The other day, I switched my ISP and got a new modem. On my old one, when my connection went out, I hit the reset button on it and it fixed it. With this one, they say not to push it and unplug it for a second if it does that. Is there really any reason why pushing the reset button is bad for it?

it will probably do a factory reset , and will lose some pre-programmed settings for you isp
