ITT: We post music that would fit well with the world ending. Colossal, cacophonous, overwhelming, planetary music that makes you feel like a gnat next to the unstoppable disaster that's heading your way.
This one has a few hopeful moments, but it's fatalistic sounding for the most part.
>Lustmord's Black Star
Was just about to post this.
Anyway heres something sliiiightly similar
>ARKHAION - Procreation - Aurora Hominis
>Samuel Barber: Agnus Dei
Sorry to shamelessly self-promote, but I honestly feel it applies to the apocalyptic theme of this thread--especially tracks like these:
The question is how it all ends.
If alien invasion or a huge war
Epic Score - They hit without warning
Noisia - Machine Gun (16bit remix)
if sadness and maybe something like in the movie 2012
Hammock - I can almost see you
Best it's gonna get-Celldweller
I'd say this fits with the world ending, along with most of the blackstar album.
ignore the video, was the better audio one availible. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MGR4U7W1dZU
sorry if this description is ambiguous, but which one is the one that plays during a Tetsuo-centric scene and it's with those guys who sound like:
This song might make the worlds end indeed enjoyable.
sopor aeternus - Beautiful Thorn
deep dark ambient sound, unbeaten.
Why does everyone's apocalypse have overtly sinister tones? I mean, the immediate destruction of humanity is unfortunate and likely a horrible thing to witness, but what about after? When the bodies are gone, when our last screams have faded, and all that remains is the hollow shells of our homes and places of work being reclaimed by nature, the world can finally be at peace. Somewhere, a bird is singing.
Especially the electronic sections
sure I will play. https://video.search.yahoo.com/video/play;_ylt=A0LEVoDoMpVUL6QADU4PxQt.;_ylu=X3oDMTBsa3ZzMnBvBHNlYwNzYwRjb2xvA2JmMQR2dGlkAw--?p=and+in+the+night+i+hear+you+calling&tnr=21&vid=0497B5214A0E1DD13C8C0497B5214A0E1DD13C8C&l=350&turl=http%3A%2F%2Fts2.mm.bing.net%2Fth%3Fid%3DUN.607997963120281569%26pid%3D15.1&rurl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DHlHUfuQ8d_g&sigr=11a54p4f2&tt=b&tit=Oblivion+-M83+%28feat.+Susanne+Sundf%C3%B8r%29&sigt=1167o2bus&back=https%3A%2F%2Fsearch.yahoo.com%2Fyhs%2Fsearch%3Fp%3Dand%2Bin%2Bthe%2Bnight%2Bi%2Bhear%2Byou%2Bcalling%26ei%3DUTF-8%26hsimp%3Dyhs-001%26hspart%3Dmozilla&sigb=13fom5t42&hspart=mozilla&hsimp=yhs-001
Jeff Wayne - Musical Version of The War of the Worlds, for a World of the worlds-like apocalypse
The new generation version part one (you can find all the parts on youtube from the same user)
My favorite song from the album
and the new generation version
Music is not enough, we'll need something to read to pass time, so:, Nightfall by Asimov (short story)
Blindness by Jose Saramago
Arthur C. Clarke
Cat’s Cradle by Kurt Vonnegut
The Road by Cormac McCarthy
War of the Worlds by H. G. Wells
Spam filter won't let me post links, can't be bothered to "reformat", so, Google the names+pdf, all the Ebooks are on first page.
This guy has a lot of songs like this some more gloomy than others. His songs remind me of the post apocalypse. Because, of the obvious correlation between his songs and Fallout.
>Implying the world will end with a bang, and not with a whimper
A viral threat is pretty much the only thing that could cause an extinction event at this point in time, so if that were to happen, we'd walk over our dead for quite some time before the last one of us dies alone, surrounded with the corpse of humanity.
Two favorites by the same dude.
>tfw the universe is constantly marching towards death
We grow dimmer as we stray farther from the light, a natural product of the expanding universe. The negativity that's consuming us now is only natural, there was light before all of this. We shouldn't fear it or run.
Eat, drink and be merry
For tomorrow we die
Drink five of the seven seas
Here is a paralysed sleet
Here is a bubble bath rain
Acrid stench and festering tongue
New York, Moscow, Nairobi in flames
Also this band in general. dude just sounds so convincing
> Ctrl + f
> No Current 93
I mean the apocalypse is pretty much all Tibet sings about, especially in The Inmost Light Trilogy.
Do what you want cause you are a PIRATE
I Looked to the South Side of the Door
Was just about to post masked ball truly one of the most unsettling pieces. Seen the film for the first time a couple of months back, was amazing.
i know its from anime, but still. it has clear, crisp sound which gives even better feel to its apocalyptic feeling which pretty much accompany the whole track.
i'm almost sure this will start playing when the gods decide to put an end to all of this
the gods are just bigger pieces
a pawn or a queen are of equal value on the battlefield,
and if a pawn can reach the other side it can even become a queen itself
do you even know your stories?
This project in general, but especially this song right here :
Some good ones
I will never be the same - worldless, adele - skyfall,... for normal ending
most songs from audiomachine, two steps from hell and some songs from hans zimmer like the crisis 2 theme for epic ending
some classic music like beethoven, mozart or other notables for stylish ending
mumsford and sons sigh no more for an Inner monologue 'We are humans'/'face-off with death' ending
Nobue Uematsu - You are not alone for an Inner monologue 'We had a good life'-kinda feel ending
many more not mentioned
PS: It should be a criminal offense 'being bored'
Yeah but then they'll keep all the prisoners forever for that offence
"They're trying to build a prison
They're trying to build a prison
They're trying to build a prison
For you and me to live in"
>mfw I'm listening to that song right now
Everything is about to come tumbling down.
