I watched the Patlabor OVA and now I want some more comfy workplace antics. Anything come to mind?

I tried Planetes once before but I found the characters quite irritating.

Dai-Guard is a very similar show, but more upbeat as it's not Oshii. Also, there's the Patlabor TV series.

But really planetes is good. Too bad about your taste in characters. All of them have arcs and goals and are pretty well realized. ah well.

cromartie is kinda like work place antics, but way more manic. try it and maybe you'll like it?
