I have actually saw some really weird shit like that back in the day on Adult Swim when they were airing Code Geass, there was a black screen before the opening theme and it was someone talking about nonsensical (I don't remember exactly what was said, it was 8 years ago) stuff for a few minutes before it cut back to the episode. I had it recorded to my DVR and I'd play it back all the time trying to figure out what it was about.
