To remedy his dog's illness, the man lights a fire, and brings his dog near it to sleep. He may feel the dog is heavier, He may even feel as if the dog is longer than it had been before. He thinks the dog is quite sick, so much so as to go limp in his hands. As such, he decides to leave him be by the fire, and move on to making his trophies.

The man may think that he is dreaming, but this thought does not linger long in his head -- as he hears the same noise coming from outside the door. He holds his breathe, careful to make no sound at all -- he steps over the back side of his dog, and sticks his head through his door frame.

There, he sees his dog's front side, just like he had imagined it. Stretched in a U around the door frame. He may think that this is cannot possibly be his dog. He may be right. But he would be too late.

The man leans in, intent on investigating his dog as the source of the noise. He hears it clearly now, he now identifies the noise: a whisper.

He leans in closer still, to his dog, remaining sure that he is making absolutely no noise, to remain undetected.

He can hear it clearer still, but cannot quite understand what the whisper is saying.

Hey, guys! It's me. I'm not dead. Just a little sore. Sorry it took so long, but my phone has been sitting in a bowl of rice since yesterday. I'm afraid to say I never made it to the pavilion because there was a car blocking the way. I tried to take a picture, but my phone kept focusing on everything but the car.
