Torrenting Adobe programs on a Mac. I'm used to PC, usually you just run a .cmd file but on Mac I have to fuck with host file. Apparently this is very senstitive so I wanted to check here to ensure I did everything right.
Attached is a picture of the Terminal input I have. I dragged the .osx file to the terminal program, and hit yes to override my hosts file (this blocks Adobe from connecting to verify my product)
It seems like it worked but I'm not ready to go back online yet, if it didn't please help me to fix this. Thank you
This is what I saw after running disable activation.osx as root user
I'm assuming permission denied is bad
Bump, need this advice soon before I go back online
Go into terminal and type:
nano /private/etc/hosts
It should look like mine in pic related

My screenshot fucked this up but 'nano /private/etc/hosts' is all one line.

Thanks a lot, mine is slightly different but I'm assuming this is sufficient? Also, this was only meant for illustrator but I'm assuming the crack works for flash too since the key gen did?
>>52017
Yeah I did mine a couple of years ago so it's probably different now but if the blocker did that it'll suffice. Yeah should work for flash as well if the serial worked.
Also are you the guy who just got an iMac that I helped in that other thread? I'd just like to point out that on OS X you generally put your applications on the dock instead of using aliases (shortcuts) on the desktop.
>>52022
Yeah I am. I caved and bought a VPN (private Internet access or something / 6$ for a month)
Why's that? I'm not a big fan of having a huge dock, is there something bad about shortcuts?
>>52022
Oh also, all the programs seem to be working fine, I'm gonna keep the Keygen to keep working with more programs, but otherwise, is it safe to delete all the torrented folders?
>>52031
There's nothing bad about shortcuts really but it's just not the done thing; you put the programs you use most in the dock and if you need anything else you use spotlight (cmd+space) to find it quickly. It saves a lot of time as you don't have to make your way to the desktop to find anything.

Yeah if it's working then there's no need to worry about deleting stuff.
