Since childhood I've always believed in law of attraction, creating reality, or free will. I have been experiencing prophetic dreams, usually minor(seemingly), and also a few death premonitions ( people closely related to me) for the last few years. But after a recent minor vision, I am beginning to believe our life's are 100% predestined. If anyone else experiences foretelling dreams please let me know your thoughts on free-will.

I have similar experience that pretty much took place on its own but I've also built on it with a hell of a lot of studying and working on harnessing my gift of foresight. My own conclusions are different from your own. I believe in possibility. Almost looking at it as a tree with several branches, of which you can only choose one at a time to move forward. The future isn't written in stone, but choices are not always for you to make.

Why don't buddhist monks, particularly Vajrayana, take the local deities and convert them to buddhist deities anymore?
For example in some Latin American countries where there are Vajrayana gompas from different schools, there are several deities (some even being "revived" like in Peru or Bolivia) that could be turned into dharmic deities or maybe be even related to world deities (like the Mother, with Pachamama).
I can imagine an Andean Vajrayana (the region in fact is pretty similar to Tibet).

Because in Tibetan Buddhist tradition, masters in the past actually converted deities to Buddhism. In the same sense that you convert a person. Unless the initiatory lineages that worship Latin american deities start practicing vajrayana and convert the deities it ain't happening. They would have to be initiated into vajrayana lineages, and with the approval of the preexisting lamas I'm guessing, convert their orishas/loa/whoever they are to dharma.

To further answer your question. Buddhist monks would need to be initiated in the Latin American lineages. Then basically take over that lineage over time, or, convert the lineage to Buddhism. It aint happening.

ITT we talk about weird church experiences
I'll start.
I just recently left my church. At my old church, the pastor was being suspected of having an affair with a 20 year old girl because he was growing visibly obsessed with her and really paranoid, erratic and just fucking odd. He mentioned this girl constantly in church during his 40 - 50 minute lessons for a long time and we barely read or heard from the actual Bible. The church grew really fucking small and the Elders started to leave. He started accusing people of spreading rumors about him and the girl, made his lessons about how people are jealous of how perfect the girl was and told the church if they don't like the girl, then they can leave the church because then they don't really love God and need to ask for her forgiveness. He finally asked my mother in law to leave the church along with with a bunch of other people and accused us of hating Jesus and being antichrists. I'm honestly really angry at him because me and my family did nothing wrong. But there is nothing I can do.

Anyway, I go to Church. It's always a weird experience.

Was an ordained minister for two years now I have almost no faith. Haven't stepped foot into a church (my denomination or otherwise) for nearly 8 months.
I was tired of people constantly twisting my words and the words of the bible to fuel their own crooked beliefs and hatred. It was exhausting, I miss the sense of community and family but not the religious experience.

Hi /x/. So I've been doing some digging over one of my mom's friends she went to High School with in my home town in South Central Kansas. He was Native American and disappeared immediately after he graduated from high school His adopted parents have no clue what happened to him or where he went. The speculation is he went to an Indian Reservation in Oklahoma to be with his family/tribe. This was all in 1983. In 1989 in Idabel Oklahoma, a body of a male was found. Native American, all of that fun stuff. After the digging I did, I believe that this could be my mom's classmate. Do you guys think I'm on the right track?

Winfield, KS actually. Anyways, besides the point. Research isn't a whole lot but it's the little bit on what I can go on. Asking my mom, she said the reconstruction is relatively close to what he looked like. The approximate age of the deceased is between 25/37, and the guy wasn't too terribly smart so he was about 20 when he graduated High School in 1983. Since the body was basically a skeleton, there's not a whole lot to go off of. Assuming he died in 1987, he would've been about 24, however if 88/89, he would've been 25/26.
