IoT is actually really scary, like it's amazing how much control these things will have over our life eventually.

Some people don't think about it, but having your lights controlled through your phone? The data accumulated would basically boil down to 'this is when x person has their lights on'. But. that data could be sold to all sorts of companies: telemarketers, electric companies, and in worse case scenarios, human traffickers. Even those little floor cleaning robots can make maps of the interior of your home, and if that data gets into the wrong hand, your entire floor plan could be on display for anyone.

Complete control won't happen soon - probably not for another 30-50 years - but the idea of it is still frightening.

That depends. Is that little voice inside your head yours to begin with? Not the conscience but the other voice. The one that doubts and says you are not good enough. The one that keeps you in an endless cycle of addictive behavior and gives you cravings that you don't understand. The one that constantly weighs you down and points out your flaws. It is paranormal. If you have anxiety out of fear its related to be on lower vibrations.
If we use chakras as a schematics to explain it, it means you are stuck on survival mode where you are stuck between the root chakra and the third eye chakra (meaning you think and think for all eternity with no solution ever being stuck on survival fear). It's also the cause of ADD which doesn't let you focus on the present surroundings. It causes ADD the more time you change yourself biologically by being in constant anxiety stress which imprints this on your regular biology. If you like paranormal the more you are stuck on survival mode you start seeing lower vibration beings like demons and so on and they can see you and affect you.

They way to fix anxiety is to focus on the present deviating from emotions completely, when you feel better you can focus on better feelings of success and rethink your life.

There are a number of entities that could potentially fall under the moniker of "gnomes."
