesungen. In this period, there were more practitioners, and a greater continuity of development.
The logicist period from the Begriffsschrift of Frege to the Principia Mathematica of Russell and Whitehead. The aim of the "logicist school" was to incorporate the logic of all mathematical and scientific discourse in a single unified system which, taking as a fundamental principle that all mathematical truths are logical, did not accept any non-logical terminology. The major logicists were Frege, Russell, and the early Wittgenstein.[88] It culminates with the Principia, an important work which includes a thorough examination and attempted solution of the antinomies which had been an obstacle to earlier progress.
The metamathematical period from 1910 to the 1930s, which saw the development of metalogic, in the finitist system of Hilbert, and the non-finitist system of Löwenheim and Skolem, the combination of logic and metalogic in the work of Gödel and Tarski. Gödel's incompleteness theorem of 1931 was one of the greatest achievements in the history of logic. Later in the 1930s, Gödel developed the notion of set-theoretic constructibility.
The period after World War II, when mathematical logic branched into four inter-related but separate areas of research: model theory, proof theory, computability theory, and set theory, and its ideas and methods began to influence philosophy.

It starts you are afraid of these things if the Jews taunt you into their trap.

Then you are a familiar, afraid of the shadow beasts and doing horrid things out of cowardice.

Eventually you will get so fed up you stand up for yourself.

It is then you realize my demon pets on earth are not like me, and are nothing in comparison to men.

Then you realize you ARE a delusional schizo and in fact are a pussy bitch compared to regular men who have not left Gods grace.

You realize God is a type of fighter energy that allows you to hang around the most beautiful of creations that is mankind.

For I am an angel, the greatest and most beautiful! You will respect my work! In this life or the next!
