No anon, nothing is going to happen, you'll be fine, keep doing as you do. Take this cat picture and remember that the world hasn't ended for-fuckass-ever and it's not going to end now because le spooky space face.
How could something like the process of metamorphosis gradually evolve over millions of years? It seems to me to be one of the most alien processes life has developed- but how can evolution by tiny mutations and selective pressure possibly lead to such a thing?
Its mostly allowing to use different niches and in butterflies it allows adults to go on and do their thing without having to feed anymore.
Different stages with diapause also allow to develop and change niches in accord with predators' development rythm so the spiece avoid it as much as possible.
Mind that there are relict hexapods with no methamorphosis during development and hemimetabola so youve got a full spectrum.
Having a pupa allows the spieces to just wait out shit times and remodel themselves so it gives a tremendous advantage.
Also evolution led to you mate so having a pupa isnt as unbelivable in comparison.
What's really fucked is that they did some study to see if they could retain memory after metamorphosis. Don't remember the details but they would coach the caterpillars to respond negatively to a specific stimulis, then confirmed that as a butterfly it responded in the same way. So when it liquifies into goop inside the Chrysalis it still retains memory somehow.
Why the nasa lyning for the extraterrestrial
Because they need money.
Because we (humans) are just a joke. We're apes in a zoo.

because our lives are memes. when tasked with something unknown, we react with emotion, thus creating a self destructive loop behavior keeping us subservient to our own chemical reactions for generations and generations just repackaged in a new year. we are easy to control as long as the veil stays on that that guy in a suit who presides over my land is the greatest power. last time they came down en mass we called them gods and wasted millenniums on the "divine" meme, impeding technological discovery for thousands of years down the line
Hey /x/, I'm the guy who posted this. Apparently after I posted the thread the entity got fucking mad. Like, it went mental. So after like an hour and a half of noise and it being an asshole, I got up, got my dick in my hand, and threatened to rape it.
You won't believe me /x/. I heard the voice of a woman sobbing, from the bathroom. Nothing and no one was there though. After some minutes of realization, I went to sleep.
The night after, nothing happened. No noises, no footsteps, nothing.
I think I defeated it guys.
I defeated an evil entity by threatening to rape it, after 7 months of fuckery.
>threatening to rape it
There's your problem. It would have gone away faster if you just raped the ghost.
Do you have any photos of the entity?

See a lot of threads about vampires and shit, never see anything about werewolves. So drop some knowledge and shit.
just a bunch of furfags
>>19262258
I lean heavily towards the werewolf myth arose from a combination of humans and wolves afflicted by rabies.
Add old-timey serial killers/cannibals into the mix and you've got the making of a particularly potent legend.
The Beast of Gévaudan, killed by Jean Chastel with the blessed silver bullet - the human remains inside it suggest it's a werewolf.
A lot of you are familiar with the theory that we have atleast 1 more planet in our solar system. This planet is thought to effect among other things the very elliptical orbits of Sedna and Halleys comet.
Every 13 thousand years for atleast the last 65 thousand years there has been a major extinction event. Most of them appear to be major impacts.
The last mass extinction happened approximately 12,900 to 12,950 years ago.
So do you believe this may be true and if so when do you think it may happen again?
>>19262168
It isn't one more planet in our solar system, it is a deeper orbit than we can see.
>>19262168
I also think when this planet passed we were visited by winged men, mey be not physical wings, maybe that is how they inturpreted angels before things like space travel were thought of.
>>19262180
I think they where humans.
Homo sapians have been kicking about atleast 300,000 years. And there where our ancestors before that.
Do you guys have any idea how many extinction events have happened within the last 300,000 years? Past 200,000 things aren't as clear, what is clear is that this is the longest period we have gone without a apocalypse for 200,000 years.
movies about the devil, like in straight up devil no old hags, no badabooks, clowns etc preferably no B movies either but if highly underated then yes i watch. watched satanic yesterday, wasnt bad but didnt really scare me or give a weird vibe. thx upfront /x/

