The Western Zodiac is rooted in Mesopotamia, later adapted by the Greeks.
There is also the Egyptian Zodiac, Chinese Zodiac, Vedic Zodiac and Mesoamerican Zodiac. There are definately more historically that have been lost to us, every isolated culture would look at the stars and form their own constellations with their own stories behind them.

I stumbled upon a channel on Vimeo while I was researching applications of neurofeedback in the field of virtual reality. I was led to the above video through vimeo autoplay. It's extremely unsettling to say the least.
Sam Scoggins, the creator of the video, is working on a virtual reality program called "MyndGazer" which allows the user to visualize their brainwaves in real time
What do you guys think? Is it just fringe art?
Should I use this guy's software, of is it a ploy to steal my soul?

I think they're even bigger today. Look how massive groups are like Scientologists or the Jehovah's Witness. It's a hard topic to discuss their entanglement with religion. It's taboo to criticize anyone's religious views.
Also after Jonestown which gave cults a lot of exposure in the US there was a push to get US gov't more involved in anti-cult activities but this was resisted. ITT we post myths and urban legends that scared the piss out of us as kids. Mine was the Tails Doll from Sonic R and the weird urban legend surrounding it.
