I had an imaginary dragon friend as a kid that never left me growing up. He has grown as well and is more complex now. sometimes he visits me in my dreams, other times at the verge of sleep he will appear and lay next to me. He doesnt talk, but i can sorta understand him by gestures alone. I dont know why hes there but i care about him enough to see him as a friend i would feel bad to lose. He does not impair my life, rather makes it a little more enjoyable.