Achintya-bhedabheda-tattva refers to the inconceivable oneness and difference of the Supreme Person and His energies. This is one of the key points of theistic philosophy taught by Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. As parts of God's energy, we're also equal in quality with God, but there's a vast difference in quantity. We're each infinitesimal sparks of spiritual energy, and the Supreme Person, Krishna, is the infinite, supreme source of all energies.
Some parts of the Vedas say that all beings are one with God, and others say that God is different from all beings. Vedanta philosophers have long argued back and forth about this, but Chaitanya Mahaprabhu taught that both statements are simultaneously true.
>This is called acintya-bhedābheda, simultaneously one and different. The energy is not different, just like the fire and the heat and the light. The heat and light is from the fire. Wherever there is fire, there is heat and light, but still heat and light is not fire...Heat is not different from fire, light is not different from fire, but still heat and light is not fire. Similarly...whatever we see, they are simply manifestation of the two energies of God, Brahman. So they are not different from Brahman, at the same time different from Brahman. This is called acintya-bhedābheda-tattva. Therefore Kṛṣṇa says here that mat-sthāni sarva-bhūtāni: (BG 9.4) "Everything is resting on My energy, but I am not them." The Māyāvādī philosophers, they are mistaken, mistaking that when everything is expanded as God's energy, then why there is separate God? This is material conception. God is always separate from His energy. That is distinctly said here: mayā tatam idaṁ sarvam. Everything is emanation of God's energy, but still God is not there. - Calcutta, March 9, 1972
Eastern philosophies often get accused of fatalism. The concept of karma and the Hindu castes especially seem to tell the populace "Stay in your place and learn to be happy." Striving for more is deleterious, and a trap to bind you further to the material. Better to abandon all desire for improvement. Bhakti yoga is in direct contention to this. The process which Srila Prabhupada likened to the woodworking method of dovetailing is not to abandon pursuits, but to purify them.
>Bg 9.27 — Whatever you do, whatever you eat, whatever you offer or give away, and whatever austerities you perform – do that, O son of Kuntī, as an offering to Me.
The desire to act is not the issue, but the motivation behind the act. The intended enjoyer of the act is what needs to be corrected.
> Bg 2.47 — You have a right to perform your prescribed duty, but you are not entitled to the fruits of action. Never consider yourself the cause of the results of your activities, and never be attached to not doing your duty.
With bhakti yoga, every act is meant to be an act of loving devotion to your Supreme Lover. Why WOULDN'T you want to perform the best you absolutely can? Why would you give your absolutely best and perfect lover a haphazard effort and go "meh, that's what karma produced?" A person making something for themselves to enjoy might settle, but a person making something for their best and perfect lover should want to make it the biggest and the best and the most perfect thing ever.
And what should we be doing for Krishna? Well, this is where independence kicks in. Imagine you are cooking for your best and perfect lover. And you want them to REALLY enjoy what you make, so you ask them what you should make for them. What is the mundane response we so often get? "You decide. Surprise me." It is similar with Krishna.
Of course we know everyone has favorites and even when they say "surprise me" they sometimes mean "show me you know what I want.
>>19261888
And to top it all off, with Krishna we know He can know everything we think, what we'll choose...heck, He could make us choose; He basically does. But that's just it. The action isn't the issue. We aren't doing the action. What's important is that mentality. That moment when you're sitting there WANTING TO PLEASE your best and perfect lover. When your identity is "I am my lover's pleasure" and your mind is meditating on "What can I do to please my lover?" and your senses are engaged in determining what is available and how to bring about whatever the mind comes up with. And anything and everything that is you is focused and aware on the One you love.
THAT is love. THAT is what Krishna wants. THAT is what will satisfy us now, and eternally.
Just a quick thought to all the other Personalists on the board hoping for a chance to make their Deity smile.
> Bg 2.40 — In this endeavor there is no loss or diminution, and a little advancement on this path can protect one from the most dangerous type of fear.

Hey /x/, I have a story from this 4th of July, so it just happened 3 days ago
>be me
>at grandparents house for the 4th of july
>we set a few fireworks, and so did our neighbors
>cops show up for an unrelated reason, so the party nextdoor stopped
>about 11 pm
>me, my brother, and his gf were there
>we'll call my brother chad, and his gf stacy
cont.
>>19261779
>chad and stacy both get high and drunk
>having a good time
>im just kind awkwardly sitting there
>we hear a weird cracking/clicking noise coming from the front of the house
>(for got to mention, our grandparents live on a lakeside in the country)
>theres also a forest on that side, about 50 feet back
>its a mix of sticks breaking and a bug zapper
>stacy is immediately on the verge of tears
>chad is immediately telling us to stfu so he can listen
>stacy and i dont stop
>chad says "SHHHHH" really loudly
>the noise stops
>we all quickly but quietly grab our shit and go inside through the back door
>they get some food and quickly forget about it
>the only windows on that side of the house are in my parents bedroom
>i didnt bother going into their room while they were sleeping
That's it
any idea what that could've been?
i live in the north east
