2 tips:
-increase the threshold on the wand
-after selecting the white part, go to Select > Grow and grow the selection 1 pixel to get the extra fuzz around

Thanks, but there's some white left that looks like shoulders but should be empty space. It's fine as is but I'd like if you could get rid of those too.
