Why do guys love Crowley so much? It's 'babbies first esoteric author' tier.
The best materials you have to find for yourself. They have some sort of magical spell around them which deters people not fit to receive their wisdom.
If you're sincere about existing for the benefit of mankind and becoming worthy of wielding real divine power, the good stuff will be revealed and you'll bypass all of the worthless garbage thats out there.
Thats true esotericism, or "hidden" occultism. You get what you're fit to receive, no more, no less.
The secret teachings of all Ages by Manly P. Hall is a 10/10 in my opinion
he is kind of right.
I am a mystic, and have about 51 books in my collection none of which include any golden dawn people.
Also the books I have do state that you wont find these books until you are spiritually ready or supposed to.
What that one anon said about books revealing themselves to you when you are ready for them, I find very true.
My personal favorites are...
Falling Into Grace
The End Of Your World
The Untethered Soul
The Tao Of Physics
Conversations With God 1,2, and 3
Be Here Now
Fingerprints Of The Gods
Zen And The Art Of Happiness
Three Books Of Occult Philosophy
Friendship With God
The Book Of The Law
I didnt want to make a thread for this, so I will try my luck here and ask you guys, since you seem knowledgeable in this type of stuff.
I need to do an investigation / paper on a subject that involves some topics I barely know of.
Basically I need to know about Cults in general. People worshipping or idolizing Figures, entities, people or Gods. Organizations or Societies (secret?) that are centered around these type of ideologies, etc.
So Books, Papers, Documentaries, anything would be great really.
I like lighthearted compendiums of mythological creatures and unexplained stuff. Anyone else have this one?
This one has hundreds of paranormal and unexplained historical events and creatures including UFOs. It's /x/: the book.
Years ago there was a thread here where everyone posted pics of their copy of this book. Lots of the people here had a copy at some time in their lives. It was printed in lots of languages and reprinted many times. In many ways, I can see how this book shaped more of my life than I realized just by exposing me to the many concepts. It's a pretty big deal.
Have been reading Gustav Meyrink lately. Some of his dream sceneries remind me of Lovecraft, but he's much more down to earth. Witch is kind of strange given he was a hard core occultist and member of several cults.
On only one occasion I had a book float off a shelf and fall into my hands. It exactly as if it were moved by whatever force moves the ouija planchet. I had only touched the back of the book on the binding with no contact with any edge that could have been pulled on to make the book fall.
It turned out to be alchemical taoism literature. Pic related
