Defiantly the jews and possibly CNN.

AFAICT magic and the power of intention seem to go hand in hand. i haven't ever seen intentionality mentioned in the context of the Benveniste Affair but i think it could provide part of the missing link for why replication attempts have failed. in short, Benveniste accidentally discovered magic.

>Jacques Benveniste was a professor and professor of Public Health and Epidemiology at one of the top universities in France
> he also headed the department of Public Health and Epidemiology at a hospital
> he had a promising career as a researcher until he published in the prestigious scientific journal Nature a paper of his on Water Memory. i.e., homeopathy.

see the following for some context on what actually happened

(((Wikipedia's))) take https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Water_memory
Benveniste's response http://www.anomalist.com/commentaries/magician.html

Quoting Benveniste above:
> Back in 1982, when a researcher in our lab first presented results suggesting that substances, diluted until no molecule could possibly be present, retained their activity, I had been as skeptical as any magician and sent him back to check his work.
> But it was confirmed. In fact, in the years that followed, ten researchers examined a variety of biological systems, frequently using blind experiments, and confirmed the reality of the high dilution effect.
> From exhilarating scientific exploration, our work was transformed into desperate repetition, starting with the Comptes Rendus study mentioned above, in an attempt to convince the scientific community.
> Michel Schiff, a physicist-turned-sociologist who investigated our group, remarked that, while the 200 experiments preceding the fraud squad's "visit" included 24 of an exploratory nature, the corresponding post-visit figure was just six.
> Ninety-five percent of our experiments had become simple repetitions of earlier experiments.

so,
> Benveniste sat on his results for five years, until his team felt that there was enough information to go public.
> when Nature did publish his findings, the paper was accompanied by an editorial from the journal's editor, who urged that readers "suspend judgment" until results could be independently verified.
> Nature conducts, following the publishing of the paper, a verification effort
> they bring over a three-man team of people including, of all people, the magician James Randi
> They conduct five experiments in total. The first four replicate the study's initial findings.
> The skeptics from Nature discard those experiments post-hoc on grounds of methodology.
> The fifth shows negative findings. Ta-da, five years of research instantly considered incorrect.
> Since then, many other teams of researchers have also tried to replicate the experiments, all unsuccessfully.

Back to the concept of intentionality. The skeptics from Nature went in with the intent of proving Benveniste incorrect. So if intentionality were the factor causing Water Memory, it is no surprise that the experiments would have failed. Same with all subsequent replication efforts. (There also is another biasing effect at play working against Benveniste, namely of professional reputation, but we can ignore that for this discussion.)

Benveniste never stopped his research. He ended up forming a company called DigiBio. Their website is now defunct but it's available on the Wayback Machine https://web.archive.org/web/*/digibio.com

So my family is muslim and a few weeks ago we went to to Turkey to visit grandma, my aunts, my grandaunts, cousins, grandcousins etc.

While I was there, I heard my mother talking about one of her gazillion uncles.
Apparently that uncle learned something similiar to potion brewing from his own grandparents and practiced it into perfection. Some of his potions supposedly worked on himself according to him. He also went to the cemetery alot and would talk about corpse tissue, bones and that in witchcraft they were used as ingredients.

Anyway, my mother apparently had some problems with her family when she was in her 20ies and she was near this uncle. He told her to go to the kitchen to grab some sugar for the tea that the both were drinking.
After my mother returned, her tea was slightly lighter coloured and she got nervous. She said she'll pour herself a new tea, but her uncle quickly grabbed her tea, ran outside without a word, and disposed of it. He put the tea cup back in the kitchen after thoroughly cleaning it and said everything was fine.

When he eventually went to the toilet, my mother inspected the cup in the kitchen and found something like small crushed boneparts in it. It also had a little bit of some sticky yellow substance that smelled like acid.

So what I wanna ask here is:
-Do any of you have knowledge in potion brewing and what that bone tea could have done?
-Can I learn how to make potions without human bones?
-Your thoughts on this?

hey, ho! oh, no! There they come, all along I thought they were gone!

The anonymous ones! Come they, then, to write of their soul, their spirit, and get it all out from the bowl?

