I really like When The Seagulls Cry.
There's lots of room within the concept of mystery. Altered Carbon is a great suggestion.
I really liked Yiddish Policeman's Union and The City & the City recently.
None of those are something you'd like if you're into the Agatha Christie though (I can't stand her.)
You might also want to look into classics. There is a lot of good Noir stuff, and a bunch of it is collected into big volumes of multiple novels which are a good deal. Library of America has some good editions of several noir novels stuck together. Of course all the Sherlock Holmes stuff is public domain and free online, but those tend to come in big omnibus editions too.
If you're into Holmes or Agatha Christie but have read that stuff, Dorothy Sayer is another writer from that period/tradition you might like.
