A couple things you should know first:
1. I never rode the bus home in elementary, I was picked up by my dad

2. I lived far away from any kids my age, so I had a hyperactive imagination as a young child, didn't have anyone to play with after school until I was 12.

What the serious fuck, /x/? It wasn't even THAT sad of a dream, but the way I woke up you'd think I had a war flashback. Anyone on here can give me some insight?

A couple more things you should know about me

1. I never had the "special someone" to truly bond with, sure, I had friends, but not the one you'd do anything for. I believe that spurred from not having any neighboring children as a young child.
2. I Never had any friends that were girls.

You sure you've not any repressed memories? I've heard of times where people have repressed memories that have come out in strange cases where those in the dreams are not who they appear to be but people wholly different you've forgotten about. Just a theory on my part honestly.

Well honestly I'm going to say I'm not sure about the whole paintings being haunted or anything but I inherited a painting from my grandmother by I think Maynard Dixon, something or other to do with native americans but anyway. I had it hung up for a while and I just got strange uncomfortable vibes off it and horrid shit happened here and there, currently I've moved and have it sitting in a back room I don't really go into for reasons of the very same vibes but worse so it could be haunted. I myself don't like the idea in believing in creatures you can't actually touch but it is what it is I suppose.

My ex gf worked with the coroners office. She got the job while we were together. Prior to that nothing noteworthy took place.

Within a week of her working there strange things and feelings started to occur at her place.

Lights flickering, hearing things being moved around, weird smells, etc. Creepy.

when you are awake, your imagination needs to compete with your other senses.
look into sensory deprivation.

I sure as fuck don't see anything clearly in my dreams. Last night I dreamed the Elves from Skyrim invaded Texas and started building cages around water fountains, that doesn't seem very clear to me.

Probably this, given my experience with having real world sensory input unwantedly ending up in my dreams.

I've had a ton of dreams where I'm randomly in my underwear. I've started to just recognize it as physically worn underwear intruding unwantedly on the dreamspace and to just go with it. If I ignore the lolrandom bouts of nakedness, either my dream-clothing comes back or everything in the dream goes along with my ignoring that I'm nearly naked.

I wish I could remember what I dreamed last night. I think that on every day when I don't remember it.