'Tis a place to do so! Out comes, out goes, but inwards has got enough! Change yer clothes, and clothe yer bodes, do not come for a lot, cheap lot.

Humble, weak, they all called us freak -- but we are more! Strong in the head, strong in the mind, we are much more -- אֲנַחְנוּ, the lords!

Come, come! For we are all above our bones.

The intention was to make a mindstream thread.

Don't know what it is? It's just a thread in which you write whatever comes to mind, no need for it make sense.

Some call it automatic writing.

I believe it. I remember I was an Arny officer in the 1890's. I remembered my past name and my wife's name and where we lived, in Oklahoma. I looked those names up on Ancestry.com one day, and I found a marriage certificate from Oklahoma. He had the same name as me, but a different middle name.

Hello /x/, I am wanting to start Astral projection practice. I've attempted multiple lucid dreams, however, I've never been successful. I have dreams sometimes, but I never fully realize that I'm dreaming, and if I do, I wake up.

I've picked up Astral Dynamics by Robert Bruce and am about halfway through it, but many of these processes take a while to yield results. What is something that will yield quick results of something related to this (even if it just lasts a second) so I can stay motivated?

Has anyone else been receiving mysterious EAS warnings? I noticed that they began last Friday. I was driving in my car at night when my radio unexpectedly turned on with an EAS alert. I thought perhaps it was related to flooding, but instead I heard this.
>The following message has been issued by the relevant authorities: 22 days.
It confused me, but I just ignored it. However, I've been receiving this message every day since last Friday - usually in my car or on my phone - with one day subtracted. I was eating in a local sandwich shop today, and this played over the radio.
>The following message has been issued by the relevant authorities: 17 days.
Everyone was confused, so I looked on Twitter and a few other sites, and other people have been hearing the same message in their towns/cities.

What's the end goal of reincarnation? I'm always hearing people say that you need to free yourself of ego so you can opt out of existence, but to that I ask, why was I created in the first place? What's the point of bringing souls into the world just to make them struggle to stop existing?

Or is there a spiritual world that we live in and do stuff in after nirvana? If so, could the reincarnation cycle be a punishment for crimes committed in the spiritual world? Or are we just using the reincarnation cycle as a means for spiritual growth? Why does stripping yourself of personality and attachments to friends and family equal spiritual growth?

I know it might sound like I'm skeptical of reincarnation, but that couldn't be further from the truth. I think reincarnation is real, but I don't think it has any rhyme or reason to it like karma or spiritual growth. I think we're just the universe experiencing itself, but if anyone can enlighten me on the Hindu/Buddhist viewpoints, I would really appreciate it.

>What's the end goal of reincarnation?
There is no end goal. It's a looping "time out" for the soul. It's detention for rebellious individuals, not a standard process for all life.
>why was I created in the first place?
You were never created. You are an eternal soul. No beginning, no end.
>What's the point of bringing souls into the world just to make them struggle to stop existing?
Souls are put under illusion when they attempt to use their free will to put themselves as the Center, the Enjoyer. We weren't put here, we chose to come here. When we are done trying to be the Enjoyer, there are many ways to get out.
>Or is there a spiritual world that we live in and do stuff in after nirvana?
With my tradition, yes. Mukti is simply the cessation of material activity. There is a higher plane wherein spiritual activity takes place.
>If so, could the reincarnation cycle be a punishment for crimes committed in the spiritual world?
It's not really a crime, it's an aberration. Imagine going to someone else's birthday party and wanting everyone to pay attention and lavish gifts on you. You wouldn't like the party, and the party wouldn't like you. But instead of punishment, there's this whole other room you can go in where everyone who wants the party to be all about them go.
>Why does stripping yourself of personality and attachments to friends and family equal spiritual growth?
You cannot swim if you insist on holding onto rocks. You hold onto these attachments because you derive pleasure through them - either directly or by using them to define your ego. It is not that abandoning the attachements makes you grow spiritually. It's that spiritual growth - increasing realization that you are NOT the Center, NOT the Enjoyer - washes away attachments built upon the temporary designations of matter.

Nope. The only people who say that are trying to sell you something or they fell for the brainwash. The ego is a part of you, it's like an extension of the self, you have to learn to coexist with your ego. It's not about the end, but being at a point where you can control.
