There's a conspiracy theory that if you sync up Asia's second album Alpha with the movie Trading Places (which both came out in 1983), not only will the music match the plot of the movie (ala Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon with Wizard of Oz), but the symmetry will create this weird energy vortex that will actually suck the viewer into the movie.

You're suddenly in Philadelphia, trading stocks with those old brokers or rocking the sheets with Jamie Lee Curtis. The only way to get out of the film reality is to say a specific line in the movie three times (Once you've had a man with no legs you never go back). Immediately after saying it three times you're sucked back into your reality. If at any time you mess up the three lines, or someone takes the album off the record player or pops the VHS out of the VCR you will be trapped in the film forever. Director John Landis and John Payne planned this out in order to created some buzz between the two works, but unfortunately very few people knew they had to say the line three times to get out.

In fact, if you saw a first print run of Trading Places and compared it to a viewing now you'd see thousands more people in crowd shots trapped inside the movie, hungry because they can't eat anything.

There is a similar conspiracy the Emilio Estevez film Nightmares and the first Juice Newton album, but all it does it make your room smell like burnt fudge
