Besides the games in the first section, what I mostly played was actually GameBoy, GameBoy Color, and GameBoy Advance games with the gamecube adapter and a system link to trade pokemon between my Firered and Emerald games.
In this sense, the Gamecube has a huge potential to play all of those older NES/SNES titles they ported to the Gameboy systems, like Donkey Kong(1996), Super Mario Bros/World Series (Titled Super Mario Advance 1-4 for the Gameboy remakes)

If we're talking about the story mode, I'd recommend XD over Colosseum.

GC also has the best Fire Emblem, Path of Radiance, but physical copies are a bitch to come by.
