How much parmesan should a risotto have? I tried to make one

How much parmesan should a risotto have? I tried to make one for the first time yesterday, but I used too much and turned it into something similar to cheesy baked rice. Nearly an hour in the kitchen for nothing :(

It depens on tastes... Simeone likes more parmesan, someone less and someone ears it even without it.
My suggestion is to pur a cup of parmesan at The center of The table and everyone puts on it according to their tastes.

The parmesan has to be grated and added to the mix little by little with the fire off.
Keep stirring until the grains stick together. I'd say 40 grams for two people is enough.

Mia madre lo faceva così, più che per dargli gusto era per tenere insieme i pezzi. Ogni tanto lo metto direttamente sopra.
Da come OP si è espresso mi sembrava che avesse aggiunto troppo parmigiano in pentola facendo un disastro.
