I've spotted a griffin-like creature several times over the course of 30 years in South Australia. The fact that the occurrences happened over such a long time frame in locations 100's of miles apart could mean a number of things. It's one highly intelligent creature. Or it's inter-dimensional. Or there's more than one and they have the means to communicate to each other, because seeing them 3 or more times means i'm targeted by them/it.

I've met a couple and spoke with them for a second. It's important to understand that the myth of them hasn't always been around. If you were to understand the origin of how they came about, you'd probably also understand that the force that makes them behave so strangely is a lot more scary than the children themselves. If you see one or a pair of them - it usually means they are there to drag something out of you or that they're in search for someone or something. They are in no way particularly scary.
