That is a small glitch of the digital camera software, pretty common when superimposing two consecutive pictures at high speed.
Google takes a lot of photos while in movement and a software automatically corrects the photos and stitches them into one, if you look for panoramic pictures you will find the same glitch, it's very common.

The beginning is an introduction, he is testing his gun and the birds were filmed in the area (Clarke's beach) sort of a way to give out his location.

St Croix is clearly someone who went there for hunting, and the footage of the birds in the beach could lead me to believe he was a tourist. That rifle is not suitable for a robbery and the glass cutter is designed to be used on a work table, it's almost useless in any other situation.

Someone's having a bit of fun here.

Unfortunately, in the "backtracking" video, when the Sasquatch scream is heard at the end, there's no reverberation following it.

In an open area that large, the echoes/reverberation from an animal screaming like that would be quote noticeable. Yet in the video, if you turn the sound up, there is no reverberation at all caused by the scream.

Anyone with experience in music production or film sound post production will know what I'm talking about, and instantly recognize that the Sasquatch scream has been added to the video in post production.

In the area, though, there is not much to reflect the sound so it is hard to say with 100% certainty that a lack of reverberation is due to an edit.

OP said he was filming with a gopro. gopro's tend to have a low sound quality when in their protective casing. Along with the wind blowing it would be hard to hear such an echo on this kind of camera. But I could still hear a slight echo coming from the sound around the middle of the sound. Coming from an avid gopro user echos and reverberation coming from an animal sound outside is quite hard for the gopro's mic to pick up
