For many months I began drawings strange symbols in the dust on windows or with a pen on paper until one day I a large scale pentagonal seal. The seal came as a vision and as I was drawing it certain symbols appeared as fire. I have been trying to find the meaning behind the symbols for over a year and I know many of you will either treat this as a joke or make jokes about this but I ask that if anyone can help explain the symbols or knows someone please show the this post. I will be checking it periodically.

Help me trace the origins of this idea. It might be the most easily demonstrable instance of disinfo in existence. I'd like to know where it came from and how it spread so quickly.

Encounters with extra terrestrials. For decades the greys formed the basis of public perception, occasionally parodied by little green men, and eventually the introduction of tall whites. In the late 90s and early 2000s an idea seemed to arise that there were three alien races interfering with human development on earth. Some were described as benevolent and others less so. Suddenly and without a credible source or origin this concept spread everywhere. Added to the story was a concept that they fed off different kinds of emotions, as though they hadn't done enough to undermine any pretense of legitimacy already. Sites like beforeitsnews and analogues hosted stories posted by bots, copied word for word, and voted to the front page for months at a time. It seems to me that for such a dumb idea to be pushed so hard, usually by bots, there must be an organized force behind it. It is my hope that if we can trace the origins of this idea we can speculate as to who and why.

So, I have my own affection for the theories of Julian Jaynes and Iain McGilchrist. Is the community here familiar with those authors, do any of you have an opinion of their work?

Personally, I like to tease out the notion of a pre-conscious society and place their works in a potentially wider category that identifies civilizations as having a mental component not unlike a psychiatric disorder. The particular quirks of thinking that medicine associates with specific mental disorders, an impartial observer would be able to discern in the people of different civilizations.

Pretending I made my point more clearly than I have and then jumping to the conclusion, I like to think of cultures as defined around a dominant mental disorder, delusion or psychosis, that in short, culture is a mental illness. Without the shared mental life that cannot be rooted in anything more concrete than belief, I think cultures fall apart or are unable to propagate themselves. I think a lot of the kerfuffle of the modern age is about this imagined and real competition between different historical traditions and where people privately imagine it will lead in the future.

Well, suffice it to say, I have my own creative theories about society and I consider Jaynes' work an inspiring jumping off-point I would recommend. I'd love to hear anyone else's opinions even slightly relating to bicameralism.

I decided to post this here, on the reasoning that if civilization or individual consciousness itself is the product of a learned, perhaps delusional belief, then isn't society itself sort of a subconscious conspiracy in which we all take part?

Hey /x I'm usually a /b or /pol user but I have a question. See when I was around 10 I had a night terror. Recently my little was born so felt very protective of him. One night I was figity in be and I felt like I was being watched. I opened my eyes and saw a reddish tint on the room as if one of those decorative lights was on. Then I saw what looked like a shadowy man step in front of my door. I was overwhelmed with actually terror and started flipping my shit. This went on for a while till the man left and my mother woke me up telling me that I was screaming and crying. I didn't tell her why but here is the question. Have you ever experienced something similar to me and what happened to you? Pic not related
